It’s infuriating how much he downplays his indiscretions and won’t allow Katie to process her feelings without making her feel like she’s over reacting when she absolutely is not.

@@lisanetgark415 I’m so with you on your remarks about Katie. She was/is the problem in her relationship with Schwartz. Very emotionally controlling in that relationship. She presented as so insecure continually, and she drained him of energy. In fact, they drained each other. He seemed to be always trying to get away from her, but she would be clingy. They were not meant to be together. It was an awful relationship. They are both needy people. Even though they were in the midst of divorce, she wanted to control him, by stating that she did not want him to date friends in the group. Huh? It’s his decision. Maybe he wouldn’t have, but she made that a stipulation to him, which made it more enticing to him. He actually said those words. Together they were the embodiment of an unhealthy relationship.
@@valeriejohnson8771 I’m not Katie’s biggest fan & I definitely think she has her own set of faults. However, I think she was a great partner. She had his back in pretty much every season. He constantly went against her. It’s fine for him to disagree with her, but that should be done in private. In front of others he should of showed an united front with his girlfriend/wife. I honestly think he was emotionally stunted. His brothers seemed to be the same way (what little they were in the show). It makes me wonder how they were raised.

Thank you!!! Everyone overlooked that he got very physical with women. Poured a drink on stassi, on Katie, and pushed Kristen super hard and knocked her over during her confrontation with stassi. I think everyone overlooking it also made Katie think it was acceptable

Over the years, Katie has been horribly mistreated on this show by Stassi, Sandoval and especially Schwartz. I've been amazed over the years that she never lost her self confidence. A lot of people call her a mean girl. I think she's a strong woman who sticks up for herself and is a loyal friend when called upon. I admire her.
A strong woman that sticks up for herself wouldn’t stay with a man like that. I like Katie but she gets her confidence from manipulative and controlling people. She should’ve left Tom the first time she cheated but I believe her insecurity told her she couldn’t do better than Tom. His looks trumped all of his horrible traits. He’s so ugly inside and now she can move on for once.
Katie is the biggest bully (not only physically big), shes the first one to hate on someone whos doing better than her. im not a huge Tom fan but thank god he got away from that big linebacker body party pooper, shes awful.

I'm not a fan of Katie, but her "partner" spent more time with people who hated her and insulted her, than he did with her. He invited James Kennedy on a trip to Mexico, after James fat shamed her multiple times. Katie had to tell Schwartz to disinvite him. Even then, Schwartz still had to go to Sandoval for his opinion on whether James should go. I mean, are you kidding me? Lol

The lesson of their relationship is you can't force someone to meet your emotional needs. Katie kept trying with Tom but it was like trying to get blood from a stone. He was never going to meet her needs and she should have recognized that instead of pressuring him into marriage. She was still trying to get him to meet her needs after she left him. I think she's finally realized that he can't do it and has let go. Finally.

I used to not like Katie, but this recent season has opened my eyes to Schwartz. Katie was always taking the fall for being the bad guy even Schwartz always got away with his bs because he played “nice guy”. A shame
The true colors of them as a couple and just the relationship in general came out in s5 in the joint bachelor & bachelorette party in New Orleans. Kristen brought up some stuff with the cheating that Katie and Tom didn’t want to discuss on camera. And that was made clear on the show by how visibly uncomfortable everyone got. How Katie was not even angry just visibly squeamish and how angry Schwartz was about it. It was very clear with the body language of everyone they were saying a lot without saying it. Like an “oh sh*t. This got brought up on camera again. It def will be aired. So we have to roll with it.” I would be so very curious to ask them what was behind the scenes then. Cause some of the cast just rolled with things and didn’t care and some were very guarded of what was discussed for storylines.

I truly believe the only reason Lisa gave Schwartz a chance with Tom Tom was because of Katie. Lisa over the years has shown clearly that she truly cares for Katie in almost a mom type of way.
She gave him a chance because of Sandavol lol Lisa is just as close with him, & she’s not a stupid woman…she knew Tom & Tom were way more committed to one another than KT & Tom ever were.
Schwartz was always swayed by Tom Sandoval who hated Katie. When a best friend is just as important or more important than your wife and your marriage, that marriage can never be a happy one. Katie needs a husband with supportive friends who really love and value their wives and their marriages. Then came back from WALMART and gave me a Tiffany colored gift bag (I had told him after another fight whwn he said out of nowhere “lets look at rings. It's been heartbreaking throughout the last few years I think she thought once she was his wife he would start having her back even if she was right or wrong. I've seen her almost breakdown talkin about it. After the divorce filed she said she thought maybe as friends he would start having her back but she guess it wasn't a relationship thing it was her he didn't like. Something to that effect but it was heartbreaking.
I think she just wanted him to be her "yes man" and he called her out.

However a few months ago I went back and rewatch everything from the beginning and a few days ago I started from season one watching it all again. And it's kind of disgusting he really did never have her back. Most of the time even problem she was having with somebody else he was defending them to her. I've literally watched him have everybody else's back but hers. And like she said many times sometimes I just want to talk and just have you listened to me. And where we see some bad things people don't realize not many wives would let their husband do what they want to do when they want to do especially after finding out they cheated. Even Lisa told him you may not agree with what your wife said but you don't do that in public you wait until you're at home. It's almost cringe-worthy goodtime Katie's having an altercation with someone and he'll jump in defending that other person making Katie look like an a******. Even one episode recently someone yelled at him and said oh you finally have your wife's back for once. If ever the saying there were three in this marriage is appropriate it's with Tom, Katie and Tom. Is if Tom is anyone somebody should take relationship advice from lol so many years he's never liked Katie and came between her and Schwartz. I think Stacy brought out the worst in Katie. I'm 66 and as you get older you really do get wiser. But I absolutely cringe by Katie's behavior I'm the way she's treated people at times. As I said a couple months ago I re-watch all the seasons and I started again a few days ago. Katie was a different person when Stacy was out of her life. I've been guilty of that hanging around people who only badmouth other people and I fell into that gossipy negative behavior myself. Right now I'm rewatching the season where sheena's getting married. And she needs to be careful hanging around with Christina Kelly again because she was number two after stassi of they're awful behavior. I don't think Katie's a leader she's more of a follower and his influence by the people she has around her for the most part. I'm telling you though sometimes my heart has hurt for her seeing her around positive people who like her you can tell she's not used to someone laughing at her jokes or having her back. Ariana and yes Lala also are going to be good for Katie. Like I said I'm rewatching the season of sheena's wedding. And she's really a sweet person. Stacy never had Katie's back either the only time she had Katie's back was when Katie was acting or repeating what stassi would tell her to do. Stassi telling Katie how she should act and treat Tom after he hurt her. She was basically mad or finding with Tom's at time after hearing stassi tell her what she should do and not put up with. So watching her stand-up to stassi and tell her that she wants to do what's right for her and Tom's relationship was awesome. I just seen where Tom felt so bad after Katie found out about him making out with some girl in Las Vegas. And stassi's telling her what she should do and Tom goes by Stacy's apartment to give Katie flowers and be nice to her and stassi's the one that started telling him what a bad person he is and then he's trying to make up with Katie and then stassi actually kicks him out of the apartment. Tom was trying to make up with Katie and stassi didn't give him the chance she just started going at him. And then you see the difference in Katy and Tom's relationship without stassi around. Stassi would have rather had Katie break up with Swartz instead of going to sheena's bachelorette party in Miami. I saw the sweet person I believe she is. She didn't want Katie to make up so easy with Tom and then she didn't want Katy talking or being around any of the people that stassi didn't think was good enough. I'm seeing in this season Katie evolving. Also again because of re-watching it I've seen what a real a****** Schwartz has been to Katy.. he says he's stupid things that he thinks is a joke that actually hurt Katie. I don't see her wanting a yes-man the way you're saying I just see someone who just wanted her husband to stand up for her. And I think it becomes so obvious because she's had to watch him stand up for people like Tom and Rachel. Meaning she has saw him have everybody else's back except hers. And you know that can make a woman feel even more like he's never had her back. She watches him stand up for other people and she only wanted the same thing. That hurts. Even Lisa said to Tom even if you don't agree with your wife at the moment you take it up with them in private not in front of a bunch of people. She said it doesn't matter who's right or wrong at the time is not the place to do it. It was disrespectful I have seen the bed in Katy and they don't show much of katies kindness. You know what's having somebody's back is putting aside your differences and going with your man to Miami. If she just wanted him to be a yes man he would not have been going on all those boys trips they were constantly taking. She even said she didn't want to be the kind of person that would hold him back and put a leash on him. It really does show a lot of Schwartz doing and saying anything he wants and to me it looks like she said yes to him all the time. I'm sorry that was so long. I really can't understand how it looks that way but when you go back and watch it again you pick up on a lot of things that you may not the first or even second time around. You'll also see how mean he is to her and what her purple things he has said to her. I think Stacy and Tom caused or inflamed problems with Schwartz and Katie. I've already seen a change in her and season 10 and I can't wait to see her next season. She's got more loyal and caring friends around her than she ever has. You know her self-esteem was so low and that's why she's brought Christina Kelly back around her. I'm hoping to see her become friends with Sheena again cuz I think Sheena is a good and loyal friend. But before she know was friends with both of the times and that had an influence on her and Katie's relationship too. I think Lala common Ariana and Sheena will be the best things that's happened to Katie and having friendships. Maybe they can scrub that last bit of s***that stassi and Christina Kelly has brought to Katy.

I didn't like Katie for a long time. I did see Tom as the loveable rouge. The fact he's good looking and so mild mannered with everyone (All except Katie. I know she had her moments but ive been in an abusive relationship, both physically, but more painful emotionally and when he says im disgusted by you, yoir such a turn off etc...and thats on camera!! God knows how bad it gets behind closed doors! Tom unfortunately is an abusive man, but they act the good guy to everyone else to hide this and make it look like your the bad one. He never stood up for her. I remember I think it was last season or the season before. They were having a dinner party or something at there home, and he was talking her so crazy to her in front everybody. So much that a server from TomTom who was there, literally told Tom he was wrong for that. I don’t remember if he ever apologized to her for that.
Let's also not forget Jim not liking the name "Schwartz and sandy" telling jet that, yet when she stands up for hip with Sandoval about it, he goes in on her...i am glad she realizes her mistake and divorced him. Now when needs to not talk to him and cut him out

I use to like Katie and had defended Katie up until this year when her heartless actions against Scheana proved that she’s unloading her failed marriage and all her problems with Schwartz for the past decade onto Scheana. She targets Scheana all the time and focuses and redirects all the pent up anger she has for Schwartz and dumps it onto Scheana. She aims for Scheana bc Scheana is an easy target. Scheana unfairly receives the brunt of Katie’s anger. Enough is enough! For over a decade Katie has been going after this poor girl. Katie’s years and years of constant abuse and ongoing bullying of Scheana was too much to ignore and was absolutely indefensible and so unbelievably cruel and difficult to watch. She and Stassi bullied the hell out of this girl for over 10 years! The badgering never stopped. I don’t even like Scheana but Katie’s treatment of her is extremely abusive that it makes me feel sorry for Scheana. Katie makes herself hard to like and hard to please. Schwartz is awful spineless loser but Katie has grown to be abusive and a big bully. She takes everything out on Scheana and unloads her miserable relationship and all that she’s suffered with Schwartz onto Scheana. She scapegoats and blames Scheana bc it’s easier than going after Schwartz. Stop abusing another woman bc of the pain a man caused you for years!

Really dislike Schwartz. He’s the kind of guy who prioritizes everyone else over his woman and doesn’t stick up for her. He doesn’t have a spine. He somehow gets other people to say what he’s actually thinking and wants to say, but can’t bring himself to say it, bcs he wants to keep his image as “the nice guy”. When in fact, he’s actually a douche. I don’t like Katie much either, but I understand why their marriage didn’t work out. He’s not been much of a husband to her. But there are times when she irritates me too. She just seems very controlling and entitled to me. Wish them both the best though! It’s all about learning from our mistakes and improving ourselves. 😁

I think the second Katie gave Tom an ultimatum to be with her the relationship was doomed. I think Katie always played the victim card when Tom would call her out on her bullshit. I also just think Tom was not always there as a partner for her to support her. I think they both had poor actions and decision making which led to the divorce. Everyone is so quick to blame Tom, but Katie was always the victim and the bully.
