Korean should be proud having them as one of their gem and treasure. If I see korean media do them sht, it's on sight
Rizka Savira - if you watch closely, the tide is beginning to turn in Korea. We just have to give them a little time to learn what a true gift they have. More and more of the citizens are beginning to recognize and appreciate their efforts. Soon it won’t matter what the media wants to do or say.
The way SKorea is corrupted..I hope they treat the boys very well

And I think K media finally know how big is BTS and I can see BTS news frequently thesedays.
May i ask why ppl think the Skorea media is corrupted?! I live in Seoul and BTS is HUGE here too. We have so many boy bands here so BTS was just one of them even 3-4 years ago. But now they’ve achieved so many things, which no kpop band has done before! Pls do not misunderstand, ppl respect BTS efforts!

Yes im Korean . Many ppl love BTS. Before BTS had no chance to appear on TV because they were from small company....and Korea has Big 3 Entertaintment company so BTS had hard time but these days many ppl know about them and there are so many Armys! Another stellar performance, and what a fantastic set idea. These Bangtan men did it again! 🫶🏼🙏🏼
Whoever came up with the idea of replicating Beatles concept for this performance is a real genius. I will give a full credit to the staffs of the colbert show. It is really amazing to see how BTS syndrome is accepted as simular as that of Beatles. They look fantastic and the performance was superb~!!💜
It gets better, and I don't see anyone mentioning it: This was meant to replicate the Beatles' performance on the Ed Sullivan Show (with Stephen Colbert as Ed Sullivan) - and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is actually taped in the very same Ed Sullivan Theater.
Oh, come on. You're comparing BTS with _The Beatles_ . Seriously.
Max Planck they’re comparing the impact. bts has broken multiple records previously held by the beatles.
@@maxplanck1077 seriously? can you not read through lines? LoL you must have gotten F for a literature class or something. I said " syndrome". The crazy syndrome BTS has created to their fans is similar to that of Beatles. I am not talking about anything else. That is what they are talking about. Who else in this age make their fans camp out around their concert stadiums a week prior to their concert? Whoe else does that these days? No one but BTS makes fans do that. Camping out 1 week before the concert starts just to get the best viewing standing seats. That is a phenomenal, very rare to see these days. BTS has that impact on people.
Btw, FYI BTS has gotten no.1 on billboard 200 chart 3 times in a row within 11 months. BTS is the only artist who has that record after Beatles. It is a FACT. DEAL WITH IT!😊
@@koyukiny First of all, I always had straight A's in literature class.
Secondly, I still stand by my judgement, if I had lived in the 60's, I would have waited a whole month to attend a Beatles' concert.
Thirdly, BTS fans are hella defensive. If someone had said something similar about a band I like, I would have said "sure, suit yourself". I wouldn't need to justify my music taste.
People need to understand that they are not comparing their music to each other! Both have completely different sounds. The comparisons is between the impact that bts is doing right now to what The Beatles did in the 60s! Anyways, I love them both!
go’Seok also the fact that Colbert tapes his show in the Ed Sullivan theater, the same theater where Ed Sullivan himself had his show that was the first American tv show where The Beatles were both interviewed and performed.
Please... they'll be forgotten about in 10 years. No comparison
Brian Fewer, you sure about that? If so I don’t think you know how many people there are that love them and their vocals are amazing just like how the Beatles vocals were. So I’m pretty sure their story will be going on for a long time. But thank you for your opinion and this is mine

For some reason, this made me very emotional. Unfortunately I haven’t been with BTS since their humble beginnings in 2013, but I found them when I needed them the most mid 2017, just before their massive global recognition. And I’m proud. So very proud of these seven young men who’ve changed the perspective not only on music but so many other things. They deserve everything good that’s coming to them. They’re humble, hardworking, kindhearted. And I will support them, always. 💜
same happened to me. I found them in late 2016, and their music came to me when I truly needed them. They gave me hope when my life was so messed up. I love them to pieces. Seeing them now, that they reached so much global popularity makes me so emotional and happy for them. They deserve everything.
I mean, I have been their fan since 2013 and in my opinion, it was very annoying how they were mistreated and looked down upon for leaving hip-hop, which they never did. If you're very easily depressed or if you're hurt easily then that time and era would not have been in your favour. There was no way that I could see them succeed back then and it made me angry af because their music really helped me. I hated their debut days and wished that they had never gone through that.
But that's what made them into who they are and I am thankful they weren't from the big 3 and instead from bighit ent.
Right when I found them ... In mid 2017 just before their massive global recognition 🔥

Colbert show staffs really know how to do the work done.
They didn’t mess up
1. the camera work
2. the interview by asking stupid questions
3. describing ARMYs by putting a guy fan in the middle of performance as opposed to calling ARMYs bunch of teenage girls.
And last but not least, they seemed to have done the research and found out Singing In The Rain homage in the Boy in luv MV cause Beatles Analogy and this colorless BTS performance perfectly matched..💜💜💜

The way they pay homage to the Beatles says it all for itself. As a huge beatles and bts fan, this is everything I needed in my life.
V always have the best voice during any live performance 💜
I first saw them last week on SNL and was so charmed and impressed. Their skills are on point (and damn handsome young men)! Seeing them again on the Late Show was a treat.
Watch their MV they have eng sub their discography & lyrics are very inspiring & meaningfull . watch spring day , fake love , fire , dope , persona , NO ,idol ...
Watch the bts live performances of airplane pt 2 best of me and dionysus
Glad to hear you enjoyed the performance, they really work hard.
An absolutely fantastic homage to The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show. Beautifully done.
This is actually very easy choreography, they are known for their amazing lyrics, dope music, especially for sharp and synchronised dance moves
@@sriharshasangojh881 yeah, I know. I've been a fan since I heard the opening bassline to No More Dream in 2013 and joked "Oh shit, Cypress Hill are back!"
@@KyleS3m3noff 2013? omg, thanks for believing in them and see the potential they had when no one else did.
@@LinhTran-hq6sm it's hard to believe it was only 4 years ago in 2015, the wife saw them at the Roundhouse in Sydney - a small venue you could squeeze maybe 2000 people into if you really tried. She was right up front and at that point in their careers she even got to do hi-touch afterwards.
Fast forward 4 more years and they're doing two sold out nights at gargantuan venues like MetLife.
It's amazing how far they've come.
Thank you for staying with them since the early days👏😭💜
I just cannot get enough of them
BTS are my pride, i'm so so proud to be an Army. BTS are breaking Beatles records. They aren't the next Beatles , they are BTS, they made their own name, they are the next greatest band of this century.
Y luego despertaste 😂😂
@@Swiftie4589de hecho ellos ya vencieron varios récords de varios grupos gringos, estoy están dominando listas, es una realidad, nada cuesta aceptarlo.
I watched them on SNL with my daughter (28) because she's a big fan. I'm hard of hearing so I really didn't pick up too much of the music, but it was the happiest I've seen my daughter in a long time. I think she was trying to play it cool and not look too excited in front of me, but I kept noticing her silently clap her hands throughout their performances. So even if I don't listen to them myself, they'll always bring me fond memories.
This is a really sweet comment! Thank you for sharing & I wish you and your family the best. :)
This comment is awesome.
I totally get how your daughter was feeling. Even two years ago the idea that K-pop would get mainstream recognition in America, a country so traditionally resistant to foreign-language media in general let alone something Asian, seemed like a fantasy. So it's been exciting. Super exciting. 😊
aww you're such a sweetheart
Kip Craige i could see that you really love your daughter. 💜
Oh, that is such touching.
BTS are a major pop culture event that is here to stay! Charismatic and talented with great social commentary and meaning in their korean lyrics, the most exciting thing to happen to the mainstream in a LONG time
Watermelonsunrise this ^^^ completely agree

Omg!!! Jin’s high angelic voice, deep down voice and fire dance moves are out of this world!!! 🥺😍🤗💜💜💜💜💜 And Jin is looking so damn handsome and hot as always!!! 🥵🤤💜💜💜💜💜 I love you forever Jin!!! 😘😘😘💜💜💜💜💜
They are all elegant in black suit BTS thank you for sharing
Their presence is so organic and their sincere personalities are refreshing. I hope more people give them a chance. They clearly have so much to say. They’re making history.
nah
Namjoon: organic!
@@ok4412 it's already happening, they are making history with every album release and they did it with singing in Korean and overcoming racists and typical immature hate for just no reason at all. BTS is taking over and they are doing it with love and style :-) Peace!
@@lanlan0319 no, thanks
really like the addition of the black and white filter it goes so well with the song vibe and the whole theme they were going for ! Colbert nailed it good job

I thought the whole concept of Persona was supposed to be bright, pink and bright and pink?
@@stxrdustie the whole peformance was meant to look as the Beatles break through peformance in the US. Considering they are being compared to them because they are the only band to reach 3 number 1 albums within a year.

As a Beatlemanaic, It's amazing to see another band who inspire and impact millions if not billions of lives. I'm not really a BTS fan but they are like The Beatles in their early times. The Beatles changed my life with their music, and cured my depression. BTS is doing the same thing today with my generation. These guys are already legends.
Peace and Love, and Love Yourself everyone!
Edit: Thank you everyone for your kind words as well!!! Peace and Love!!!!
Thankyouuuu😭😭😭💜💜💜💜
What a beautiful message💜 Thanks a lot and have a great day!
Thank youuuuuu :’)
Thank you💜💜💜💜
Thank you for your kind words 💜 I myself have been a Beatles fan all my life and now that I'm also a BTS fan (an army) watching them playing a homage to the fav four brings so much joy to my heart that can't be described with simple words 💜
The guys in suit take our breath away
I MISS BTS!
Damn the performance level is off the charts. Live singing with those moves. Much respect!
Marie you can check out the Mic Drop Music video, their dance moves there is so extreme. You will love them.
And their voices are always so stable!! You can see the everyday hard work.
@Marie💜💜💜thank you for your comment
I don’t wanna hear any excuses about that stage being too small to perform well. BTS owned it and there’s 7 of them.
Marie
For amazing aesthetic dance performance check Jimin - Serendipity live in Rose Bowl on youtube
I'm 62 and 'am their army for 3 yrs.now..i love them very much 😍❤💖❤
I'm 36 and a mother,I'm surprised how they make me feel young again. I thought no entertainers could empress me again after all the great artist I stanned during my younger years but BTS probed me wrong. Love doesn't need age or gender, same love.
Mhayen Bruegas Aww Thank you 🥰
same here they bring my youth again and so many people accept their presents so good to be part of army coz BTS they 've fullfill my dreams
I'm 23 and I just discovered these guys last year. I'm Irish and they are absolutely amazing

Bro, The Beatles are my fav band but I'm also an Army, and this performance is a dream for me.
They showed this on the Italian news and my 90 yrs old grandma said "bei tosi" that means handsome fellas in venetian dialect, lol
Gloria dude my family's from Milan one for the Italian brothers and sisters lol

I just want people to understand how huge this is. They're Asian. They're not white, they don't sing in English... yet they're achieving all these things. Selling physical albums in the digital era, selling out stadiums (MetLife, Rose Bowl, Soldier Field, Wembley...). These Korean kids are doing the unimaginable
They are not kids anymore 😢
@@shuunknown hahaha

As an Asian, I am proud of what they do.

Wow..BTS in the Beatles Show😍.. BTS, so cool.
South Korea is kicking ass in every way imaginable -- excellent cars & SUVs, the K-pop scene, BTS, and the MAJOR advantage over America is their NATIONWIDE HIGH-SPEED INTERNET ACCESS, which the Republican Party has fought against since day one.
And Samsung smart phones, and LG and Samsung appliances, and the best fitness models ... Only just 100,000 km2 area and number 10 GDP in the world .............
I'm not bts fan but now I might be, I just can't beleive how extremely talented these 7 boys , their vocals, dance moves are on point also the song is really a bop I'm just obssesed and btw I can tell BTS are legends as well as the Beatles I didn't expect that I can see legendary group like the B but with BTS now i see
Thank u for giving them a chance 💜 welcome to the family
Wow
They just don't stick to one genre
Welcome to the family 💜
Hi thanks 💜 fyi they have different genres to cater diff taste in music. Plus they write and compose their own songs. Just genuine life changers and humble musicians.
I'm 36,if you are my age I'll recommend their magic shop, butterfly, and SEESAW (break up song).
this camerawork is so much better than GMA´s or even BBMA´s. thank you

BTS taught me to love myself and speak myself confidently what I am.
Watching this BTS performance on Stephen Colbert was a demonstration of their amazing talent . I was mesmerized. It lured me down the BTS rabbit hole, & I haven't climbed out since. I just love them. 💜💜

That makes me so happy ; -;
Lol ppl need to chill. This wasnt a video telling the world that bts is the beatles. Its a video showing that in this generation we have another boyband that is shaking the world with their popularity and influence and in this element, they can be compared. They have very different music, but no one can deny bts’ popularity rn.
agreed. and man people need to be more open minded then just assuming bts are copying others. it's really annoying how people are so closed minded.
And it's annoying when people say that BTS can't compare to the Beatles. It's your opinion but it's getting repetitive
Exactly, we are talking about the impact not the type of music .
PREACH
And one other thing is Kpop doesn’t just revolve around BTS. So people, stop saying every kpop group is BTS.
Legends
oh yeah yeah yeah.... took me right back. Now I'm a full BTS ARMY.
Just 6 years ago, bts was begging people on the streets to come to their concerts. After years of hard work and dedication, they're now known internationally and are even being compared to the Beatles. They did it. They really did it 💜
fanXgirlXbangtan DON’T MAKE ME CRYYYY

Just dont please i'm crying
Please don't 😭😭 They really have a very inspiring story
I'm getting emotional now :(
I can see what all the fuss was about. I've literally never heard a BTS song before and even the interview got me excited. They are so charming and talented. That choreography is awesome
That's where it starts good luck
Thanks for appreciating them :)
Check out their music if u feel like,u won't regret
I've been a fan for a month (better late than never :)), and this is their easiest choreography they've got. What made me their fan is their performance of Mic Drop on snl. The choreography is extremely hard and they sang live and sounded amazing. Honestly I've thought that would never be possible. Many artists lipsync while they are dancing, like Britney, and I'm not used to hearing live vocals in such performances.
Kudos to them!
BTS have many great songs in all genres of music and there is always a message which is much needed in the world today..also their personalities are so humble, charming and funny.. please give them a chance..I have a playlist 💜 just let us know what you think 👌🏾
