Nice work DW...this thing is coming along in leaps and bounds...Im also loving how the electricals are coming together...its giving me new ideas for mine
like the progress . She's looking bad ass! we've been sick with the corona bug . Videos like this helps me take my mind of my sickness and help me stay focused on my project car when I get better
Nice and clean. Them old ammeter gauges have burned 🔥 down too many rides. Also the 60s/70s bulkhead connector doesn't like high amp draw loads. They too can be problematic on their own.
its the paper fiber insulator strip between the meter and the instrument cluster that falls apart and causes the problem. I took mine and coated it in liquid electrical tape and let it dry and reinstalled 😎👍
Hello! Got some question about the throttle controll pedal. How did you solved that. The hole wireing system is in the way. Got the same problem here. Is it just to turn it 180 degrees?
@@TheDodgeWhisperer I gotcha. That’s what I figured. Thanks. I’m digging this wiring series. Very informative. I’ve got a Coronet to rewire and I’m wondering which kit yo use. Leaning towards this American Autowire.
@@TheDodgeWhisperer it looks simple till you look under the dash. They must of hired a former Chevy engineer to design the rats nest. It’s like they knew the wiring was going to be hot so they left them all loose so not to melt together. Just total sabotage!

Looks great! Recently tried my 65 Corvette and did the same delete for the amp gauge. Sure is nice having the voltage display and the USB slots
Car is looking great DW. I know you will be glad when this project is finished and you can turn the key. Zoom Zoom
I can't wait!
Ah yes the Friday eve DW vid is out✊
That looks like so much fun 😆 🤣 😂. Not something I could do without a punching bag set up next to the car.

Logic tells me the perfect fire storm scenario whould be the car was fitted with an aftermarket high amp alternator and weak battery.
Wait... If you deleted the AMP Gauge, Then how are you going to have the traditional Chrysler Wiring Fire???
duct tape to the rescue :)
Actually the bottom of this cars dash is easy access especially with the seat out should only be a two morning stiff neck job.

Man I hope my 88 D250 doesn't turn into a wiring nightmare 😫
well it is a Dodge LOL
Did you order the kit to the options you have or they more of a generic kit or build it to your needs kinda of setup?
It is a kit designed for 67-76 mopar a bodies
What is it you mean when you say "pin out"? Are you talking about terminating wires into plugs or bulbs?
Yes terminating the wires into the correct location in the connector
