The standout piece for me, was when Matt was explaining content streaming currently and it's why the existing providers ask you to buy hours instead of seconds because it's currently not financially viable. Ripple XRP solves this issue with it's speed and financial cost. It's obvious that this is what the Internet and the people need, although they don't know it yet. But, the current lions in the streaming sector are obviously keen for this technology but everyone who is at stake to get left behind by this technology is scrambling as fast as possible to get a piece of the biggest pie since the information super Highway was being talked about in the 1980's Regulatory authorities are also waiting at the trough, the banking institutions who stand to lose everything unless they adopt. So much is at stake that Ripple XRP in my view is being held on the start line by the world who's who until all the players have taken their positions on the biggest game of monopoly the world has ever seen. I for one am excited, 10 years from now is an exciting prospect
Any body answer? if ripple can settle in 3 seconds and its purpose is international payments, and to free up liquidity for its customers. WHY WHY do they need to hold it , just need to use it for 3 seconds, take the m2 money supply # before they quit reporting it, and 24hrs in a day, with a 3 secound transaction time, and you only need 700 million xrp to provide liquidity for 24 hrs, you can rense and repeat, one could argue you dont need 24hrs worth to perform this function of liquidity. Either way ripple already offers this to customers, and has more than enough to provide all the liquidity for the m2 supply every day, who needs to hold xrp and for what reason, ? were does its needed value arise from? Once they flip the switch, they dont need funding to build out there services, only enough left to provide liquidity for the world which they got, what and who needs our xrp . I think they designed the perfect and much needed cross border payment solution, but i cant see value when there is no need to hold or keep some , just use it for the 3 seconds need to complete transaction after transaction. Of a much bigger concern is Ripple's pivot to tokenization. Gensler has been exceedingly clear about the SEC interest in Tokenization. "“Make no mistake: It doesn’t matter whether it’s a stock token, a stable value token backed by securities, or any other virtual product that provides synthetic exposure to underlying securities. These platforms - whether in the decentralized or centralized finance space - are implicated by the securities laws and must work within our securities regime." Along the same line, Flare Finance is offering synthetics. This is a road with many potholes.
XRP appears to be in the unique position of being both a currency and a security at the same time. I think a Ripple test will have to be pioneered in place of the Howey test to address this. Regulators must plan for the potential that a decentralized world reserve currency could simultaneously be a securities offering. New rules are needed to define the broad range of distributed ledger technology use cases in order to effectively integrate these technologies into modern day finance. Now whether a blockchain tech is a currency, security, or some combination of both would need to be outlined and subject to change in regards to any specific changes in the offering or the use cases rendered.

I've seen good momentum in 2021 & I see an ever bigger momentum buiding up & I hope the XRP community will be rewarded for their long holds, but they might even turn out to be tax effective, due to the longer hold :-) Thanks for this great interview, outstanding quality, learned some & gained more insights. Keep up the good work ! And also much thanks to Matt Hamilton for making time to do this excellent interview. 40min well spent with my coffe, thanks again ! Greetz
Wow what a thought. Imagine XRP at 3k. But i've been more interested in decentralized computing these days. StrongNode ICP and ETH are all high quality coins in my mind.
StrongNode Is the future 😎
@@jameswhite3846 Oh yea StrongNode will be a household name in 2-3 years. Every cell phone/ smart tv will run StrongNode binary.

Well done XRP👍👍
How did Matt Hamilton take time away from skooling people on twitter to take this interview ;)
Can someone please explain "ethereum is tokenized on the xrp ledger"
