There's alot of ways that the archer blimp bomb can fail though. Double giant bomb, too close to a maxxed out bomb tower, e titan, too late on a invite causing scatters to wreck the group. Etc. I have been using this for a while now and it is strong but it isnt overly strong for reasons listed above. Like many other things it really is base dependant as well. The base in the video was begging for someone to do this to it.

Yeah, this is a bad representation of the actual blimp super archer strategy that usually only get a couple key defences not, **all of them**
The base had a faulty design. Electro chains would even work well.

Exactly why I love blizzard you clear all the important defense and the town hall leaving cannons and archer towers for cleanup. You also don’t even need any of your own troops for a blizzard
Yeah pretty much the only working defences that has a big impact are eagle xbows scatter infernos and townhall monolith
And in some attacks airdefence and air sweaper as well

This strat is good but only if the base has a lot of value in the core, and you gotta get the townhall. If you screw up you have no spells and no warden to save the 2 star.

In your head: Everything goes to plan and the base is crushed.
In reality: Blimp pops too soon, all troops lost on impact while you’re still dropping invis and clone spells like a madman trying to save the attack. E-Titans go any direction OTHER than where you want them to go and end up dead. Meanwhile you’re heroes are taking the scenic route to oblivion through the countryside of your opponents base.

This is why the current legend base separates the townhall, eagle, inferno and scatters
2015: Building bigger more elaborate bases to avoid getting 3 starred.
2023: building a base so carefully constructed to counter insanely powerful Metas it doesn't even look arranged to prevent getting destroyed at all.
No because once that is screwed up, there's no way to be back.
Practice otherwise you can screw up any attack strategy

Super archer blimp is strong in TH 14 and 15 because there's so many key defenses you can clear out, plus they're all long range attackers capable of damaging frontline defenses through the core

That's why you use 3 super archers and the rest with goblins and barbarians, so they pull the traps first. One extra archer isn't worth the risk of all of them getting killed by giant bombs or not getting as much value because of a tornado trap. Gotta be careful not to clone the goblins tho

People say giant bombs, tornado traps, but the real killer of this attack is the poison tower.
2 giant bombs and you're done. Place the spells too early and you hit a tornado trap and you're done. A poison spell tower and you're done. An electro titan CC troop wanders by and you're done.
Despite this, this is still my sole strategy for the last 2 years.

I mean they’re pretty trash in an actual army camp scenario. They just can’t make them work as actual troops because then people would get 50% of the base with a bomb like this.
I appreciate the super archer and super wizards being extremely glass cannons as it makes the blimp charge high risk high reward, very risky but very satisfying when its a success.
The only defence that can stop this double poison tower near the town hall 😌😌

It is somewhat broken but its because of the base setups. I'm a maxed th14 and if its a ring base I can take down a very stout th15. So that's not good. If I spend that time I would be upset having a th14 come in and wreck me. However people are starting to learn and the bases are adapting. Eagles are moving away from the Th, Bomb towers are being better placed to take away attractive drop zone areas. People have figured out that rocket loons can devastate the SA blimp even under inv spell, so you are seeing that more and more in CC comps. Its coming around, people have just been slow to react and adapt their base to it.
And that's why never clump up any major defenses together unless it's necessary for them to be together, unless you want a warden fireball or a blimp just annihilating those defenses in an instant
Blimp is strong but thats honestly a rly generous layout. I swear every rushed player whos never made it past even 5500 is gonna start whining abt how ez th15 is till everything is nerfed

I used this same strategy except with Hydra instead of Electro Titans to take out a Max Town Hall 16 in Legends league as a town hall 14.

Blimp drop was a short live strategy ... its only effective in th14 below now , most th15 now have an anti blimp design, the problem is 90% of your spell is needed for the blimp drop

The problem is the game needs more defense for max players. A 3 star should be the extreme exception, not the expected outcome EVERY SINGLE TIME.
And this is why you dont put all your key defenses in one cpmpartment
Bases have adapted and with a window for the drop, you're likely to run into a tornado trap. Also a superwizard will help clear close buildings often leading to an extra spell for later

Simple trick to destroy that attack is place cc close to th or possible drop zone of that blimp and fill cc with one electro titan...... The moment Titan comes in contact with troops its night night..... Thats why its a risky attack with the right cc placement

No one get such bases in legend legend, now bases are made so all buildings are far apart so all superarcher blimps becomes useless.
I remember playing coc awhile back and getting to TH 10 and it was soooo long and tedious to do anything, I couldn’t imagine doing even TH11 let alone 15.

Agree. In Legends, it's easily the most common attack and it does well quite often.
The best way to counter it is to (a) Use POISON spell towers where they might land (and this has some challenges as well), (b) use tornado trap NOT in line with sweepers (i.e., people will often avoid heading directly into sweepers, so strategically place said trap to catch them coming in), and (c) use GBs and even SBs where they can/often land. 2 GBs generally torch super archers.
EVEN THEN, it still works at much too high a %.
I'd EASILY vote to torch this attack. It's currently a part of my arsenal, BUT I'd gladly bomb it, as you don't even need to learn how to funnel to use this stupid attack.

Yeah but your not normally going to find a base that bad in cwl. Most bases make sure you can’t do that if it’s a proper war base
I hate this attack so much. It just feels dirty, and the win is undeserved. Especially since 99.999% didn't come up with it themselves, and they're just copying someone else. This is honestly my biggest complaint about the entire game, nobody wants to be original, just copy layouts and copy strats... whats the point?

Well, I mean, yeah, if your base is built like that, its going to get absolutely destroyed by blimp super archers, either placing traps inside the middle, spacing your strongest buildings more, not placing all of your strongest buildings in the middle or actually building a much safer base overall would've prevented this

That's a good sell on the strategy, but that base literally had every major defense lined up to knock down. I've never seen a base layed out like that, for a reason...

So for the very novice people that need this really broken down for us, we have the air blimp containing electro Titans and then it has invisibility, rage, and duplicate spells placed? Thought behind it is that the blimp goes directly to the town hall, but you can choose when it would deploy instead. So you choose the middle of all the big weapons. It drops the troops, in what order do you drop the spells?

I know that this attack looks easy but it is far from easy, there can be Bombs, Air sweepers and misplacement of spells that can wreak havoc on your attack and as a result fail miserably.

They need to get rid of this strategy or have it nerfed. Everyone is literally doing the same attack and it's too easy. No mix of attacks nowadays except from people just learning..
depends on the base, if there are poison towers around TH you will be dumped.
Biggest problem in this attack is donation of super archer if you dont have medals.
