Thanks for this Amazing Detailed Tutorial for Decal Master!!! I got the Addon but didn't yet Explore all its Powerful Features!!! So thanks for Showing all these Cool Tips and Tricks!!! 👍😁
Thanks for demoing this Ryan. [Question] For normal maps how easy is it to export those to a game engine? Is it just a normal map image or is it complicated like Decal Machine?
I have not used Decal Machine, so I can't compare it. This addon adds the decals within the material, as normal maps, so you would need to texture bake the material to texture maps after adding the decals to use in a game engine.
Hi, I wonder if you could make video how to make outline/lineart react to light? I couldn't find any satisfying info about it. Im looking for "The wolf amoung us" look, specifically it's visible on brick walls or other architecture where you can see colored outline of elements in totally black shaded areas.
Does it add it to the UV map, or is it projected from an empty, and if an empty, is that empty parented to the object so it follows it around, or does one have to reposition the empty each time the object is moved?
Hello, is it possible that the DECAL MASTER addon is discounted on Black Friday or is this type of discount not available? Greetings and above all congratulations on the videos, they are extremely educational.
please excuse if i missed it in the video but is it possible to have the decal allow the bump and displacement from the carboard box texture bleed through if that makes sense?
Yeah no, this is just another rebranding of the default image projection tool with an autistic keybind setup. If I can't just select image and then stamp it on without all this extra fluff, its worse than the default workflow and takes even more time just to fiddle around with the awful controls that most blender addons have. Im pretty sure human beings did not make those control schemes and it was ai generated at this point.

@Ryan King Art Awesome looking addon, thanks for the demo. A suggested next video might be to compare and contrast Decal Master to DECALmachine.
maybe I will sometime
Great addon! Great tutorial!
Glad you like it!
Thanks for the tutorial I just picked this up. The creator mentioned that it works well with SimpleBake, so I l;ook forward to using those 2 together.
cool!
The placeholder image reminds me a lot of the StampIT Placeholder Image. But i give it a try!

@@RyanKingArt Thanks for the reply. When you say Bake you mean the traditional Blender baking or does the add-on simplify this?
A useful addon for sure, thanks for the tutorials.
Are Decals baked with a texture baking?
the addon adds the decals into the materials, so if you bake it to texture maps, it will be baked into the material
love ur tutorials ❤
thanks!
Decals are very cool! Wish all texturing could be done as easy as this, I hate UWs :D
Watch Ryan's procedural material tutorials.
thanks

thanks!
Would you recommend getting this is you already have decal machine? They seem very similar.
i have never used decal machine so I dont know

its added to the material. and as far as I know, it doesn't use any UV maps.
it moves with the object because its added to the material.
@@RyanKingArt Thanks for the answer Ryan!
@RyanKingArt its added??? whaaaat
Hi, can i use Decalmachine Decals for this addon?
Hello, is it possible that the DECAL MASTER addon is discounted on Black Friday or is this type of discount not available? Greetings and above all congratulations on the videos, they are extremely educational.
Many Blender addons are discounted for Black Friday. But you'd need to ask the Addon creator to know for sure.
Ok ty
please excuse if i missed it in the video but is it possible to have the decal allow the bump and displacement from the carboard box texture bleed through if that makes sense?
ah blending modes lol
There must be a way to do the normal decals manually
yes there is
@@RyanKingArt any chance on a video on the subject?
It's a nice addon, but sadly can't afford it currently
Ok
@@RyanKingArt bro it's not ok. Can you do more FOSS add-ons?
