Hi Richard, My name is Indigo, I'm 11 years old from Devon. I love watching your UA-cam wildlife films. It inspires me to look for wildlife of my own. I have a little channel of my own called Indi-Go Go Adventures. We are on a Year out adventure in search of wildlife. We have just arrived on The Isle of Mull and are in search of Otters, Short Eared Owls and Eagles. It's obviously difficult to find wildlife without someone pointing you in the right direction, I was wondering if you would be kind enough to share the locations of where you had these wonderful encounters. We are very respectful and leave no trace. Thank you very, very much Indigo. I look forward for you next UA-cam film.
Looking forward to part two. You were definitely in the right place, I've used that stretch regularly over the last 15 years and its consistently been a great location for Otters. Weather does play a big part in spotting otters, much easier to spot in calm/still water.
My advice would be to book a wildlife tour of the island early on in your trip they show you where and what to look for for all the big 5 my wife and I booked with Enjoy Mull and had a great time

Great video. It is brilliant to see what it takes to get these kind of images. It is just as inspiring to see all the times when things don't work out as well as you'd like, as when they do. Too many things on UA-cam look easy, or always work out so well and you can sometimes feel like your photography just isn't good enough. To see how things go for you in an honest way is so refreshing. Great video. Keep it up!
I really appreciate your comment as I was initially unsure whether to share the struggle or just cut straight to finding the otters but wildlife photography isn't always easy and you do have to keep trying at times. I'm so glad you liked it and thank you for your comment!

Thank you. Fortunately I’ve now worked out the better way of finding them: which seems to be sitting in one spot and waiting. I’ve just had 4 days photographing a dog otter and it was wonderful 😀
