Coming out is so important for so many reasons for society to know all of the types of gay people and some are people they love and also for that person to live their truth!

Great interview. I have some questions I'd love to ask them about season 1 (haven't watched season 2 yet, of course). For one, I'd love to know how they feel about the musical tributes that have been made to Victor and Benji on youtube, some of which have millions of views. Some shots have become iconic--like the one I'll call the "Benji hair flip". Was that planned, or was it just a lucky improv shot? These two young actors both have great screen presence and interesting, meaningful, thoughtful things to say. Only 4 more days til season 2! Can't wait.
I hope they have MORE gay students (or friends from the malls) come out / get advice from Victor/Benji for coming out or just hanging around. C'mon, everyone knows there's more than just a couple of gays in every high school.

Why is there *only 10* episodes per season for this show? Most series usually have between 20-24 episodes per season. I know this is popular enough to make that many episodes and I'm pretty sure there's enough corporate advertising support *because this series is so popular.*
It is totally annoying that British actors have to immitate a US accent in order to....what precisely? Cannot he just be an exchange student? I mean, speaking about authenticity and being original, right? I just don't get it.

Such a touchy subject though. Requiring actors this young to be out of the closet to get a role isn't really the right thing to do. I think Michael was 19 when he was casted and George was 21. Public figures hardly ever feel comfortable coming out to the world at that age. They say they are straight, and I think it's tremendous to see straight men this young have such strong allyship with the LGBT community.

They legally can't ask an actors sexual orientation when auditioning. They cast solely based on performance.
