How is Rick like music to my ears and my comfort and want him to read my bedtime stories, but then his brother Skip makes me want to swallow a bullet everytime he speaks. The most yin and Yang situation ever
Bayless is always rocksolid in his formulation history, depth of knowledge as a pertains to his speciality, and it is always amazing to see him come up with the shorts that are now awesome because I enjoy the long videos and the shorts to tips from the master and to all those as well listen, learn adapt but share with your children and communicate the joy of culinary and where it came from the history that’s the fun stuff and if it taste good and if it smells good well it must be good you’re only as good as your last dish .
Thank you! Ive had to simplify so many things while cooking since i now have to cook meals for my 80 yr old gma that had a stroke. I looove garlic and flavor, but she can't. She looooves regular green salads and she can't even have those anymore because of what it does to her stomach.
The problem with the Food Network is they stopped teaching viewers how to cook and bake. That’s why viewers venture to you because we learn so much of just the simple things. Enjoy all your videos.
There’s fear that a) the microwaves (the actual waves) are bad for you and cause cancer and b) the food loses nutrients. The reality is that a) you are exposed to more microwaves using a cellphone to watch UA-cam shorts and b) any cooking method destroys nutrients and actually roasting or grilling introduces carcinogens that actually can increase cancer risk but no one is throwing out roasting and grilling.
People who don't like microwave don't don't know how to use them they revert to thinking everything should be blasted for 5 minutes even if you are reheating a chicken breast lol. Reheat with spurts people
If you don’t want to use the microwave, which I don’t, and have a perculator kettle for hot water, just pour over garlic in a bowl, cover with a plate longer the more tender and can even use the garlic infused water in your recipe if water needed…. Have been watching Chef Bayless for 15 yrs, my father was a Chef…
There's a difference between a restaurant/kitchen that uses the microwave for almost everything vs. one that plays a microwave (or two or three, depending on the number of customers) to its strengths.
I ate raw garlic with honey a couple of years ago and it messed up my stomach. I felt the dang thing making its way down into there and also felt where it was in my stomach. I love garlic, but raw ones are too much.
Reality check - if you’re working hard and you need to get dinner on the table for your kids you aren’t really thinking about garlic and how you roast it.
Thank You! When you taught me to throw garlic in a hot pan it's one of the best tips ever. I will try the microwave as well. I have learned so much from your cookbooks and shows I really want you know you are appreciated!
Would you do this with black garlic, too? I love black garlic and i love that its strong. But i also love the flavor and dont know how to tone it down just a bit?
Ill try this, but I dont really get why one cant use raw garlic almost every other food culture does lol
I chop raw garlic into small pieces with lots of chilis, and eat it with soup and rice.
I love Chef Mike! Chef Microwave that is! Go Chef Mike!
You could write a 50 paragraph diatribe about how terrible microwaves are and you still couldn’t affect Rick. He’s a Bayless.

No microwaves!
That’s a handy tip!
Why do people hate microwaves? I hate air fryers

Why the hell would someone not use a microwave?

Chef Mic is a key part of the kitchen. Not sure why people are so anti microwave
Great tip!
Cooks country has a video on microwaving and the science behind d it. Excellent and thanks for this !❤🧄
Thank you for your lovely compliment. I hope my recipe was able to help you in your cooking.

I am genuinely curious-how do you reconcile using internet devices to watch UA-cam shorts and being exposed to the microwaves associated with WiFi?
Yes man, very good idea !
True
Thisguy related to skip?

I boil it for a while and then add it to whatever I’m doing because it’s too strong for me
Chef Mic is the best! 🎉
Thanks for the advice rick
Thanks for the lesson! I really appreciate how often I'm learning something new from you!
Shout outs to chef Mike
Muchas Gracias Rick !! ❤😊

Thanks Chef!
well am a garlitarian 😂😂😂 I like the punch of garlic 😅😅😅
myself as a "garlitarian", i like a range of garlic flavors and intensities. I think you too can make use of the tip.

Thank you so much delicious gracias de verdad si comida 🥘 se ve deliciosa 🩷

Someone with the slightest bit of cooking knowledge might. And most mothers were taught the basics early , maybe your parents just can’t cook🤷🏻♀️
Reality check- not everything needs to apply to you. This is a cooking channel so of course his focus is going to be taste
Ohh I see now , you have a school age crush on Mr Bayless and this is the only way you can deal with your emotions🤣
@@jazzyfizzle0 that was the best you could come up with?

Black garlic is fermented for that exact reason. More sweet garlicy flavor. Try regular.
Wow, I never thought about this! What a great idea.
Dog food taste better than anything you make!!!
You must really love dog food
@@tonygermano8751 apparently you never ate at Rick’s restaurants his food is garbage
