Thank you both for giving us such a Marvelous impression of Queretaro! Something to really consider before settling there. You both look so peaceful and contented and come off as being honest and sincere compared to many other UA-cam videos we have seen! You guys are Trustworthy and am inclined to believe your impressions of beautiful Queretaro. Thank you both once again! You two look great together. Serge has such gentle and kind eyes. Great vlog! Very informative. Thank you for showing the different neighborhoods. This is so helpful in making a decision on where to land in Queretaro. 😊
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!
My grandma is from San Miguel de Allende and she lived in queretaro for years. She said it’s beautiful there but expensive. The area she lived in she had to sell her house due to a water shortage but she would love to move back there.
Finally!! Someone mentions Tejeda.. everyone always goes for El Refugio, Sakia and Juriquilla.. but in my Opinion Tejeda is where is at. No condominiums type of living, you feel free to come and go. I just purchased my second home in Tejeda and will never leave this area of Qro.

Well, I sent my previous message before watching all of your video. Becoming more and more acquainted with Querétaro City will make us happy! ¡Saludos! Jody (Pepe) Quillian
Mérida has so many of the same draws as Querétaro! I think the biggest differences are Querétaro is nowhere near the ocean, high altitude, more mild weather, right in the center of the draws of central Mexico (including near Mexico City). Mérida is hot and humid, greener, near the beach, cenotes, and Mayan culture. They're both fantastic options but the weather is what tips the scale for Querétaro to us.
Thank you Serg and Tana! This is great information. The more I learn about Querétaro, the more I want to come explore for retirement. Is it practical to live there without a car? Is it difficult to find a rental? Thank you!
Great video I'm in the works of moving in Zibata from Texas. According to my realtor there is a very new section to zibata. What do you guys honestly think about that area. Can you do a video more in depth about zibata?
So what is the thought in Mexico today in new home building? Are they trying to avoid the suburban sprawl of the US, and make more walkable city type suburbs? Or are they just going for the large suburbs?
Thank you for doing this video! My husband and I are moving to Queretaro from Puerto Vallarta in September. We visited Queretaro in May and knew that was the place for us, we are not sure yet of the location however this video definitely gave us some great places to check out!
There are soo many areas we didn't show in the video but are also a great place to live. Chances are, if you know what you're looking for, you'll find it!
Amazing video I’m a Mexican that what’s to live in Querétaro due to my studies. Can you do a video about the cost of living just like the one you did for Mexico City? Thank youu!
I’m 60 and I’m looking for a place to relocate with my husband. Not retire. I like working and will work remotely. My biggest draw toward Queretaro is the middle class amenities and the fact that young people like you find it interesting.
Which would you say is the more walkable city, Querétaro or Puebla? We're retirees looking for retirement options but will not own a car. We'd like to be able to buy our food in traditional local markets but appreciate having the option of supermarkets with more specialist food for occasional treats.

All of those are great options. And yes, the public transportation is fine but not as great as it can be. We were just visiting Querétaro! We'll be in Mexico City for a while:)

If we did not want to have a car, I guess we’d want to live in El Centro historico ? Would you say Mexico City cost of living is maybe 20-25% more ? Thx !
Hi! Yes, Centro histórico is very walkable although, if you do not plan on having to move around too much, other neighborhoods such as Alamos might be good too since it's central so Uber would be cheap to go anywhere and it also has most things you need within the neighborhood. Cost of living in mexico city is honestly more expensive because of rent. The rest is basically the same and there are even some things that are cheaper. Of course, there are nicer restaurants in mexico city so if you compare those to regular ones in Querétaro it'll seem more expensive.
Querétaro is a place for expats who want to remain in their comfort zone and no desire to learn Spanish. I’ve always lived throughout Mexico in areas with less expats. I will say that I stayed in Morelia Michoacán, although it was cheaper but it wasn’t safe.
Queretaro is the place where the kids of drug lords live. So the drug lords want to keep it safe and clean for their kids. Thats why its such a great city
You should visit Torreon, Coahuila. It got a bad rep years ago because of the cartels. I think it is ok to go and take a look at this beautiful big city.
I’ve done the math, you definitely need an American salary to live in these neighborhoods. Would you recommend some remote jobs? Here in California $14 an hour goes a long way in Queretaro
Easily well over 95% of residents in these neighborhoods are not foreigners so I don't think it's true that you need an American salary as hardly anyone here earns a US salary. As for remote jobs: ua-cam.com/video/dGwxTl2r1VQ/v-deo.html

There are certainly many houses with backyards that you can rent! It is a city though so you probably won't find huge yards unless they're fairly expensive.
Queretaro is a money city if you don't have a strong income I don't recommend it it expensive there it has blown up and is over price a piece of land in cumbres de Lago in juriquilla cost 50k dollar queretaro is not cheap my uncle lives in cumbres and owns a lot there and that is why I no plus all the supermarket there are expensive you go to a sam's club or Costco and it expensive everything import from the USA is high price so if you don't have a strong income and don't no how to budget I really don't recommend I make dollars and I don't even live there
Although we love Querétaro and lived there for a few years, the options that Mexico City offers in terms of walkability, a little faster paced life, vegan food, cafes, etc. It's just a more exciting place for us in this stage of our lives:)
Querétaro is the most livable city in Mexico in our opinion. Do you agree? What city in Mexico would you most want to live in?

There are many reasons to live in Querétaro and that's why there are over a million people there. Not just expats that don't speak Spanish. Cheers!
That is so not true. People here dont speak English that much compare to other bigger cities and expat towns. I have to learn spanish to survive.

Although we love Querétaro and lived there for a few years, the options that Mexico City offers in terms of walkability, a little faster paced life, vegan food, cafes, etc. It's just a more exciting place for us in this stage of our lives:)
