    I'm 45 and stopped using grease about 15 years ago and started using new products such as leave in conditioners and other forms of bottled moisturisers on my natural hair. Two years ago I went back to grease. I can honestly say my hair suffered throughout the years of NOT using hair grease. It was dry, not growing as fast and broke easily. Now back with grease my hairs growing faster, looks thicker silkier and healthier. I will never stop using hair grease again.

      I totally agree with you cause I’ve been using this hair conditioner on my hair for the last three months and I have Growed a inch each month and then I can just put this on on Monday and then it keeps my hair conditioned for about two weeks it is awesome my curls are popping and I will never go back to gel or any of these other products. It’s just about finding your routine and being consistent and loving your hair and loving yourself.

    My hair is in crochet braids and it's growing like crazy with grease. I believe people stop using grease because it weighed down relaxed hair and women wanted the shake and bounce. Oprah's hairdresser wrote a book, from what I understand and it outlined a chart and definitions from stick straight to tight coil curly. They added two more in between types to the chart since then. I think the purpose was to facilitate people in sharing hair information more effectively with all the hair diversity out there. I thought it was interesting when I just learned that today.

      The hair typing system is racist in origin. The creator basically said the only thing you can do with "Type 4" hair is relax it. The density (thin/ thick) and texture (fine/ dense) of your hair are more important than the type of curl you have.

    Really surprised how many people don’t use grease anymore! My hair care routine at least involves greasing my scalp every 3/4 days to keep moisturised and definitely aids in hair growth and keeps dry scalp away!! But twist outs with grease is the way to go just not too heavy as sometimes you feel the product and your hair feels it needs a good wash even thou you washed 2 days ago!

    • @19cinderz
      @19cinderz 4 роки тому +2

      Sashie E TV hey the only negatives I have are when the grease is too heavy or theres something in the ingredients that doesn’t agree with me!
      Also if you’ve not washed your hair in a while because of the buildup prone to breakouts. But my fave is blue magic coconut oil you don’t need to use a lot and it keeps moisturised for a few days but I also use a light hair oil for my hair ends.

    Dax is my favorite grease! I think my hair LOVES it because it's soo thick and yet soo richly oily at the same time, it's a very moisturizing sealant, it's not as petroleum heavy as other greases. I'm leery of trying the Green Dax though because it has coconut oil in the ingredients, coconut oil makes my (4C) hair crunchy and also makes my hair shed like crazy. So I use Dax Lanolin, Dax Hemp, and the Blue Dax, they are SO GOOD and they also smell so delicious, and they create the most gorgeous and shiniest two-strand twists!

    When I was growing up, grease was used on my scalp... Vaseline. My mother would wash my hair and grease my scalp. Then as I got older I used Blue Magic, Ultra Sheen, BB Super Gro, Palmer's Coconut Oil formula, and a few others. Personally, natural hair is too dry to NOT use grease, it prevents dry scalp. I stopped using grease to because I also "heard " or was told it would clog my pores. I think that's where many of us went wrong. I don't remember ever having an itchy scalp when I was using grease nor was it ever dry. Well, if using grease you have to wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo that will clean the scalp well and get rid of all product buildup. I'm putting grease back into my hair regimen

    Your hair is thick and gorgeous. Hunni use grease plz nothin wrong with it..I wash/condition, grease scalp & hair along with leave in conditioner and ❤️ it. I have all types of strands and my hair is thick, curly and long and thrive on grease if no grease my hair look like a dusty road. I’ve always used grease with perm and now natural I need it!

      Thank you so much! The grease should help to retain moisture if you use it as a sealant. 💜

    I have been using Dax for over 30 years and it works wonders and real growth in my hair. I hope you aren’t keeping that plastic cap on your hair for long.....it will rot the hair making it easy to brake.

      It felt really good. It locked in my moisture which is good for me because my hair gets dry so easily! 😩

    Beautiful Hair, Thanks for the great review. There's a reason petro based products have been around so long. They work well, are affordable and safe to use.
