I completely agree with you on that one. I started community college at age 18. However, I did not complete with my college degree until age 25. It was because I had to take courses little by little due to the move and the COVID pandemic. I was always a part time student from community college. I have been a part time student at a community college for 7 years. For right now, I am in university as a part time student. I still living with my parents. I am 26 years old. I started to be a student at university at age 25 working on my Bachelor of Arts program in Communication and Media Studies as I said before. I enjoyed community college so much. I have been to three different community colleges as I said before. It took me 6 years to complete with my Associate of Arts degree. I enjoyed watching your video because it is very helpful to me. I know that everyone has their own pace of learning and studying. Your video has very great content. During my first time at a community college, I was going to study IT major. Due to my placement test scores were very low for reading and writing, I switched my major from IT major to Business Management as my diploma. While I was Permanent Changing Station to another state, I decided to work on my Associate of Arts program in General Studies (Liberal Arts) at age 19. Back in community college, I switched my major two times in a row. Also, I switched my minor at university as well. I enjoyed college so much. Again, I enjoyed watching your videos; it really helps a lot. I am going to be working on my Master of Arts degree in Screenwriting at age 30. Hope everything is well with you. It was chatting with you again. Good luck with everything you do. God bless you and your family. 🙏❤️
I started watching my your channel back in 2019, just wanted to say thank you for all of your amazing information on community college and the transfer process in general. You provided some of the best tips and insight on the entire experience overall. I can proudly say that I was also accepted to UCLA as a transfer but I have yet to finish my degree. Regardless of my current circumstances, you were and are a major inspiration to all of us community college transfer students. Hope you’re doing great, God bless!
Yup all the talking points you stated I definitely agree. I’ll be 23 when I have the opportunity to apply for CC because I’m still in the Navy and have a deployment to push through before I transfer to the reserves. Having all that experience will definitely help me to excel in CC. Can’t wait!!
I did it. Life kept "lifing" and I almost gave up. I stayed so long to where I remember when classes cost $150 for a 3-credit class but now cost almost $600. Switched programs a couple of times before finally getting my associates degree. Now working on my bachelor's and will continue to master's. Oh, and I hate group projects too! 😂
Sometimes the journey is kinda circuitous but I'm glad to hear you were able to work it out! Your perseverance will serve you well in a master's program. I'm rooting for you 👍
Today is the first day of the term, and I am waiting here on campus to get my senior citizen tuition credit. I am 71-years-old, a retired soldier and disabled veteran. Winners never quit!
I am currently attending George Mason University with the same financial aid process. The differences between community college and a 4 year institution is you don’t get any refund back from the financial aid you received in the semester.
Hi Hailey, thanks, for sharing this video being that I am an older college student. I am currently applying for a transfer to a UC for Fall 2024. Do you have any new upcoming videos on the UC PIQ (personal insight questions) tips and advice? I know you probably did a video on this topic before. Just wondering if you may do another video to add any other advice or tips since the end of this month is the deadline for transfer students to submit their UC apps. Thank you.
Hi! I have multiple videos on PIQs that you can access by looking at the UC Application Advice playlist on my channel. The advice given in those videos still applies. I don't plan on making any new videos about PIQs but I am offering my editing service until Nov. 20th if you are interested.
@@HaileyDollarGoesToCollege Ok. Thanks, for your reply. I am in the process of answering the PIQ questions. I am thinking about using your editing service once I have completed my responses. Thank you.
Hi Hailey, I am a cc student who is applying to transfer next year. My school offers students study abroad trips and I was wondering if I should go on one? I am a anthropology major.
you might need to be 18 - you'll need to verify on the specific community college- you're not a high school graduate? you just pay international student fees
Ik some community colleges allows dual enrollment for high school students. I did a class and helped me get the credits to get through my degree faster. I know there is also a way to get an associates in highschool through cc but im not sure, you would have to research about that!
I agree! Go back to CC no matter how old you are. Transferred to Berkeley at 25!
Love to hear this success story 😀

Tecnically there's no age limit at University (or any educational institution) either
Hi Hailey any new upcoming videos? While we, those who applied to UC await for decisions.
Stay tuned!!
I went to nova community college because my high school gpa was low.
