How effective is the "ice pigging" procedure? While it appears to be a good method of scouring a water main, is it as effective for the long term as the more typical scraper method?
Just one problem its only a patch. If you do not line the pipe it will just rust and tuberculate back after cleaning. Also this does not seal joints or leaks like traditional cleaning and lining.

Nothing gets stuck it just melts.
