Blue Hawaii shows it was possible to have a good musical movie but in general Elvis deserved better films.
He wanted to be a movie star , But somehow FOR money his manager made him take his singing which he was known for and put it in film when he didn’t require musicals to make money from movies so silly
He got paid well for having so much fun.

I think this is my favorite Elvis movie. His singing is so beautiful he's funny too and makes a lot of silly faces. And then there's the beautiful Hawaiian backdrop and they show some of the traditions of Hawaii. I watch this with my family on Thursday and they loved it!

Having lived in Hawaii as a child from 1959 to 1961 (while Blue Hawaii was being filmed), this song and the movie coupled to my many wonderful experiences in Hawaii dictated to my heart that I'd eventually settle down in Hawaii. I love Hawaii. I watch Elvis in BLUE HAWAII once or twice a year. Thanks to Elvis Presley and all the people from the State of Hawaii!

Take Frank Sinatra, for example...a popular singer (no where near as good as Elvis), who wanted to be an actor. and turned out to be a better actor than he was a singer...in my opinion. Yes.
