- In this quick little video, I will show you why I think the mine ability is Bopl Battle's worst.
It has come to my attention after producing this enitre video that the mine-grapple combo has already been discovered in a Stumpt video a while ago.

if you mix grapple mine with wind you can both launch mines and grapple to a mine and launch yourself across the map
My favorite bad combo is still just using dash to create a ton of momentum with which to catapult myself as a boulder, killing all in my path, before ultimately myself as well... Which is why you also run revive and become a fully sentient weapon of bonk.
doing this with with grapple hook & grappling the other bopl is faster & almost guarantee to kill

you dont know how op mines can be, just throw a bunch of them above the map and people will forget but if they get to close to the top of the map they die, its really fun and it catches people off guard

Also use smoke bomb too and throw them around the map and hide mines in them and hope your opponent doesnt notice mine is on cooldown

I saw a team combo where one person had all smoke, although it might have been better if they had one revive, and the other had 2 smoke and the laser. They would take ten seconds to cover the map with smoke, then the laser one would jump off and shoot the smoke with the laser. A similar thing could be done with mine, as throwing a smoke lightly up, jumping, placing and mine and leaving causes the smoke to hit the mine and conceal it. Then, if someone wasn’t looking, they might not see the mine and would explode.
Also, smoke is another candidate. Again, it only pairs with certain abilities, and yes, it can counter the laser, but the abilities it does pair with are few and far between.
Agreed. I love that smoke + laser idea, I might try that out sometime. Also, I think that the smoke's uses vastly outnumber the mine's; it can be hidden behind and obscure the vision of others, too.
Finally, bopl battle content creator
Another thing about mine is that it gets easily shut down by several abilities. Bow and beam specifically destroy any combos that try to use mines and stuff like grenade, time stop, dash, rock, teleport, and more all have ways of getting around mines
Or you could do what I do Mine is one of my favourites If it’s pared with the swap ability you can Teleport a mine right next to a player

I love shotgun mine combo with 2 mines and a gust
There are two “good” mine combos, gust double mine (or single) and teleport mine (growth ray or smoke too)
As shown, growth ray makes the mine’s blast radius huge, and teleport lets you put that anywhere you want, including in your friend’s face. And gust mine, as already said in the comments, lets you launch heat seeking torpedoes across the map
I have a silly combo using mine wind blast and shrink or grow ray I shoot it at my friends from far away and they have to fear a explosive being hurled at them
I really believe you underestimate mines. They are quite a powerful territory controlling tool. Also there's the "mine+growth ray+growth ray" build which can be fun to play with for some time

Funny how this game's worst ability is still pretty great. One of my favorite combos is mine and 2 growth rays.
Yeah! Bopl has some crazy game balancing going for itself.
i have seen people but a teleport field around a mine and then run up to someone and teleport the mine to them, not the best combo but very cool and pretty effective

Bro I have a combo that makes mine broken it’s mine tp and growth ray what you do it put the mines in the cycle of the tp then make them big and you can teleport a nuke onto anyone
I've seen that combo now after making this video, definitely brings up the mine.
