Perfect poker. Don’t listen to the Lodge commentators. They have no idea. Just because there is people in Texas who like donating money to other players doesn’t mean you need to. Good stuff man.
Aaron’s right. If the cards don’t come, don’t force bluffs. Just play your style and don’t let them tilt you. Don’t donate more than your hands and common sense tell you.
It was a pleasure meeting and playing with you man! It was really nice watching this back, I don’t really know what I was doing with the K7 hand in retrospect 😂. Can’t wait to hang out a again!
Haha yeah I mean it's not in standard construction but I can think of many worse ways to play the hand haha. I've made plenty of worse mistakes before and since. Great meeting and hanging with you man, and thanks for all the rides ha!
Your video cut before you could say how much you were out for, Matt. I rewound through the statistics portion of the video and it said you were up about 4500. That right? If so you have a free-roll at 1/3 and possibly one at 2/5.
This session for me was one of my worst, but looking back through my hands I don't think I played bad. I had some pretty bad run-outs and spots that were unavoidable (i.e. AK
Watching back through the whole stream I thought you played great overall tbh. Just a good example of how good play can lead to a sick win (with my luck) or a bad loss (with yours).
Hey Matt, I've been a huge fan of the Vlog since 2016/17. I used to play at Portland Downs and briefly met you there and thats how i learned you were a vlogger. You gave me some killer advise that day, thanks. If your living in Austin now I'd love to invited you to float/kayak down the Guadalupe River time I go visit my kids in Spring Brach tx (about 60 miles away). I may not be down there for a while but when i get down there i hope to link up. After we can go play in San Antonio were the action is equally good. Thank for continuing the vlog and sharing your knowledge.
After seeing all the vlogs in Texas I realize they never 3 bet pre and just try to go super aggro post. Which is very easy to play against and probably why I’ve seen you, Brad, Johnny, and Andrew just make huge wins in Texas
Jeez Matt, how bout a color up? I'm always afraid those big stacks are gonna get knocked over. Nice session it was fun to watch live especially the Army reunion.
I'm trying to understand what you said during the 1010 v 99 v kh7h hand. When action was to 99 you said it was a tough spot for him since you called behind. It's extremely likely with QQ-AA you are raising pre so the only hands he should really be concerned about are 1010 and JJ. That's a very small percentage of hands you may overcall in that spot with especially with your stack size no?
3bet cold call ranges and in particular cold OVER calling 3bets tend to be very condensed toward those pairs 88-JJ imo, followed by some like AK/AQ (which will never continue) and so those hands he has to worry about in my range are a reasonable fraction. Doesn't mean "always," but given he has to contend with the 3bettor's range as well, it's not a comfortable spot. It's reasonably different if I'm not behind him with a decent density of those hands that beat him. Just because I overcall few hands doesn't mean I rarely have TT-JJ. Because once I HAVE overcalled, those hands are actually pretty significant in my overall range.
I like The Lodge’s streams, but the commentators have worn thin on me re: calling players out for playing snug. You don’t have to start deviating and punting just for the stream. They’ll spend considerable time roasting someone who’s just card dead for a low VPIP.
5:11 Did you think about checking KK on the turn here? Seems like that would allow you to represent a hand like Ax that c-bet then gave up. If you check both here and on the river you could get him to value bet thin / maybe bluff. Seems like a good candidate to do it with since he barely has any Kx left.
Yeah honestly it's just the very first hand of the day and I'm settling in at that point so I agree checking turn is totally fine. Checking flop would also be fine OOP as well but I think I actually just like an even smaller bet potentially since I wouldn't probably check any bluffs.
Interesting... I honestly didn't even think of that in the moment because it was so clearly a reaction to me pre-tipping the dealer. But I guess it's a weird angle opportunity in Texas. Def not what he was going for but still interesting.
24:03. This show the table up approximately 6k with you up 4k but only two players are losing less than 2k total. Did other players get stacked and leave?
I was messing around with youtbe's trimming options and now I can't change it back lol. Basically it's a hack to try to improve audience retention by cutting out parts at the end or beginning where people don't watch as much.
I absolutely love that this is the first comment on this video since no fewer than 1,000 people asked me this while I was racking up after the livestream.
I don't know which hand you're referring to, but in a lot of instances I don't need that information that badly and I'd rather speed the game up and not embarrass weaker players.
Pre tipping the dealer is the greatest thing ever. Will definitely add to my bluffs
Does anyone have a schedule when Bugatti plays next and what airlines fly into Round Rock?
Your hand analysis and your in game thinking is spot on! Very impressive! 👌🏼👌🏼

Killer vlog player. First time caller long time listener. You’ve gotten a lot better at the vlogs, and poker obviously. This was a good one. 👍
Thank you! These kinds of comments make my day.
Just found your stream and really enjoyed your commentary and gameplay! Keep it up!
thanks for pointing out the reunion - that was a nice moment

The Lodge commentators are "Whisker Bisquits"
This IS good. Reminds me ur voice from back then. Like 2 3 yrs ago. Keep it up !!!
Not voice, vlog. That was stupid auto correct.
Wow Bugatti is your new best friend. Just paid your bills for a few months 😂
Or helpful make your trip easier to play since he gave to your bankroll.

Yeah it did end up being about a 4.5k win.
of all the vloggers that have been on The Lodge I knew you and Mariano would be able to adjust and dominate the livestream game
Thanks man - much appreciated!

I wish games were this juicy in Cincinnati. The amount of action in this game is insane. Also, the meta seems to be a 1k 1-3. 😳

Hey Anthony, thanks so much man! I actually live in Vegas, was just traveling to Austin for meetup games and the streams.
Economists adjust for inflation. A defense adjusts for mobile quarterbacks; Matt adjusts river calls for Texas.

Talented guy singing dancing in the moonlight
Soon as we heard him start playing I was like I have to get this guy some exposure. Give him some love!
Gotta love that Nemo shipping $800 with 2% equity

It’s great there was that reunion. In these COVID-19 times we need warm moments like that.
Matt, still eagerly anticipating the reunion between you and your biological father Erik Seidel. Hope it makes the vlog!
lmaoooo been a while since someone made that joke - you just made it into a tweet my friend!
@@MattVaughan yes!
LOL....I have to show the boys these glasses....Keep going Matt
Hahahah man they are so good for nighttime. Blue blocking is the way. They look silly but I wear them every night now.
Go Matt go!

the commentators and players at the lodge are just about the worst you will see on youtube poker

Winning in Texas is awesome but no easy feat. They bluff and call extremely light. I'm glad you ran good!!!
Love the queen 10 call.. not a snap call
Awesome win
Bugatti now goes by 'Volkswagen'...that's how much 💰 MV won from him.
I don’t wanna go back and downgrade him to “horse cart.”
Couldn’t that dealer tip chip flip could have been considered a call😳

Bluffier? I’m using it!

Yes late in this video is fairly deep into the livestream. Big Daddy D got stacked a couple times and left.
‘In hand’ ‘release’ ‘follow suit’ etc…wonder where you got all this new speech from
6.24... all I do is win win win no matter what!
PS I love how you slam down the cards like “yeah I called you ship it baby” lol
I like my opponents to know what hit them.
My last session before Covid I did this we casino Niagara starting at $200 stack in about 18 hour session
A lot different and harder when I start with $200 compared to $1000
Am I missing a joke at the end? Why didn't you say what you were out for lol??

You call and show? Yes I want to know what people are playing with so why would you call in show? You call to make other people show their hand

Why is everybody wearing a damn mask again?
Why u think genius?
I'm VERY far behind on vlogs. This is from May.
