I think the thing that makes this song particularly well done is the fact that he kept in the thick grunge guitar, it's such a signature sound to the era. So he managed to keep the feel, and definitely pay homage to Kurt in my opinion.
I don't know. Ayron jones, Bring Me the Horizon, Post Malone, Imagine Dragons, hell, even Sailor Twit and Advil Lasagna can throw out more of a hoarse "grunge rock" energy than this...
