Important to note these do not zero with any specific click value. It's just a screw you turn. Other optics have individual 1 MOA or 0.5 MOA click values to zero.
@@nomad155I have a RFX25 and they hold zero very well. Very small turns of the screws and it responds well. It’s not as big of an issue as I thought when I first found this out. Fantastic optics IMO for the price
Nope ...not when I can get a Holosun with a side mount battery, or basically the same money. No one should still be making you remove your optic just to change a battery.
They do it because... The technology is better and batteries last longer now. It is a bigger battery than the side load ones. Adding a tray makes the unit thicker and less cowitness. This is the main reason for the bigger battery and no tray When puking and zeroing it literally takes a couple minutes and very little change. The smaller battery is not as common and harder to find than the 2032. There are good valid reasons for putting the battery on the bottom and not having a tray.
My question is are they really worth the money for an actual gun fight which would usually occur at close range. My opinion is they would be good at the shooting range or if you would be engaged in a long range shoot out. Still thinking about installing one on my EDC Glock 26 though.
I've been wondering this for years, why don't manufacture's make more green optics? Green stuff always sells better than red, seems like a no-brainer move.
I’m from Ohio. In spring and summer, everything is green. In winter, everything is white. Green doesn’t contrast well against green or white. Red is the way to go.
@@roul3688 The high vis green laser dot is easier to see than red against an outdoor green background, especially if you have an astigmatism. I live in the South and things are green year-round. I recently tested both colors in multiple outdoor situations and bought the green.

Salesman at my local gun shop said some people feel like a laser can give away their position, which they feel is a no-go. I have a green laser on my .380 Bersa.
I agree. Laser is way faster! Red dot takes a lot of practice. They are cool but I don’t like em on a carry weapon. The people saying it gives your location away, what a joke! Don’t you think the flash from your weapon gives away your location? Ha If your weapon is getting pulled out then it better be faster than the enemies! To each his own. I do like the concept though.
Hey Lenny, you said that the RFX35 takes a 2025 battery, but when you were showing its underside, it said “2032.”. Just saying. Thanks for ALL your informative content!!
No it isn't. Most are on bottom because of technology and the downfalls of building a small optic that will cowitness with a battery tray. This is the norm. It's not a big deal to pull and change every 2 or 3 years. There is a reason they aren't doing it.
As a hunter that puts equipment through harsh conditions in the mountains, this looks like it could be easily damaged and the sun would light the glass up: making it harder to see the target.
Battery on bottom. Doesn’t that mean you have to remove the optic to change battery? That seems like a non-starter. The first time i mounted a red dot with locktite, it came off. Remounting isn’t something i want to do.
@@jonathans1472 Honestly I did! I had a shield plus with shield arms. All co witness! But the dot didn’t raise any higher than 1/3 height of the glass! It was hard for me to pick up fast. At least I could find the Trijicon HD sights then the dot was there. Now I feel I would want a middle dot sight picture. But then that changes my sights to a suppressor height. And that changes the concealability in my mind. I want a quick draw with no obstructions. Guess it would be good with different holsters. But for me I carry deep IWB with a cheap Barsony holster which actually “locks” gun into holster with the Trijicons. Haha. I’m too picky and dont like change.
The tooling marks in that Optics cut are terrible I hope that is mid production and still has some polishing to go. Also I don't know if the customers would want their slide serial numbers out on youtube. Otherwise this is pretty cool and that's a very great time frame for service as long as things aren't rushed.
Bought a Holosun 507k and the battery died in less than 4 months. Pick up my carry backup and look for the dot, none there, shake awake, nothing. Changed battery and it's fine. I am not believing the 5 year battery life story any longer and now I feel it's unreliable for a carry weapon. Looking for a replacement.

Lenny, you're the best. Thanks for making shooting fun again.
Good seeing you again Lenny, I am a huge supporter of Holosun, Trijicon and Olight, Viridian makes lots of quality sights. Happy New Year to you all!

Thanks again Lenny another great option.... Happy New Year to you and everyone at the Glock Store

good to see more choices! swimming in green!

I just got the 35 fir my Glock 35. My first optic. The Glock 35 was the MOS model. It's different but fun so far.
Have the rfx35 on my mp5. No, it doesnt have "click" adjustments but that isnt a deal breaker for me. Holds zero at close to 1k rounds now.

I hard to buy one. When they almost cost as much as a new gun.
Usually doesn't mean always. Your iron sights are useless at the typical gun fight range too. Might as well take those off of your pistol too.

Remove optic to replace the battery then spend time & money at the range resetting sights in.
Why do so many gun & accessory reviews use a black or dark background with products that are black? I can barely see any details.

Do these green dots require a sealing plate under it?
Any of them fit a Delta Point Pro cut?
Green is dominant , your eye will go to that safety green before any other color, it excites the rods and cones more than any color in the human eye.

Question. Do these Optics stick out if you have mos version or if it's just the cutout version ??
