This 72mk2 unit was temporarily borrowed from the Bakerloo line to cover the TRT, which had faults with the recording equipment and went off for repairs. It could and can operate on the Piccadilly line during daytime service hours as it is fully compatible with the signalling system. But on the Jubilee and Northen lines, where it had previously served, it is restricted to nightime engineering hours as they now changed to automatic train operation and the 1995 and 1996 stocks must not be running at the same time as it not compatible with the ATO system.

The 1972 tube stock train on the Bakerloo line goes on the baker street tunnels then it goes on the jubilee line tracks then on the metropolitan line down to Rayners Lane then reverses and goes on the Piccadilly line
@zitzong this 72mk2 was temporarily covering for the 1960 Track recording train as it had faults with the recording equipment and went off for repairs. It was borrowed from the Bakerloo line

Yes that is correct
This is technically the only other line on the entire LU network that a 72 stock can run without the need of full line possession.
