imo the expressions are very good, but the lips seem off. maybe it's just that the mouth is much wider than yours, so when the sides of the mouth come together, it is less relative movement overall. Or maybe it's that the tongue isn't animated. Still very impressive. and I suppose there are settings like the pucker lips which might improve things. Thanks for the videos on this topic. I've been considering getting iclone mainly for this feature, so it's nice to get an idea of it's abilities and limitations
pretty good match. that last smile is pretty good captured! So theoretical you can put hair on either those heads?! Let me vote for an AfroBob video... the new hair system is pretty cool to work with. Physical simulation of hair not so much but idk, I'd use shapekeys or so... :)
Legal, eu estou justamente tentando criar meu proprio detector de movimento usando python para depois enviar para o Blender. Depois vou da uma olhada nesse! Thanks!
Love the side by side, very helpful! I have a project I'm trying to figure out. The characters are fish, and I'm trying to figure out a convenient lip-sync option. If I created a fish with custom blend shapes with the same names as a CC character, could I just copy the morph animation like you did in this video? Or would something like drivers or hooks be a better choice? Appreciate all you do and can't wait for tiki!
Dear Blender Bob, is there a movie, video, online lecture about the history of 3d, (milestones and such) in the vfx history that you know of???? It doesn't matter if its a old one from 2003 or something. It would be soooo cool to know, hear, see what people had to work with, how they solved problems, modern problems even ect. Digital painting included. Sorry to bother you with this but you are the only older gentleman with enough time invested in this art that I know existat that I could ask.
@@BlenderBob It's usually only snippets of a few seconds to a minute here and there. But nothing coherent. Maybe there rest somehwere, in some library a old dvd or vhs with some more footage. There is some longer demo footage of 90's versions of studio max(kinetic, kiunetix). But it's really not very much in general. Thanks for your message though.
@@BlenderBob The previous one also didn’t show what was on the thumbnail. Stop with the clickbait. When you see the thumbnail, you expect to see the character from Tiki.
Great to see you use iClone 8 Blender Bob !
I have been doing some tests also like you... and I have to agree... live link seems to be much more predictable.. this is nice test btw.. quite long

Thanks. You can copy the animation. It will work.
@@BlenderBob you're these best, seriously!
Thanks! Looks great

Don’t know but I’m sure if you check history of CG or VFX you will find a lot of

Clickbait thumbnail again
It’s not a click bait. It’s a mn addendum to add precision to the previous one.

Ah! I see what you mean. Ok, won’t do it again.
