Dr. Jaquish has thoroughly tried and tested his system before putting it out there for sale. Though I do wish there was a way to do some moderate adjustments it does work. I applaud your efforts in making something yourself and I have a few ideas as to how to make your homemade system actually work. But I'm sure that if you are persistent you will figure it out sooner or later.

Wow what's up with these other commentors. This is exactly the info I was looking for. This is a nice sturdy setup. I'm going to see if I can just get some 90deg elbows and a 1" thread eyebolt but if not this is a great way to go. Cheers

I can see making a DYI for deadlift, maybe squats, but for overhead press, why not just get some dumbbells?

I do have dumbells, however I wanted to stick as close as possible to the X3 workout that is on the X3 website. Thanks

Yes it is, I purchased it for dips, then coverted it to use for bands.

4:42 what are these straps called? Soft something or other? I got most my bar complete. The Home Depot here in Canada doesn't sell cold shuts or quick links large enough either. Going to hit up a fastener store tomorrow.

Soft loop tie down straps, Amazon has a pack of 8 for $10. I never did get a smaller bar.
