I am a 66 years old elder who's living with a very painful spinal stroke since 2005, and my conditions are gradually worsening... and I find myself constantly thinking about "life after death". I overstand the teachings of Buddha, and the 8-fold path, and other theories of spirituality on this topic. I've watched the movie, "What Dreams May Come", many years before having my stroke, which I very much loved and appreciated it, for it has truly given me a sense of peace in this part of my earthly journey. Thanks for creating the movie. MUCH LOVE!!!! 💯♥️
What dreams may come gave me great comfort when I lost my husband 1998 to cancer he was 46.. And I know he is waiting for me living his dream in our Waltons style home(that he wants to build from scatch as in this life he was a carpenter) with all our passed animals and I know WE WILL BE TOGETHER ONE DAY IM 70 NOW so it won't be that long 💔🌈💕🐎🐶🐈🐐
I love this. I saw the movie somewhere in time as a teenager and it really stuck with me. At that time of course, I had not yet begun my spiritual path. I am now 56 and have been on this path for about 25 years. I had a very spiritual experience in 2018 while working with a Shaman and plant medicine. It has changed the way I look at every aspect of my life and I am so grateful for that experience. I am also grateful for this youtube channel which I have only recently discovered. Thank you both for the work you do!
I was a projectionist when Somewhere in Time was released. Great film beautiful soundtrack. I also totally enjoyed What Dreams May Come. I to this day still have a copy of both films on VHS. I'll definitely checkout the book.
I have this book, I will find it and finish it. Also, Richard Matheson was quite an author, I love his writing. (The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, I picked that up when I was 18, that's a sweet story)I've been to an Alison Debois book signing, she is a lovely person. Now I need to make sure I finish watching this interview,I get distracted a lot. The thunder and lightening story is interesting. Thank you for sharing.
After my husband died, I was one day sitting with my grief and I suddenly had this realisation that in order to have the experience of feeling grief, I had to go through everything that I had and I had this incredible gratitude towards the Universe for allowing me to feel this. Then for the next few days the feeling of joy took over and I couldn’t possibly imagine how one could be sad in this world. It was true bliss until a friend of mine kept asking, ‘are you happy?’ The question at the time felt so silly and I could not imagine how I could be anything but happy. Then as I started judging the question in the next few days, I went back to my regular self but it was quite an experience. The way I see it now, is that if one say was a billionaire and say wanted to experience being something other that a billionaire, say a cleaner, or live with a tribe in some remote part of the world, they could have the experience knowing that it is just an experience they wanted to have knowing that they could go back to their comfortable life any time they wanted to. Now if they were to say, fall and suffer from amnesia while they’re having this experience, instead of joy, they now may suffer thinking they’re stuck. So this life seems to be similar to that giving us the experiences we want to have. What a loving Universe.
Wonderful interview with such a spiritual man! "What Dreams May Come" was a great spiritual experience for me and brought to life the teachings of my own Faith, Baha'i, which describes the world to come in a way much like the movie. The world to come has similarities to this physical world, but as mentioned, we don't have the language or experience to understand it. Baha'u'llah, the Prophet of the Baha'i Faith, teaches that the next world is as different from this world as this world is different from the world of the womb. The baby in the womb doesn't have the language or experiences to appreciate what he/she will be born into, but imagine how his/her world is expanded by being born into the physical universe, even though the womb is nestled within this physical world. In the womb world our physical bodies grow the organs and limbs to enable us to experience the growth of this world, and in this world we grow spiritual "organs" such as learning to love, developing compassion, mercy, gaining knowledge, etc. so that we can grow in the next world. So this physical world is also nestled within an infinitely larger spiritual reality even if we don't realize it. And Baha'u'llah agrees with you that on the other side we gravitate towards souls with common spiritual development, interests or goals, so that somehow there are communities of like-minded souls who feel comfortable being together. And anything living, even souls, is progressing and changing. This means that the next world provides for the growth of souls forever, that the worlds become infinite in number just as growth is infinite. Here is an example of Baha'u'llah's beautiful, poetical way of expressing the immortality of the soul: 14O SON OF MAN! Thou art My dominion and My dominion perisheth not; wherefore fearest thou thy perishing? Thou art My light and My light shall never be extinguished; why dost thou dread extinction? Thou art My glory and My glory fadeth not; thou art My robe and My robe shall never be outworn. Abide then in thy love for Me, that thou mayest find Me in the realm of glory.
Somewhere in Time is my favourite film of all time. Goosebumps with the story behind how Stephen got Chris as the lead male actor. Wow! Just wow! Such a humble and kind person. You’re all are! Thank you!
HA. I'm a medium, and most of the time when I connect with people in spirit I yawn uncontrollably, and I know it's "them" kind of stretching me/my energy; never heard anyone else talk about. Neat!
Wow what a treat to hear Stephens stories from Stephen himself! I fell in love with “what Dreams may come” when it was first released. And it happened to be the last movie my mother and I watched together before she passed away in November 2019. I love this on so many levels
Somewhere In Time I watched in Junior High probably like more than 10 times. completely hinged on that movie as a kid. It was part of my religion as a kid. I tried to travel like that many times. later in early 20's had an OBE STE that scores 80 out of 80 on NDE-C scale. there are many dots to connect with all of our lives, souls, and psyche's... Robin Williams screaming my name out loud, from across the street, numerous times saying good by "my name" multiple times last time I ever saw him... love... respect intuition of... you are... we are... this video is... soul... spirit... you're amazing... love and respect you Sandra.
I have loved both What Dreams May Come & Somewhere in Time forever. Had no idea the same producer was connected to both. Also interesting that Chris Reeves & Robin Williams were roommates & great friends. Looking forward to picking up the book.
Oh my gosh what a great interview. It scares me however that I too have a heart arrhythmia and wish he would’ve gone into detail about it because I’ve always heard and still hear that you can’t die of this. :(
I really love What Dreams May Come , seen it several times, ever disappoint me , but I do not believe in Hell or Purgatory, I believe that souls who have gone through a violent life, committed acts of violence or suicide go to a kind of recovery introspection place where they can learn something from their life experience and decide if or how to come back and work on those unfinished business. Hell is what we make here on Earth….The other plane of existence is all pure love and acceptance, no judgement!
When Voltaire on his deathbed was asked by the priest : Sir, do you think God will forgive you?, he is said to have answered: I guess he will! After all, its his job, isnt it?
One of the most beautiful movies I've seen.. ❤️
I love his stories and his sense of humor. I've just ordered the book. Thank you so much for the lovely interview.
Wonderful! So glad you enjoy it.

Fantastic interview, I just love his movies! The link to conversations with God doesn't work.
🙏🙏🙏😘🙏🙏🙏
What is the name of his book
Watch out this is very sentimental. It may not be real. The film.
