Dear Sir, In the previous example of circuit transformation in qdo frame, we found that q axis and d axis inductances stay the same(Ls-Lm). But in this case, we are seeing that Lq and Ld might be different. Is it due to the effect of rotor flux linkage on stator windings? In the previous example, we just did a simple circuit transformation, without considering rotor flux linkage. But in this case, we are considering rotor flux like an actual PMSM.
This is because of the saliency effect. See this video ua-cam.com/video/jZvOLq7G0Tc/v-deo.html I mention this around minute 16. Essentially your inductance matrix is not diagonal in the salient case.
Hello Sir, the series of lectures are just amazing. Thank you, could you share some material related to the Tem derivation based on stator variables, as mention at 39:00
i saw a large 1.8MW diesel generator and it's rotor consist of permanent magnet. is it new trend sir? i also heard that, new EV after 2018 also trend to the PMSM.
As I Mechanical Engineer, The content and Explanation is very Good for Motor Learners!
Keep up!
Thank you Manohar!
thank you very much for the explanation!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you
You're welcome

Welcome
Very good sir
Thanks and welcome
Great explanations. Do this concept and equations also apply for an axial flux PMSM?
From a lump system model, yes. Because you have the same principle of operation, and components. Stator field and rotor field.
Dear Sir, in the case of delta connection, the analysis and equations are still the same ?
Hi Tianhong, I haven't studied Delta connected windings in much detail. So I may have to think about this little more.

Hello, The stator variable equation can be found on the textbook, "Analysis of Electric Machines" by Paul C Krause. It is in the BLDC chapter.

PMSMs are becoming more and more popular for sure. EVs have been using them for a while though.
How to do complete Advanced class?
Not clear on what you are asking?
Hi Sir,
Great videos, currently helping me do my final year project, is there any way I can get in touch with you maybe through email or LinkedIn ?
you can email me at ecesandun@gmail.com
thank you sir
Most welcome
