- Matt is on a field goose hunt with Tyler, Benjamin, and Joshua. They start setting up a decent-sized snow and Canada goose spread and are cut short as snow geese show up early and immediately start decoying in. A heavy wind helped push both snow and Canada geese down and the four of them picked away throughout the morning. It was an amazing morning of singles diving in, big snow goose spins, and the occasional dark goose cupping in. Hard to beat a goose hunt like this!

Awesome footage! I used to get so frustrated with my 1st 12 ga. a Win 1400 fail to feed in cold weather. Sold it and bought a Rem 870 and never regretted having it on my shoulder. My cardinal rule: don't set up facing into the sun.

Multiple times in your shot cam footage I seen feathers fly off but the bird didn’t fall, what shells were you shooting?

@@HighPrairieSportsmen yeah it definitely showed. I like the hunt a lot. I like watching birds work. I think snow goose hunting would be a lot of fun cuz she really have to work something for a while. Hopefully someday I get topportunity to do it
I love my versamax.. but I have had issues with it in the cold. Pretty much have to run straight WD40 or no oil at all whenever it gets into the single digits
Yeah, too much oil. Stripped it down after the hunt
i'm not a steel fan, that's why i'm reloading bismuth and tss shot this summer

You might want to find diffrent ammo to shoot and maybe a diffrent choke, by the slow mo shots you wernt getting enough good patterns on target.
Yeah, switched up both shortly after and had better results, especially during conservation season
