There's a polaroid picture somewhere out there of me on the beach with her from that day, not sure what happened to the photo. The video brings it all full circle for me, being back on that beach, but alone now.

Heartbreak, breakups, and loss are hell! This song does a great job of showing that, in such a loving and soft way. When my husband and I split, our son was just two. I loved "us" so much. I loved us being a family, but together we were miserable. I always tried to remember that and make the three of us as happy as I could separately. Working hard at co-parenting as a team and putting our son first, helped us to raise a healthy, happy, adult without all the trauma. Life is hard and messy, you have to take the good with the bad and do your best to find your own way to be as happy as possible in all things.
