- I crocheted every morning for 30 days and it changed my life. Creating a morning routine that includes crochet has made my life so much better in many different ways. #crochet
In the hustle and bustle of our modern lives, it's often challenging to find moments of calm and creativity. We all need an escape from the daily grind, a way to relax and engage our minds in a peaceful, fulfilling activity.
For me, that escape came in the form of crocheting. What began as a simple experiment turned into a life-changing journey. In this blog post, I'll share how crocheting every morning for 30 days transformed my life.

I'm a combo crocheter....but then, my project for this year was to make a blanket for every one in our families for Christmas. I made 11 blankets. My goal was to be finished by Halloween so that the holidays would be free of the stress of finishing up the last one on Christmas eve, LOL. I'm happy to report that I completed the last one 3 weeks early, so yes, I was crocheting every spare moment outside of my full time job. And I'm so happy that I did. As I was finishing that project, work announced that we'd have a charity event for our local homeless shelter for the holidays. I was able to make 9 hats for that collection that was picked up last Tuesday. I'm tickled pink to know those recipients will be kept a little warmer just as our winter weather is beginning (It snowed on Halloween here in Michigan). I can attest to the creativity and productivity being higher in the morning for me, too, as compared to the evenings, after my brain has been hard at work all day.
Bravo You!
When I grow up (I’m only 64 😉) I want to be just like you, without the full time job. 🙂
Wow!!!! Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
I am a morning person, usually up anywhere between 4 and 6 AM. Our 2 dogs are the first thing on the agenda and then I get to enjoy my time of uninterrupted stitching until around 9:30 AM, when my husband gets up (we are retired :). I completely agree with you that the art of knitting or crocheting, or any stitching really, is meditative and even healing. I think its effects are probably on the same level as praying. Thank you so much for your infectiously enthusiastic and informative videos! 🌹
Wow!! I wish I was up that early! Right now I can't seem to get up any earlier than around 6:30. Thanks so much for sharing your routine! 🧶🧶🧶
I am retired so I’m in my happy place all day. I knit, crochet and machine embroider any time during the day. But you are so right, I have so much more clarity in the morning. Thanks for these wonderful videos, they are very inspiring.
Thank you! I was so surprised about feeling so mentally clear in the morning! 🧶☕️❤️☀️
Exactly the same here! I can finally do whatever craft I want any time of the day I want! I am so grateful for all of the wonderful patterns out there that make creating so much fun!
I was fortunate enough to “retire” at the age of 50 and I must say I do not regret it, Every day is Saturday and I can enjoy crochet any time of the day!
Me too.
Me too have all day.. and lately I'm on a roll. 🎉
I'm a combination of all 3...I crochet or knit in the morning, afternoon, and evening, with breaks here and there. I'm an empty nester and have always been a stay-at-home mom. I also deal with anxiety, and crafting helps to calm me! ❤
Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
This is so inspiring Elise! I'm so happy you've been able to increase your productivity, because THAT MOUSE!!! OMG, she is so precious! You did a fabulous job on her! I love every single minute of this video.
Thank you soooo much! My plan is for the mouse video and tutorial to be ready by next Saturday! 🧶❤️☕️☀️🐭
This is such a timely video for me! I started a full-time job last week after being home for 4 years, and at 53, I'm just too tired in the late evening now to crochet. I'm still working on my new morning and evening routines, so I'm gonna give this a try. Thank you.
Congratulations on the new job! And it sounds like crocheting in the morning will be a great time for you! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
I'm almost 53! I haven't worked for two years can't find a job or One that isn't gonna hurt my ailments more.. considering school but I'm enjoying crochet at the moment.. good luck in your job
I’ve been dying to crochet or knit the minute I wake up, and idk why I didn’t think it was an activity I could do in the mornings. I can definitely see it helping me the way it helps you! What a no brained 😅
It's been great to be able to do it in the morning!! 🧶🧶☀️
I crochet right after lunch after my husband goes back to work. I give myself an hour, from 1 to 2 and then I’m ready to get busy again with my chores! Great video, interesting!
Thank you for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
I'm the same way about my bed, lol. There's just something peaceful about crawling into a nice made up bed at night!
Yes!!! It feels wrong to me to get into an unmade bed! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
As a budding crochet designer, I can easily see how helpful this could be Elise! thank you 🙏🫶🥰🧶
It's sooo helpful!! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
I can crochet all day and have done so my whole life.
I had three big blanket wips going for several years and wanted to finish them. In 2023 I decided to dedicate the first 30 minutes of crafting I do on that day (typically in the morning) on on of the blankets. When it was done I took the next blanket. I was shocked how much progress I made.
I calculated that I need the entire year to finish all three projects but I was done by June.
It was amazing!
Isn't the human brain amazing! Just a small tweek in our routine can have such an impact. I've always been a morning person but due to my work schedule I can't really get any crochet time in until the evening but what I'd like to do is experiment with this concept on the weekends and see if I get similar results. Your new little mouse is adorable!
It really is!! Switching up my morning routine was truly eye opening! I hope your experiment goes well! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
I crochet every evening. I'm not a morning person. 2 days a week, I commute and get up before 5 am. So I knit every evening. I never miss a day. Oh, and yes I knit and crochet 😉
I also do that ur not the only one Elise!! When I am rushing I don’t make my bed and then at night, right when i’m going to bed I make it and I get into bed and I don’t want to ruin it, but when I fall asleep I pull my blanket everywhere!!
POV my blanket: on the ground 💀💀
Haha!! Thanks for sharing! Glad I'm not the only one! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
I'm an afternoon/evening crocheted - I absolutely love crocheting. It is my heart's passion .
It really is wonderful! 🧶🧶🧶
I love your channel! I work at night, so my " morning" is at night when I get up for work. I get to work about 45 minutes before I need to be there so that I can crochet or knit before I punch in. I also use both of my breaks at work to crochet or knit...When I get home from work, I do a little more and then get to my housework...I'm usually in bed by 3 in the afternoon, but I get about 30 minutes of crafting while watching a youtube video before sleep....thank you for all you do...❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
Thanks to your wonderful videos, I’ve now got back into crocheting that has given me peace of mind and a great deal of happiness.
That's wonderful! 🧶🧶🧶
I crochet at work. I work tech support overnight and it helps me stay up.
That's great!!! I'm so glad you're able to crochet during that time! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
I'm disabled, so retirement a few years early. I get up at least by 8. Do things around the house. I try to stitch by 9, but if not, I do a small project in the TV room as I watch my soaps. Then maybe off and on during the day. By evening I will pull out a c2c graphgan or a bitter project and try to crochet for several hours. If my hands are tired or I can't focus, I will roll up bobbins of yarn or plan out my next project and get it ready.
Thank you so much for sharing your crochet routine! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
I had to laugh when you were describing making your bed...I thought I was the only person that made their bed before getting in to it at night, if it had gone undone all day. 🤣 I had also added 30 minutes to my morning routine recently - I had challenged myself to include 30 minutes each of bible study, reading for pleasure, a walk and crocheting. Self discipline has always been a struggle for me, I could get everything done that was needed but there was not much joy or fun while I did it. After 2 months of this I find that I have less stress and my creativity is back. Crocheting has always given me joy and crocheting everyday makes my heart sing. Thank you for your inspirational talks.💕
Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
Lol... and i thought I was the only person that woke up to craft ;) I have been a single mom for many years. And one of the best things about that for me is being able to simply wake up and reach for my knitting that I keep right next to my bed and knit EVERY SINGLE MORNING and not worrying about waking anyone up! I am still working in the corporate world. But I still set my alarm early enough (5:15 AM 😮!) every day so I do have a few minutes to knit before getting ready for the work day because it DOES help my stress and sense of accomplishment for the rest of the day.
I am so glad that it works for you too. Thank you for sharing this with everyone. I am truly a believer in this!!!
That's so wonderful!! Thank you so much for sharing! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
First I had to laugh out loud when you said you can’t get into an unmade bed! I thought I was the only one 🤣. I love to crochet when I can. I’m retired so it’s my therapy to pick up my yarn and hooks as I sip a cuppa🫖☕️❤
Wonderful! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
I can't get into an unmade bed either. I have to make my bed up before I can sleep in it. Thanks for letting me know that I am not alone.😅
WOW Elise! What a tremendous and inspiring video! As a lifelong artist, a 50+ year knitter, and a crocheter for just one year, I agree that our brains are most creative in the morning! It is also wonderful to have a creative incentive to get out of bed in the morning!!! Thank you for sharing this fabulous experience!!!
Thanks so much, Michele! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! ❤️
Sounds good. I need a routine. I have chaos here in the Carolina mountains
I'm so enjoying crocheting in the morning! ☀️❤️🧶
I am way productive at night. Always have. But I enjoy crocheting at all times! The more the better! I haven’t been doing any crochet this week (was making a quilt top) and I feel a need to go back to it very soon ❤
Thank you so much for sharing! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
I need to take medicine first thing in the morning. That part is easy, but then I have to wait about an hour before eating. I usually have things to do but I noticed (repeatedly) that it was hard to wait. I became quite stress waiting the hour out --cheated often -- which affected the rest of my day. I found by working on knit or crochet, the hour flew by. So, I do a few other things, in the morning, and then pick-up my project...it is about 30min of crochet or knit. I agree, it has improved my day.
That is wonderful! I'm so glad you've found a way to make that time in the morning pass quickly! ❤️🧶☕️☀️
That mouse is too cute. Since I work full time I cant really crochet in the mornings, but I sometimes will bring a project to work with me and work on it during my lunch break. Then when I get home I take a min and then get back into doing some other projects. On my days off I definitely crochet in the morning, once I let the dog out, feed the pets, make a tea or a coffee, then sit down and have a nice morning session. If the weather is bad out I will pretty much stay inside all day and crochet, taking little breaks and just being all cozy.
Thanks for sharing! ☀️🧶❤️
On the weekends, I'm a "crochet any time of day I dang well please" crocheter. I'll set myself up with UA-cam videos and sit there for hours, crocheting/taking breaks. The weekdays, because I work, I leave it till I get home, so it's a late afternoon/evening thing. One, I don't want to wake up earlier, and two, I'd get too into a project and be late for work if I tried crocheting in the mornings on work days, lol!
Thanks for sharing, Kate! I have a hard time justifying crocheting unless I've designated it "crochet" time. I don't know why! 🤦🏼♀️
I'm a new subscriber and I have to yell tou how inspiring you're ✨️ 😌 thank you for all your advice, tips ,and of course for showing us you!!❤
Awww! Thank you! I'm so glad you are enjoying the channel! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
Hi I work from 2 till 8 in the afternoon so I crochet before work in the morning . This sets me up for the afternoon at work . Then I typically crochet in the evening as well . I really look forward to my crochet sessions xx
Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
I crochet mostly and knit as well. But I have always loved sewing small projects. I think I will try taking 30 minutes every morning to sew specifically because not only do I already know that I will spend the day crocheting or knitting but this way I will be certain to get in a little sewing which brings me so much peace with that needle and thread in hand! Thank you!
That's a wonderful idea! Enjoy your sewing time! 🪡🧵
I am definitely an all times of the day crocheter. I will do it in the morning with my first cup of coffee, after I put our youngest down for a nap, at night, and if I can't sleep then I will work on projects well into the night. Because of my autoimmune issues I can't crochet longer than 2hrs at a time without my arms flaring up. I really enjoyed this video!
Thank you so much for sharing what crocheting looks like for you! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
For me it is the other way around, it is at night when I am most creative and I am better disposed to crochet, after work I arrived very tired, so I take a nap and after dinner my energy is complete this way working on my crochet projects is easier and I feel calmer.
That's great that you've found what works best for you! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
@@EliseRoseCrochet Yeah! I spent a long time looking for what worked best for me and in the end the night won! When I can finally dedicate myself fully to crochet, your system will surely work better for me because I won't have to be so overwhelmed with work and household chores, I look forward to that moment! 🍀🍀🍀🍀❤️
I crochet all the time. Well, not right now because I’m recovering from hand surgery. I so enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing.
Oh! I hope you feel better soon! 🧶🧶☀️☕️
I am a combo Crocheter, but I have recently found that I am getting up earlier then I ever did before about 6:30 and it's my quiet time. I can do my chores early, and be all relaxed before my dad gets up for the day. It also allows me time to be faster in the morning crochet time. I drive my friend to work and her kids to school so having a time that is just mine is awesome.
I'm becoming more and more of a morning person too! ❤️
Funny how we change as we mature!@@EliseRoseCrochet
Like you, I always make my bed in the morning, or I will make it right before I get in it at night. Can't sleep in an unmade bed! I love the quote about creativity in the morning. I know I have to do things in the morning if they are really going to get done, but I never applied that to crocheting. Lately, I've been crocheting less and less, partly due to the pain in my hands (arthritis). I'm going to try to crochet in the morning and see how that goes! Thanks for the great tips.
Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
Love this! Gonna give it a try! I have been having trouble finding time to crochet while staying awake to do it! Every evening I try to crochet and seem as soon as I sit still I'm out, lol.
It's so hard after a long day!! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
I’m retired too and I agree with what you’re saying. I knit, crochet & do cross stitch nearly every day after my morning routines for the rest of the afternoon. This keeps me grounded and sane🧶
It is amazing how good it is for your sanity! 🤣
Thanks for sharing your process
You are so welcome! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
I usually feel guilty if I crochet or knit in the morning. I am trying to get a few things done first, then crochet or knit. I do a lot of car crochet and knitting. My hands bother me too so I have to space it out.
Enjoyed your video and the mouse is so cute!
Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
I have found that I’m more creative with crochet and my music pursuits in the morning. But living alone I have found that creativity happens all during the day. But for sure more so in the morning.
Thanks for sharing!! 🧶🧶🧶
I completely agree! I am lucky enough to be able to crochet most of the day. Because I have trouble with my vision, the evenings are spent recording and planning. I firmly believe that crochet (in general) and mornings in particular, sharpens your focus and attention for the day. The women I know who are in their 80s-90s credit crochet/knitting as part of their longevity. It keeps the mind sharp and the fingers supple. Good on you for making mornings a habit!
That's amazing! Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
Hi Elise! I am very happy for you that you found such a good way to structure your day and be more productive! I also found that, even though I am tired in the mornings, it is a good time to do things that you want to sink in concentrationwise. My brain is relaxed and fresh, while my body is still in the process of picking up pace. So yes, I understand you fully.
Thanks for sharing! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
thanks for vid pretty lady. I do morning and evening. sometimes inbetween . be safe
Thanks so much for sharing! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
I’m a morning and afternoon crocheter bc that’s when I feel most alert. I can’t wait for the mouse pattern 🐭
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing! And the mouse pattern and tutorial should be out next Saturday! 🧶❤️☀️☕️🐭
I crochet at night but going try to start January doing this as My motivation is not brilliant this will help Great Video
I do hope it helps you as much as it has helped me! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
I’ve missed you!! The mouse is so cute. I’m ready to buy it as soon as it’s released.
Thank you! 🐭🐭🐭
I try and do 15-20mins of crochet/knitting before work, it doesn't always happen but I'm definitely happier on the days that I get that time.
It really does help! Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
OMG finally another person who likes to get into a made bed. My husband thinks I am crazy. He has been laid off from his job since the end of July & totally disrupted me making the bed when I wake up super early, before him now. But when he is out of bed I will go make it. I was out of town this last weekend & he had not made the bed 🫢& the first thing I did before unpacking was make bathe bed.😂.
I also crochet in the morning while having my coffee & watching the news. 😁💜
Lol! I totally understand the need to have the bed made!! 😅
I am a night owl. I make myself go to bed in the midnight to 1 A.M. time frame. We are retired. We get up around 9.
My husband makes our bed. 😊 I love crocheting any time of the day...but it's usually in the evenings. Today, it's all day.. I'm frogging a sweater that had sleeves fit for an orangutan! 😅
Haha!! Wonderful! You're living the dream! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
@@EliseRoseCrochet 🤗🙋♀️
I love to get some crocheting in in the morning before I head out for my walk. It doesn't happen every day, but most of the week I manage to get in at least 15 minutes. I tend to do most during the evenings when I'm watching football or catching up on shows I watch on streaming. I recently picked up the book Outlander Knitting, so I'm trying my hand at the armwarmers in there. I'm determined to get better at knitting! :)
Thanks for sharing, Rhonda! I've gotten that book form the library before! The patterns are gorgeous! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
I crochet in the car while I wait for my child to get out of school in the afternoon or in the morning if I am waiting to drop her off. That is my alone time. I am finding that I am having more meetings and work requirements that cut into my craft time and it really does effect me. I guess you really don't know how something benefits you until it's gone lol.. 😊
That's so true! 🧶🧶🧶
I agree first thing morning and last thing night. The days are too hectic as a retired married lady. I have projects bedside, in the morning reflections and reading Quran area, in the sunroom and upstairs in the stitching area looking out to backyard. So no excuses. I crochet wherever and whenever.
It really does set the tone for the day to begin with a little crochet! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
I usually crochet in the evenings after work, but thinking a short am session may be helpful and more consistent. I find that I don’t pick it up every day and then you’re right, I forget where I’m at and takes me forever to figure it out, especially on a project I’ve never done before which makes me more frustrated and less likely to pick it up. Thanks for the little nudge!
I hope it works well for you! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
I have a similar routine. I wake up and have a cup of coffee with my husband before he leaves for work, then I read my bible and do some journaling and after I have done that, I pick up my knitting or crocheting and either work in silent contemplation or listen to a favorite podcaster. It really is a wonderful way to start your day with peace and calm. Usually after about an hour, I am ready to tackle housework or head off to my job!
Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
This is fascinating! I can’t wait to give it a try as I, too, do NOT consider myself a “morning person”. At. All.
Has little mouse been named yet? She’s “Poppy” to me, lol.
Thank you! Hugs ☺️🫶🏻🧶 Lisa in Columbus
Thank you, Lisa! I never thought of myself as a morning person either, but this experiment opened my eyes! And yes she has been named! Can't wait to share next week! 🧶❤️☀️☕️🐭
That mouse is so cute!!! But thanks for the video, it’s made me think
You’re welcome 😊
Thank you for sharing
You're welcome! ☀️
This was very interesting. It makes sense that, if you crochet in the morning, it is less likely to be pushed out of the way by other things. I set the timer to crochet for 30 minutes like you, but it is because if I do it for longer, I get a migraine. When is your bride pattern going to be available? I can't wait for your mouse pattern, so cute!
Thank you! I have to complete the mouse pattern, a duck pattern and then I will be publishing the bride and groom! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
I start my day with a game of wordle then daily sudoku, then if I have time before work I fit in a little crochet. X K
Thank you so much for sharing! My mom loves Wordle too! 🧶☀️☕️❤️
Im a combo of all three
yeah, I wish I could do that instead of going to a stupid job to just survive. Want my hooks, my yarn, my garden and my chickens!
I will crochet any chance I get 😊 and I’m a morning person so I will try it … thank you for your advice 😊
That's wonderful! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
First!!
I really want to start crocheting in the morning, it would be so nice and relaxing 😊 But I am always busy and end up crocheting in the evening 😢😅
I totally understand! It's hard to carve out that time when you're busy! ❤️
@@EliseRoseCrochetYeah it is 😢
Also, may I say your hand writing is amazing! Mine looks like I was writing in the dark haha!
Oh thank you! 📝
This is such a great video Elise! Thank you for sharing your real life with us! Take care!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 🧶🧶🧶
Elsie, I'm in! I do have a morning routine, but never thought to add knitting time to the mornings. I took notes on everything you said, and will get back to you in 30 or so days, and let you know how it worked out. Thanks!
Ooh! Yay! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
I do most of my crochet in my car between taking my husband to work and waiting to go into work myself, during my lunch break and then after work in the car waiting to pick my husband up most nights I’ll do a little more after dinner to unwind as well
Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
Im a cold weather crocheter and just make random stuff Lol..i give credit to anyone who can do it like a career!
Thank you! Sounds like you're having fun with it! 🧶🧶🧶
This is so lovely. I'd have to do it in an evening myself though as I probably wouldn't stop crocheting all day and get nothing else done as I hypefixate when I get into a project. 🙈
Lol! That's why I have to set a timer! 🧶❤️☀️☕️🤣
Thanks for this video! I need to carve out creative time, too!
I hope you do! ❤️
It depends on what i'm making, but usually I crochet afternoons and evening/night. I usually stop a couple hours before I go to bed.
Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
@EliseRoseCrochet Thank you so much for all your help with everything! I'm a new crocheter and just finished watching your video on beginner mistakes to avoid. I'm confused, because one of the things you said was to avoid crocheting every day, which I've been guilty of, but this video is encouraging it. Can you please clarify which/what you mean? Thanks again!
I did end up crocheting every morning for 30 days straight and maybe it's because I only would crochet for a max of 30 minutes in the morning that I didn't end up with pain. Now I don't do it every single day but I have continued to crochet/knit in the mornings, just not every morning. ☀️
That's such a good idea! I've been too tired at night to crochet recently. Although with little kids it's hard to do, I'm going to try to get up a little earlier to get in some crochet time. Definitely going to need to get to bed earlier though! 😂
I remember when my kids was little, mornings were always pure chaos! 🤣🤣🤣
Love love your honest advice. I too have to make my bed morning or before bed if it’s unmade since my husband gets up after me most of the time. But he is learning to make the bed 😅. Love St Benedict 😊need videos on amigarumi for beginners please 😅
As a grandma at 62 I am setting trying to set up and organize a small craft room budget super priority! I’m a self learning super beginner sewing;crafting;crocheting love it all but starting now juggling babysitting time but so blessed. Would love to start making the toys for beginners Amurugami
❤️
I'm an "I'M SO STRESSED I NEED A BREAK OR COMPLETE DENIAL THAT BAD THINGS EXIST" time of day crochet person. Ha!
I totally understand! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
I've been trying to find a way to "force" myself to get out of bed earlier in the morning so I will take some time to study my Bible and practice the piano...maybe 15 mins of crocheting before I do those other things will help!
That's wonderful! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
Hello Elise 👋.I'm not a morning person.after noon and night.cant sleep.
Thanks for sharing! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
Hi Elise! Great video. I am an all around the day crochet and I try to limit my time in order to get the things done I need to do BUT, I think I’m gonna try this 30 minute timeframe. I usually study/read my Bible defining the words in Hebrew and Greek for an hour or so, then breakfast, then a little crochet but I think I’m gonna put a timer on just to see. Maybe I’ll get to finish some of my amigurumi projects along with a sweater and a Tunisian scarf. I classify myself as crochet aDD because I never finish but just start new ones. So maybe just maybe I can finish my Rosie Doll’s. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend
Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
That mouse is so adorable! I love her!
I usually crochet whenever I feel like I can. The only issue I have is that I usually feel really unsatisfied with my work, and I'll frog everything and start over. Do you have any tips that could help my issue?
There could be a couple of different issues going on and it may take some time to figure it out.
One issue could be that you're a beginner and your eye is better formed than your crochet skills are at the moment. That means it's just a matter of time before you are crocheting what looks good to you!
Also you may be dealing with perfectionism and being way too hard on yourself. This is something I struggle with a lot. You'd be surprised how often I find myself criticizing something I've made only to give it a couple of days and realize what I made was good enough. ❤️❤️❤️
@@EliseRoseCrochet Thank you! I am a beginner, I have only 2 projects under my belt. I just... feel like it isn't good enough, but it IS good enough for me, and that's all that matters!
@@sammie-kun. it is good enough! You should have seen my first projects! Keep practicing and you'll be amazed in six months how much you love your work!
I love this!!! And I will definitely try it. Also I cannot wait for that adorable mouse pattern ❤
I'm crossing my fingers that it will be out next Saturday! That's the plan! 🧶❤️☀️☕️🐭
Love your videos-inspiring and now you’ve got me thinking-about crochet on the morning. I am very slow to get up. So scheduling crochet for the a.m. just might do the trick off getting me out of bed. Otherwise, I can crochet any time of day and it ALWAYS excites me!!!
Yes! It's a good excuse to get out of bed! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
I'm glad that works for you but for me a half hour a day would take me months to finish just a scarf!
I do a half hour in the morning and then crochet in the evenings! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
@@EliseRoseCrochet Thank you
How do you stop after 30 minutes? I 'll be late for work everyday 😢 if I do this. 😀 I crochet evenings as it is relaxing after a day of work and I sleep very well since I've been doing this. Maybe when I retire I will do mornings.
thank you your videos are so inspiring ps. is it just me or for my birthday i am buying a ton of crochet supplies !!
I totally get it!! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
Hi elise I'm working on a green frog doll and changing the pattern to fit/make another character for a customer
Wonderful! 🧶🧶🧶
I crochet almost 8 hours a day. Need to become a seller. Lol
You should! 🧶🧶🧶
Woww
🧶❤️☀️☕️
Omg you're online
Elise, I love your adorable mouse!!❤🤗
I crochet in the morning while having coffee & watching my favorite morning shows but I also do it in the afternoon & evening sometimes if I want to finish a project sooner...it's so relaxing that it's hard to stop.
It really is! Thanks for sharing! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
Being retired, I’m a combination of all three.
That's great! Thanks for sharing! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
I have a pica pau question. Did you use a 3.5 mm and worsted for those projects? I just got all three books but small hooks hurt my hands. Thank you!
Yes I did! 🧶🧶🧶
Did you make the mustard colored sweater you were wearing?
No! It's store bought! 🧶🧶🧶
Can you do a tutorial for coraline amigurumi?
Thanks for the suggestion! Unless it's my pattern I am not able to do a tutorial as it would be a violation of their copyright. ❤️
Do you have a cute possum pattern?
I don't, but I think if you left off the ears of my new mouse pattern, it could look like a possum! The pattern and tutorial will be out next Saturday! 🐭
If you read the Bible every morning it will change your life also. Before crochet.
Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
I crochet when I’m bored and with nothing to do
I’m a retired teacher turned homeschool mom. I enjoy the slower mornings and crochet in the morning while listening to some of my favorite UA-camrs (usually biblical teachings) and in the evening after dinner. My problem is that sometimes I don’t want to stop crocheting and I am either getting a late start on homeschool lessons with my 14 year old or going to bed really late! 😝 self- discipline is hard!
Thanks so much for sharing! And self discipline is soooo hard!! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
loved your video about this. I started crocheting in the morning about 6 months ago, because of a very stressful time at work. Work has changed, but I kept the routine, as it's very enjoyable, and I get so much done! 😊💟
Hi Elise! I crochet/knit any time during the day where I can fit it in, but like the idea of a set morning routine. I'll have to set a 30 minute timer because once the hook/needles start going, time just flies. Great video and great suggestions.
Yes! I set a timer as well! It's easy to get caught up playing with yarn and the time passes too quickly! 🧶❤️☀️☕️
Between work and going back to college for my bachelor’s degree as an adult learner, crochet keeps me sane! It is my happy place and it relaxes me. I taught myself at the beginning of the pandemic and I wish I had started crocheting years ago. I carry a project with me to work and and crochet for a bit before I go into the building!
That's wonderful! Sounds like you are very busy! But I'm so glad you discovered crochet to help with stress!! 🧶❤️☕️☀️
Welcome to the hookers club! I hope you keep the skill for life, even if you take several hiatuses when life gets busy , it is always there when you come back. ❤️
