It does cost more than shopping in person..but considering gas prices, (!) time and convenience, it may well be worth it to you. Also shoppers are so FAST...and FRIENDLY! :)
The shopper was emailing me as he was filling my order. He finished my order, charged my card, then left the food at the store and never delivered it or communicated again. Of course I am very irritated because now I have to contact Kroger my self and try to get them to credit my card because the Insta Cart people do not help you with that even when it is their people that screwed up. If Kroger is going to use a third party, they need to have a strong liaison system to work with these vendors to ensure they do not make the Kroger customers irritated and frustrated. This is extreme Bad Service!!!
I don't know what you're doing but every time I have a problem with the instacart I contact the live chat. They figure out the situation and they always give me a credit for my next order. If I need the item the same day they will reorder for me.
I currently use walmart plus and its horrible ive run out of food in the house several times cause my orders are continuously delayed or just nvr come then i have to fight to get my money back
I have ordered Fry's Food / Instacart online delivery approximately 3 to 4 times in Phoenix, Arizona for my elderly mother. I would order online more often but the website and mobile app is not user friendly. It shows an item but not the full description or price unless you click on the item. But if I click on the item and try to go back to where I left off it will take me all the way to the top of the list and I have to scroll back down to find where I left off. The coupons should be listed right next to each item and give you an option to click on it. Going through all the coupons is so times consuming; searching for items I need is alreasy too consuming! My phone is slow and sometimes freezes up. Also, last time I ordered items for delivery some items automatically were listed under pickup. I didn't realize it and when I purchased my items for delivery. I noticed I didn't get 2 of my items. When I went back online to check as to why, I noticed they were listed under pickup. Why would Frys Food make ordering online more stressful?! Furthermore when my groceries were delivered from Instacart, I received a soggy tomato and avocado and a visibly rotten white onion, and my mini bell peppers that are suppose to be yellow, red and orange were actually green and grey. I would love to help make their online ordering more user friendly. I don't think I will be ordering online from Frys Foods or Instacart if this doesn't get corrected. I am a full time caregiver for my elderly mother who cannot medically leave the house or be left alone. Therefore I cannot leave the house either. I don't have all the groceries I need to make dinner tonight. Hence, I paid $10.00 delivery free and $4.00 tip; I cannot get a discount on either. My $5.00 refund for the rotten food will take 7 business days. I pretty much paid Frys Food and Instacart $14.00 to make my day more stressful.
I will be 79 in October 2021, and happy I travelled on my own dime, from age 20-73. I was born, educated, and earned all my income from working.. I share most generously with non beggars. Acapulco and Singapore were the only places I wanted to retire, but the earthquakes and the expensive cost of living were the deal breakers. There is no reason for people living and dying on the streets. Replace the incomes, when you shut down incomes. My choice was to work, travel, and help where I could with both hands.
I attempted to place an Instacart order after not having used Instacart for several months. The order was placed successfully. Tried to edit the order and got a message that my account was locked. Then an email arrived that said I needed scan my card as part of a security check. Attempted to scan card and the program wouldn’t read it. Tried again - no luck. Called customer service and was informed that a “security review” might be completed today, or might not, and my order was cancelled. This wouldn’t be an such annoyance if Instacart had let me know BEFORE I placed the order that a security review was needed. As it was, they just wasted my time.
Instacart NOT Elderly friendly: I have been using instacart regularly for the past few years. Since I am primary care for my 96 year old mother, have been ordering food on her behalf for all this time. Though I fully understand a businesses need to change process, enlightened businesses understand the need for escalating valid issues to second tier support for resolution. It is how an organization learns from implementing new policies. Unfortunately Instacart does not do this. They now force both a validation of ID & Credit Card and lock your account each and every time. This makes a complete mockery of their Senior only helpdesk - not truly understanding what seniors need. Basically I don't know too many elderly that are computer literate enough to order from their own account. My mother has no internet, email or computer. Have canceled my subscription since they basically don't care to learn. Getting food delivered for the elderly is a BIG deal.
The only worse delivery app I used was Uber eats they are the worst of the worst. I never got my order. I decided to use it again about 6 months later. One order was taking forever the app could not find a driver. I canceled the order but they still charged my credit card. I contacted Uber East they said they're sorry but they can't do nothing about it because the order was already started and I canceled. And they're already charged me and they cannot cancel it. Bullshit they basically stole my money and didn't got my order.

Thanks for review. Was wondering how the program worked.
Thinking of using this service. Great video.

How unfortunate! (But I am sure this is the exception!...)
