so i don't know if you've heard but i recommend watching BTS festa dinner in your own time, and only listen to what bts says rather than what western articles want it to be. it is very emotional, but overall i am happy for them and there's lots to look forward to!! here's a summary but i REALLY reccommend watching it before reading this to get the info directly from them and not from me, bc even army cannot convey their heart with as much sincerity and vulnerability they did as they are the only ones knowing what they're going through and what they want to say.
in summary they are:
- taking time to focus on their solo albums! so that they can come back together even stronger. starting with hobi who is also headlining at lollapalooza soon! they don't want to call it mixtapes but actual albums which will also be more accessible for korean fans as they will be put on various music platforms!
- they clarified it isn't a hiatus or disbandment as they will be using this time to find the message they once again want to convey. articles call it a hiatus but hybe clarified it wasn't. in the festa dinner the translation of what yoongi says is hiatus but he says off period. the semantics don't really matter when their intentions were stated clearly tbh. i just know media will make it smth else. which is why jimin said to "take their words as they are".
- they will still be filming run bts (variety show)!!
- the reason why is because chapter 1 was supposed to end with ON and have a break for their next cb but after the pandemic, and all their plans were halted, they wanted to bring joy so dynamite happened. and after its success and seeing the joy it bought they wanted to keep going but this resulted in burn out. lyric writing became hard, they felt like they lost direction and the message they wanted to convey.
- members got emotional and i cried :(
- they treasure the longevity of their relationships the most
- they discussed the matching friendship tattoos. namjoon wanted an abstract one but they ended up getting a 7 tattoo, though some haven't gotten it yet.
anyway everything they've done (regarding the concerts - they planned the setlists etc) makes more sense to me now and i see how much effort they put in to do everything together. there's a LOT to look forward to and i commend them for putting their mental health first. to take a little step back at the height of your career, and hone your individuality is no easy feat. let's continue to support them as individuals and as a group!! lots of love
how much longer will be the break? Also, what about the military service, with that will they comeback as a group as they promised? Btw you explained it so nicely!!
@@happyngrateful810 tbh it's not really a break. more like a halt for a moment as namjoon said as they'll still be working. they didn't say anything so i won't speculate. again namjoon posted a letter on weverse today about his frustration about media twisting his words :( and expressed regret for being so vulnerable bc he thinks its his fault for crying that media made such headlines about disbandment and hiatus :( jungkook also went on vlive again to clarify they weren't disbanding. it's so EASY to have faith in bts when they have always said what they mean. i didn't doubt them for a second. about military enlistment, i don't feel like it's my place to comment on anything or to speculate, especially when the sk government has been drawing out the exemption bill for 4 years. i imagine it's very frustrating for them, and i don't want to add any by speculating.

He said RUN BTS will come back and judging from the boys announcing their break before and then completely shocking us with content left and right, I feel like we won't even feel their "break"

yes, this dropped yesterday! today the “bts festa dinner party 2022” dropped and in there bts announced that they will be taking an hiatus and focusing on solo work, starting with j-hope performance in lollapalooza

No because listening to all of these songs hit differently now. I was super emotional hearing them for the first time but today its just another emotional rollercoaster. I'm sure you guys have heard but BTS as a group are on going on hiatus but will still be doing solo work. We don't know how long this break will last, but I just know for sure that ARMY will be there for them when they come back and will support whatever they release. Anderson .Paak is a beast and always adds a vibe and groove. He knows how to bring it and elevate any song! A huge .Paak fan here, and if BTS wants to add groove and soul, AP is the one to take them there. And yes, AP’s son Soul Rasheed was the one who made him a fan of BTS so a collaboration makes sense. I’d even buy the live version with .Paak’s drumming and background vocals.

Given the news we got this morning, it would be great if you could watch the 'Festa Dinner Party' in its entirety! It gives great context and I think their decision is best explained by the members themselves. I know that it is very long and thus do not expect a video - but I think it would be great to watch it on your own time (rather than just reading articles that might not fully capture or misrepresent what they said) :(

i really want to be mature and say I am happy for them taking a break and going solo ... but i gonna miss the bts as a group ...
i really wish they went this route with the album version. it's so much better. i just can't get on board with the album version. too many vocal effects and electronic sounds. this is the superior version coz it's more raw and more intimate and heartfelt and you can feel the message of the song more.

Guys some news for you if you don’t know. Today Bts released their festa dinner and they talked about a lot. I am just gonna sum it up. So basically BTS announced that they are going on a break as a group and they will focus on their solos careers. They will each release solo albums, and take some time apart. It got really emotional in that dinner and everyone started crying because they were scared that they would disappoint us with their decision which is not the case , we will support them no matter what. They said they will come back as group one day💜
Ps : they are not disbanding, they are just on a hiatus as yoongi said.
Let’s respect their decision and support their solo works until they come back as 7 again💜💜
