Daryl, Great job blending the two photos into the layout. It's amazing how trees can help break the viewpoint and add to the blending of the backdrop. Nice job! Tony
Looks great, really like the photos blended into the backdrop. You can’t tell they are there and did a great job. I’ll have to get creative like that in a few areas of my layout when I get to scenery. Thanks for sharing. - Steve
LOL The Del Monte plant !! I have spent many an hours at that place as a Truck driver. For La Grou Distributions, which is located at the other end of town. Nice people to work with while loading or unloading at Del Monte. THX ...
really nice blending of the modeled portion into the backdrop. Many times these don't stand up to realy close scrutiny, but they really don't have to! The mission is to fool the eye of a casual observer, and your work does that VERY well. It really adds the depth to that scene, which is important because the famous crossing at Rochelle draws attention.
Daryl from time to time in the past you've done "How I Do" videos .. one day in the future when you plan on adding some photo backdrop as you've done in this one would you consider doing a how to on that project? The process of capturing, manipulating and then using a photo from google earth or wherever you capture it from would be very interesting. You surely pulled off a great photo used backdrop in this video..well done. You should be proud. Tom
Daryl, You can tell it's a great day in Paradise when you post the latest Geneva Sub video. The latest scenery work is way above my pay scale. Just magic. Cheers, Chris Perry.
@@EvanstonSub From a selfish standpoint .. I'm glad you are doing well on retirement.. your videos.. are even better than they were when you were working.. Thanks for retiring..lol.
@@EvanstonSub Daryl, Don't feel guilty, just enjoy it. If your snowed in today you might have time to run some trains. But trains from West Colton this morning are running about 4hrs. late to start the run east. So you might not see a train for awhile. Cheers, Chris Perry.
Daryl, they look great, you did one heck of a job and it really paid off can't see any reason to look for any other way you could have done it, like the cab ride too, just wondering what kind of camera you are using....thanks for sharing....Jack 😃

That's cool how you placed the trees to force the view you want to show.
Daryl,
You did a great job of forced perspective there. Enjoyed the cab ride bonus!!

Yep. The real warehouse is about 10 time bigger than the one on my layout. Glad you recognized it though!
Excellent video bud!

Being retired and working on the layout whenever I want is pretty awesome and seems like paradise. Sometime I feel guilty :)

Thats crazy how the road, and tracks look good from one angle and not the other.
