I moved to Denver from Eugene four years ago this month, and will be visiting next week. I've been looking up videos like a nostalgic old man, and found your post here. Lovely video, thank you.
what do you like better?
@@km6610 It changes day to day. I moved back to Oregon March of 2020 and really missed Denver the first six months or so. Oregon now feels like home again... but I'd have to say I prefer Denver.
@@556hp is there anything specific you miss that denver does better?
This is the ideal video! Instead of some mysterious person silently driving around the city a dozen times, you stuck to downtown, cheerfully giving a proper intro and outro. Well done!
Born and raised in Oregon, I’ve traveled to other states but always return to Oregon feeling like it’s home. Eugene is a fun city! Way better than Portland. Thanks for sharing.
I love Eugene! I stayed there along the way driving to Seattle in Nov 2019. I stayed across from the Univ of Oregon for a night. Cool college town and awesome and friendly peeps. Beautiful scenery too!!
💕 Hi Chantelle, I've been to Eugeen once. It seemed like a very "Hippie" town. Very nice and well groomed. Kind of a college town. A lot like parts of Minneapolis, MN.
im moving to Eugene for grad school in a few weeks and videos like these are making me really excited :)
❤Love you tour of Eugene OR!
🌞🌵🌟🌴🌼
Funny just saw this one...my last job in my field I was at silver falls state park that I hope you saw when there...I love Oregon and miss it so...
This was such a cool video!😍 By far one of my favorite exploring vids!🙌 Eugene is an awesome place to live!
Thanks for the video. Thinking of visiting from seattle this summer and this made me want to even more! Be well.
That was awesome! I recognized a lot of it :)
I lived in Eugene in 1965 and again 1997. I have relatives there still.
You make me wanna visit Eugene! Good video
My husband and I are moving to Eugene with our 2 year old son, we’re coming from Rochester, NY! Can’t wait!
LOTS of good vegan food here
Wonderful tour!
My dad and brother and I are moving out there here soon and would love to meet you! And we also live in the middle of nowhere Illinois as well as of right now. But we're from ohio. Just saying our family would love to be your friend! Love your videos by the way❤
I have lived here most of my life but I have traveled too and I don’t think there is any place prettier than Eugene Oregon in the Springtime🤗
Thanks for the tour! I'm curious if you've experienced any summers/falls where Eugene get's socked in with smoke from the fires... my husband is a firefighter and worries that the smoke settles in the valley
Oh yeah! One of the years it was so bad they told everyone to stay inside. It was thick, like bad fog, and we couldn't see very far ahead. I was coughing pretty badly just from my commute to and from work.
I am gay,I’m 18 almost 19 and I’m from a small town in Kentucky. I’m moving to Eugene in June for college but more importantly I’m going to build my life in Eugene. Forever. Is There a gay male population in Eugene?
Yes! The LGBTQ community is large here. And it's a very open town (for the most part.) We have a Pride Festival (though it's small in comparison to the one in Chicago which is the only other Pride I've been to.) There's inly one "gay bar" in town, but they always have something fun going on. Also, it's the first place I've been to that actually asks "what is your preferred pronoun?" Which I think is super nice and cute.
Honestly, though, it's a small community compared to where I'm from. Portland is a little bigger, but San Fran, Chicago or L.A. are the best. Chicago has a neighborhood called "Boys Town" and a huuuge pride parade and festival.
You'll love Eugene, though! Everyone is super nice here. (:
I want to be friend with you. How can I reach from another part of the world? Wp? Instag?
This was a great video. Thank you.
Thank you... I’m planning on moving there
You are very interesting to watch. I love to watch your videos. Covid 19 is making it hard to get out and mingle. Watching your videos makes me feel like I am going out. THANK YOU , FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.
Illinois was nice when I visited oregon is nice except the rain of course
You make amazing videos!
Great Vid!
One of my BFFs retired to Eugene Oregon, when I retired to Shiro Texas. She LOVES it, started a little garden and is raising some farm animals. Shes so happy there. She says the food is wonderful, she found a quaint lovely tiny church where she plays the organ for them, and shes made the most sweetest of friends. Thank you for your tour. I enjoyed it sooooo much!
In moving to Eugene for work very soon and literally can't find adequate apartments for any cheaper than the Portland prices you listed. Please let me know if you know of a 1bd (or 2bd) under $900 that is good.
Very nice video. I live in Chicago wanting to move.
Thank you! Part of me misses Chicago, but I don't want to leave the PNW. Lol I definitely need to schedule a visit there soon. (:
Thanks - planning on moving to Eugene in spring - looks very nice 🔥
Awesome! You'll love it here.
How’s it going?
👍😊📷
I live in Eugene, also because I couldn't afford Portland.
What's the winter like?
Does it snow in Eugene?
It snowed twice in the four years I lived there. The first time was barely an inch. The second time it snowed a foot in one day.
It does get some gnarly ice storms, though. It rains, then freezes over night. Everything in the morning is covered in ice. Looks cool. Sucks to walk in. Lol
I was born in Eugene and Oregon is my home. ❤️ Oregon
