Thank you James for making it possible for me to enjoy the greatest jazz band around. And many thanks to TS for continuing to make great music. God bless you all!
Gotta admit, this is pretty enjoyable music, so much so that I finally bought a couple albums. Drove into town with them playing on the car radio...hard to drive with that toe tapping music! Thanks, Tubby Skinny!
Warms my heart.....been awhile since I had my Tuba Skinny fix....the soprano sax player looked like the road cone stool wasn't the most comfortable 3 legged stool around...get that guitarist a vocal mike!
Magnificent interpretation of this band always with those sounds of the 20-30s full of magic joy and desire to dance, continues to record and upload greetings from Palmira Valle del Cauca, Colombia

No exaggeration. It's not such an "end of the world" after all Some have further to go. Plus a big pond to cross. Greetings from a big TS fan as well😃😉
@@misfozje3434 ok we say "end of the world" because of the " global location" Argentina y Chile are sister countries in South América: thank you for your time:we will continue to enjoy TS (from down here) hug
Thank you James for another busking video. The sound is brilliant in my opinion. I am very impressed because it is a busking performance with all street noise. The soprano sax player did a great job too. Craig invited him playing with the band. I like the situation when guests come to the band playing with them. I remember me the trombone player at the Starlight Lounge in 2020. I mean the Savoy Blues video you have filmed there. Best wishes and Happy Easter. Dave
Thank you 🙏 still amazing how people walking 🚶🚶♀️🚶🏽♂️changed by tuba 🎻🪕🎺🎷🪘🎤🥁skinny 🎼🎼and thank you 🙏 camera 🎥 person 👍. You all have a joyful Happy Easter 🐇
Many thanks as ever, James. I wonder how many 12-bar tunes they have in their repertoire. About 40, I guess. They play this one in E flat, which seems to be a key Greg is very comfortable with. For example, within a few days recently, they twice played the 12-bar 'You Gotta Give Me Some' - in E flat in New Orleans with Greg singing and then in Switzerland but this time in B flat with Erika providing the vocal.
@@JiveDadson as has been noted, there's probably a political reason behind this. The mayor has to know full well that the public don't like what he's doing.
@@JiveDadson er yes, I meant to look that up. I saw the mayor was called Latoya, and took that to be a woman's name. When I made that last comment, I'd forgotten anyway. So is the mayor male or female?
James, as always great. My only regret is that I could not go to Switzerland even though it is less than 1000 kilometers. And there was such an opportunity...eh, life🙄
Sounds the same chord sequence as “It’s tight like that “ song, but here “I’m travellin home” and the guest welcomed with no jealous fuss as happens with unfriendly bands !
It's a Mississippi Sheiks tune with the melody of Papa Charlie Jackson's "Shake That Thing." (I wonder if a lawsuit was involved at the time.) Great, strong lead horn by Shaye, solid, authentic pocket by the rhythm section, nice solos with Craig hittin' the blue notes and concluding with that smokin' run through the registers. I'd like to hear the sax guy on alto, Craig too doubling on it too. He was quite good on it on some earlier TS vids.

I started cringing when the cone disapeared into oblivion. I don't think this band knows how naturally funny they can be. Greatest musicians in the world and so non chalant. Shaye is precious, the rapture may be happening and she just continues to play as the Hurricanes, Tornados, Earthquakes, Frogs, Boils, Blood in the miissiissiipii, Locusts, etc. are happening all around her, She is the greatest, I love this group.
Erika has been in Bern Switzerland from April 12----16 performing with Tuba Skinny. She usually rejoins the band for tours and festivals. She now lives in Asheville N.C.
@@brendamello2202 Saw an interview with her on an Asheville NC public radio station on UA-cam. She's raising their baby and working on her country music, too. Asheville's gain, but still touring some with TS. Hope to catch a show of hers here, since I am just 4 hours from Asheville.
For me, Dixieland is the only kind of music where a clarinet sounds good. Maybe in classical music but they are often lost in all the other goings on. I know some people are going to talk about big band and Bennie Goodman and I shan't criticize you if you like it but, again I say for me, it just sounds dorky.
Loved the sax player's wedgie seat.😂And he really crushed it.🤣

A great song played as well as always. I much like the addition of the sax player. He fits.
Is this how Tuba Skinny holds auditions, show up and see if you can do it? Takes some courage to play with these guys. Wonderful
Thank you James, all the way from Mumbai, India . I have been following TUBA SKINNY for some time now. I miss their female singer.

Brian didn't look very comfortable sitting on that traffic cone. It didn't affect his playing, I'm pleased to say.
The city needs to paint a jazz line on the road. Gold color with bars and notes. Everybody jams behind the jazz line.
The city needs to honor the ordinance that keeps motor vehicles off of Royal during busking hours.
