What is with all the dislikes for this video? Even if you don't like or want the product for some reason, this was a very well produced video. It did a great job of showing how the product works. People are idiots.
I just hate having to use a cellphone given the fact I still own my 7 JetBlack and its battery life depletes incredibly fast and it's also sensitive to sunlight so it could have a tendency to overheat being in a position like that.
Right, which is why we recommend to use HUDWAY Glass when it's not very sunny. It's particularly helpful in low visibility conditions (like fog or darkness).
@@928dawson6 Why? They're not wrong. It's a bad idea and given the news about two years ago that came out regarding the law suits against Apple especially for throttling batteries due to shitty life spans... this isn't a great investment.
Very cool, smart and interesting device. I really liked it! Hudway glass is securely fastened to the dashboard, the device magnet! I'm sure the glass will not fall, and don't break on the way. It projects any information on the windshield. That means, you can look at the browser, weather, GPS etc., and you aren't distracted from the driving! I just can say: wow, I need it!
Very nice demonstration, but I would want to try it out first. It appears like a great idea, but I think I may be distracted (probably just me) watching it all the time. I don't know. Plus, I would want to see if it would improve my night driving to. Thanks for the introduction.
Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it. Probably one day you will change your mind, then please feel free to contact our support service once you have questions :)
HUDWAY Glass is a great idea. I understand that it is made of safety glass, which serves as both a mirror and a magnifying lens. It is interesting, but what about the picture clarity? I think I will buy this device for my car. I very much like such things.
Yes! Both lens and a mirror. The picture is fantastic at night, and still decent during the day - you can see it on the video. Def let us know what you think once you've had a chance to test. Thank you!
I ordered one and it never came...tracking stopped once it hit US customs but never said which airport or customs it landed in. Makes me think this product is a scam.
To be honest. just surprised that it wasn't glass. I still can't understand how to come up with it's safety glass, but still that shows this quality picture. Just not clear for me the cost and I think at the moment if the price will suit me, then I will definitely buy it and my husband, as it is more amazing in my life, I have never met and really want to brag to your friends.
We recommend to take the phone off your dashboard as soon as you reach your destination. It is totally fine on short trips. The possibility of overheating exists only when you are driving in direct sunlight from 11 am to 2 pm non-stop and the phone is in the direct sun light this entire time.
Adil Farid You sir are correct in your observation! It would absolutely damage your device to place it face up on your dash facing the intense summer sun in warmer climate regions... As someone who repairs cellular devices, please heed my advice and never place your phone on a hot dash facing the Sun!
I think if the sun is too bright it may be not easy to see the reflection on the glass... But still that`s an interesting idea, at least i`ve never seen something like this before. So what`s the best option - round or square magnet or it depends on the phone model? And when it comes to installing the application will it be for free or we need to buy it as well? Sorry for asking so many questions, just curious...
What App is used to flip the image on the phone (i.e. to reverse image) so it appears correctly in the reflective glass? You cannot just lie a phone in the cradle and expect that it is reflected correctly.
Hi George, thank you for your interest. You can use any app which works with HUD mode - Hudway Go, HUD Widgets, Navmii, Sygic and etc. Here is the active 30% OFF coupon code for HUDWAY Glass device: MDAY19 (enter it at the checkout).
Doesn't you phone get hot laying in the dash like that? of course not with air on but I drive a Jeep and that's a major problem when I place my phone in the dash tray
Hi. Every time I open the hudway app it asks me to subscribe to premium, even though I had already input the code sent with the hudway. Do I have to do this every time I open the app or is this just a bug? And so using hudway during night/dark situation, do you get a relfection of your mobile screen, might be on top of on the windshield? And how did you reverse the video?
H, answering your questions: 1) Looks like a bug. Do you use iOS or Android? Anywat - please send an email to our support team to support@hudwayapp.com, they will deffinetley help. 2) Yes, at night, if the brighness of your screen is very high, there might be second refeltion on a windshield. Please try to adjust phone brightness so there will be no second reflection, but good image at HUDWAY Glass. 3) To reverse the video - just rotate the phone 180º and run your video :) Thank you for using HUDWAY!
unfortunately wont be legal in California. Hi @Mastiff Game's - so glad you brought it up! Section 26708 of the California Vehicle Code has a number of exceptions, including 27708(b)(12) - for a GPS device used for "door to door navigation." So while as a general rule, you are correct, no objects are allowed on the dashboard, our device fits perfectly within the exception, as long as you use it for directions. And yes, loving West LA! )

Hi quick question I currently have a mophie battery pack on my iPhone plus and when charging my phone with a micro USB or the battery pack it sometimes heats up while running applications. Places like Arizona get extremely hot and actually not recommended to place any mobile device on dashboards seeing that it is a see through material wouldn't it act as a magnified glass and possibly even harm your device. What is the warranty just in case something like that happens to your phone. Or basically use at own risk?
We do have warranty on our product, but not on your smartphone, unfortunately. We would not recommend to leave your phone in the direct sunlight for a long period of time. Perhaps, try using Hudway Glass at night or in bed weather?
HUDWAY Go app has an Android version, there's also a list of the apps which support HUD mode: hudway.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115006490947-HUD-mode-apps-to-use-with-HUDWAY-Glass
Hudway.co is our website. We are now working on the device that will give you these options - will be out in a few weeks, stay tuned! Hudway Glass just allows you to see your directions from your phone in your line of sight.
Hi! We're sorry for the inconveniences caused. Assuming that you're talking about HUDWAY Go, we didn't implement speed changes zones since we use OpenStreetMap as our map engine. Please take a look on other HUD-mode apps if you really need this feature. Thank you!
Speed limits and school zones are clearly marked by signs. You know, those colorful metal things at the side of the road that you're supposed to be paying attention to instead of staring at a little screen.
Rather than creating an app that simply mirrors your screen, they've created a locked, walled, proprietary environment that only works with outdated apps they charge you extra for. BIG disappointment. I want to use all my apps with this but can't use ANY.
Hi Dan! We wish it was possible as well. But there are some technical restrictions connected to Android/iOS system and device firmware possibilities. We're sorry about that!
Oh no, vice versa. Android is much easier to work with and we know it. Btw, we have mirroring functions for both platforms which allow to mirror your smartphone screen as is.
Hi Laurence! We're very sorry if the device failed to delight you. HUDWAY Glass is the best using with bad visibility conditions, otherwise during the bright and sunny weather it can give some flare and blinks. So we do not recommend to use it this way. Once again sorry about that!
Everybody should do stuff like that. You've already paid for the car, and keeping paying for taxes. Why on earth you should have to carrying commercial everywhere you go?
If I could watch Netflix in Hud mode, I'd be on this like white on rice. Not sure who the targeted audience for this is since most modern cars have built in GPS
We believe it depends on a car dashboard and your seat. If you install it properly, it locates a bit lower that your view. You can also correct the angle and choose the best position for your safe driving.

Right, which is why we recommend to use HUDWAY Glass when it's not very sunny. It's particularly helpful in low visibility conditions (like fog or darkness).
