Its amazing how similar this run is to BOTW and how the tutorial time compares to the actual time
And most of said runs are in the tutorial section. :P
It's amazing what this community has already accomplished. The times are probably going to plateau soon without any new skips, but it's insane that we were already able to get sub hour.
I like how in the speedrun, Ganondorf gets Colgera's theme.
It's pretty amusing and awesome to see how creative speedrunners can be with zonite devices. Such as stacking double gliders to extend air time.
Your explanations help clarify what's going on on screen too.

This speedrun looks super awesome to watch. At the same time having to go through like 8 mins of basically just cutscenes at the beginning whenever you reset is a bummer

Random question when you get the purah pad you can skip one of the rooms where Zelda takes pictures but somehow the picture appears on the pad

Damn, i actually had to prepare for ganondorf. I had to get 11 hearts. 2.5 stamina wheels. master sword fused with a silver lynel horn, five hylian shields, and all of the fierce deity set at one star. I didn't think you could beat ganon with less than that.

Would getting links skirt save time because of the stubbing toe animation?
To say speedrunners hate the game, they don't want to play the game, it's insulting. They spend countless hours learning each and every trick and exploit they can use to beat the game as fast as possible.
Not sure if this might or might not be faster, but I believe it's possible to tumble on the demon dragon from 1 weakpoint to the next (unsure if you take too much damage during this)
Does the language setting provide a meaningful time save or is it just the runner's preference?
I think preference
Chinese dialog saves couple seconds, at least at almost every run
Last i heard they were still testing different language speeds with no difference or minor difference between them. ZDI is a Japanese runner though
Different language speeds affect things. For TP, German was the fastest language, and for BOTW, French was.
Interesting how the game still has a boss rush like botw but in this game you use the sage abilities to beat the bosses so doing the buss rush before Gannon has gotta be really hard

not sure, but if you can't get this trick, even a rock would give enough height to jumpslsh to.
