He's World heritage even. As if God was distracted the day he kept the valve of the capitalist crap coming right from the universal sewerage open, flooding us with more shit we could ever swallow till the end of times, then feeling sorry for us, throwing one of his rare angels from his personal collection, a Noam and addressing us with "that's all I can do for you folks, sorry, take it as a form of compensation, I'm already busy with another solar system". And here we are now. With practically no chance of survival and a gift of God himself...

His late wife, Carol, said "he'll never stop". And she was right.

Considering the implications of this speech you MUST ask yourselves "who actually runs America"? Our government's historically-documented utter disregard for the well-being of others, has come home to our own shores : 50 TRILLION dollar upward transfer of wealth. NAFTA. A decimated education system and a healthcare and pharmaceutical industry that creates "harm" through its own business practices. These inequities were implemented by the willful collusion of a theatrical two-party political system. The common good, the well-being of the whole enterprise has morphed into a "cash cow" for those that can afford to get in the game. Democracy has died. Oligarchy reigns. And many, many people didn't see it happen.

Didn't Chomsky answer your questions? In a true fascist society, he said, government dominates business, but in the US it's the reverse, following the "Henry L Stimson principle". It's what political philosopher Sheldon Wolin called "inverted totalitarianism"

The problem you face is that in a captured 2 party system there is no alternative on offer and that is why democracy has failed. They will never give up this monopoly on power willingly, there is only one alternative and it would be necessarily messy and somewhat destructive. However, I don’t see any viable alternative on offer to this at the moment as you are moving further towards totalitarianism.

@@ALF782 He was entirely wrong about coofid. He doesn't trust the establishment until they create the appearance of a threat that may harm him. Then it's 'govern me and everyone else harder'.
He's also well aware that it was nato/Kiev/DC aggression that drove Russia into Ukraine.
He may have had more of an impact if he left academia and
America for an off grid anarchist life in Central America 25 years ago and published manifestos from there.

@@yp77738yp77739 ..there are always alternatives,, I see change or revolution in the way Americans govern the country could take place peaceably but that would by definition entail the creation of an alternate currency so the corporation could be prevented from hiring mercenaries... All thinking people know that the Federal reserve exists for the purpose of carrying out Jay Cookes wet dream,, paying 1/2 of the working-class to kill the other half... And all of it, all of it based on the legal system enshrined by pirates,, in which precedent takes priority however, in an imperfect world there's always another loophole... Corporate lawyers base their entire practice on this,, and as long as corporate law rules the United States there will be oligarchs and slaves... What's really telling is when the oligarchs say the system isn't working, they just have to make a few adjustments, like during the so-called depression, when they were still rolling in cash hand-over-fist... His legacy as a philosophist spanning two centuries speak for itself.
The adulation he receives is deserved.
His pronouncements are always worth listening to.
What happens however when Noam gets it wrong?
Recently he explained why Sweden and Finland joined NATO. Noam said it was because they were "gloating" over the realisation that Russia was demonstrably weak militarily as their invasion of Ukraine unexpectedly revealed. That their switch from neutrality and move towards US hegemony was totally unnecessary.
Russia forced Sweden into neutrality by destroying it's empire after the great Northern war 200 years ago
Finland was forced into a degrading agreement for decades by Russia after the Winter war.
Rather than gloating Sweden and Finland saw their chance to change the circumstances forced on them historically by an imperialistic Russia, and you can include the Soviet Union as an extension of Russian imperialistic history which the Russians certainly consider as their rightful heritage. This is certainly understood by their neighbours, many of them former colonies.
Honestly, Noam does speak nonsense at times.
What happens when smaller countries see a hegemony like the US preferable to those like Russia?
Noam speaks now with no criticism applied to his commentary. He has become a saint, faultless. The adulation he receives now does not necessarily illuminate, may not help. What's happened to critical evaluation by anyone, in particular someone as influential as Noam Chomsky?

    • @LoyalFriend62
      @LoyalFriend62 Рік тому +1

"Noam does speak nonsense at times." Sadly, many of us have been witnessing this fact for several decades. Few mortals who speak publicly can escape this kind of verdict. However, some people are more prepared to admit that they have been wrong than Noam Chomsky; and some others invite outside help to correct themselves. Even when it comes to his statements about Pol Pot's Cambodia or Serbia vs. N.A.T.O., Noam Chomsky has not (yet) shown enough modesty (nay, a sufficiently profound sense of duty to truth) to admit that he has been mistaken. I corresponded with him (or with somebody who answers his e-mails); and I will continue to try to do so. He claims to be open to ideas for a system that is better than the U.N. I hope he lives up to that statement. I, for one, believe that humankind deserves at least one SUPRANATIONAL BODY (possibly several such bodies that address global issues with overlappying/conflicting jurisdictions), instead of an INTERNATIONAL body that is made up of state officials who are not given any power to pursue goals other than the goals/interests of the (criminal) nation-states that appointed them.

    • @litlnote-wu6yv
      @litlnote-wu6yv Рік тому

@@cynthiajennings5792 Hanging on to his every word is a surprising criticism, however Noam accusing the FInns of gloating occurred first in an interview which Noam addressed to a respectful room of Finns several months ago, along with another accusation levelled towards them for closing their border to Russians fleeing their homeland (which is only partially true). These two accusations are only two of many.
The astonishing ignorance displayed by Noam on a major platform justifying the Russian invasion of Ukraine aimed at all of its former colonies is more than "just getting it wrong". Adding to the Russian population for a bordering nation has dire consequences indeed.
Frankly there are powerful elements of the Left who are getting a lot badly wrong often. It appears a version of a zero sum game is being played. Every evil US action correspondingly cancels out every Russian one.
The left's obsessive justification of the current Russian response because of malignant American influence is inappropriate when dealing with Russian hegemonic practice for any country bordering it.
So yes, I agree with you wholeheartedly, criticism of this crisis needs to be carefully applied and evaluated.

I'll go along with the majority of the professor's thoughts, especially how the parties today have changed approach. Here in the UK there are none that represent me anymore for the same reasons he describes. However I don't go along with the fear mongering over climate being an existential threat. In my view this part is all about capitalism as most of the world's problems are.
If it were about the environment they would be investing in new technologies that don't replace oil with methods that cause equally as much damage to the planet and mankind. Sideways movement cannot be progress, but it can certainly allow $54billion investment funds to grow which is a nice little earner for Al Gore and his friends like Richard Branson who when asked if Gore was a Prophet, replied "Depends how you spell PROFIT"
My view may upset a few, but I see it as a capitalist venture equal to the professors view about the parties pretending to be something they are not.
One look and question about who is making money from the carbon credit market should open some eyes. Some are getting rich by still producing carbon yet paying other entities for credits so that they can claim to be green and virtue signal about it. It's a total nonsense that does not reduce carbon in any way shape or form and is a good reason why people think the whole issue is a money making scam.

The carbon cycle in life is the little sister to water, which together manages the lithosphere's big carbon cycle.

I would like to ask the Dr about the English language. Seems a little fishy to me.
There is a force here good bad whatever you wanna call it. But that force is in direct opposition to any goal a group of humans will or may have. It infiltrates the minds of humans in any and all cases.
It is like the pull of a magnet.
To this day The Native Americans in my opinon came the closest to dispelling whatever the energy is by doing dances and chanting until exhaustion. To dispell this very thing energy spell cast archon demon angel gin etc.
Real time complicated (soulutions) Im afraid are not gonna work unless the unit or group of humans are in charge are acting accordingly. Good luck with that humans just cant act right when money material power wealth health race gender etc are at play.
If humans could have a helicopter veiw so to speak of are maturity well we would look worse than a hoard of pigs.
At this point there a good even great human beings legendary but Im afraid it is just not enough.
If Atlantis is true then the reality of Earth is a true hierarchy that just can never be broken.
The answer for me is there is no answer.
Complicated is just not gonna do it. No matter if your solution is equivalent to the equation 1 + 1 equals 2 in this case 1 + 1 equals 0 why because neither one of the ones can hold value when you have a force directly in opposition of it cancels it out.
