It just sounds like very shady business practices that they think can become the norm in the film industry. I mean Disney cancelled Nimona halfway through and Netflix was able to rescue that and let the team finish it and let people see it. If they can do that for a film that's halfway finished they can do it for a fully finished film. Again it's all rather shady

WB and Zaslav really should just release the film themselves. With the great praise from filmmakers and test audiences, the publicity the film got from all this and the massive controversy Zaslav has at this point, deleting the film could be the stupidest thing Zaslav as a CEO could ever do. If WB refuses to allow the film to be released, then let's hope that someone sometime leaks the film online like someone did with Savg Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks movie.
If nothing else, maybe leak the script so that we get an online comic out of the film.

Well actually Zlazof didn't Green light the movie. The funny thing is Zlazof bought WB in 2022 but all the movies were green lit before he bought WB. So actually he hasn't produced a single movie, everything being released is from the old regime.

I just thought. Maybe Universal should buy Coyote vs ACME. I mean, they have more that enough to pay for it, since 3 of their 2023 films - "The Super Mario Bros. Movie", "Five Nights at Freddy's", and "Oppenheimer" - made them literal *billions* . Also, they're perfectly okay with handling Warner Bros. properties, mainly due to there being a few attractions in their theme parks that are based off of Warner Bros. properties ("Harry Potter" and "King Kong").
They can't. Netflix and Paramount already wanted it and put in orders and they were denied. Universal would be denied too.

Maybe so. I wouldn't think that this might result in Universal (or their parent company Comcast specifically) buying Warner Bros. Discovery outright, but maybe they would, maybe they wouldn't, if it gets Zaslav out of his CEO job, I'd be perfectly fine. Though I might probably say that Amazon would be more likely, and if that's the case, one benefit could be consolidating all of MGM's film libraries under one conglomerate, which would be pretty cool. Tom and Jerry being reunited with MGM sounds good to me! Also, speaking of MGM, this year marks their 100th anniversary (and Columbia Pictures')!
I hope that the movie gets purchased at the last minute. I was looking forward to seeing it.

I don’t think the door is ENTIRELY closed on Coyote vs. Acme. Hopefully the film will just be stored in the archives someone who feels the time is right to release it will save it from purgatory, like with Justice League.
The problem is JL was never written off on tax. Once a project is, it is illegal for the studio to ever release it.

I already felt miserable and depressed without any hope for this world, now this horrible news made my situation even worse. I feel like everything that I love or makes me happy must be gone some way and another. And I have been waiting so long for this movie.
At the end of the day, it’s only a piece of entertainment. Entertainment will come and go, and we can’t let something out of our control hurt us on a deeper level.

This is just scary and devastating all at the same time too. To this day, Warner Bros Pictures Animation have only released 10 movies with their last one coming out back in 2022 with league of super pets. It’s really not looking good for the animation studio at all. But I hope things can change soon.

Though I was never too invested in the Coyote and Roadrunner, I have intense respect for them and people who love these characters. It’s terrible seeing all these talented and dedicated people getting snubbed of their life’s work before them by an executive whose running the company into the ground. I’m surprised he wasn’t forcibly removed by his executives (or whoever can do that).

My feelings are that he won’t be there forever. Eventually he will be replaced, and hopefully that replacement will make decisions more favorable to the fans.
Blackrock and Vanguard should be calling for his dismissal after yesterday. The heat he's been facing is gonna effect them, he's insuring talents, creatives, companies and shareholders want nothing to do with WBD. He's getting the unwanted attention of congress, he's violating the Federal Trade Commission Act. He's a liability who needs to be thrown under the bus.
Here’s another possibility: maybe the executives at WBD WILL see finally see the finished film and realizing how good it actually is, will change their minds from there.

While I don't personally believe that it would have been better than the original shorts from back in the day, I really was excited to see this film and would have bought the DVD asap if I hadn't had the chance to see it in cinema. The title enough would have got me interested as well as my favourite Looney Tunes characters getting their own movie. WB should be ashamed.

Let me see if I have this right, after everyone cancelled their meetings with Warner Bros., they suppossedly shopped around Coyote vs. ACME demanding $75-80 million which was the budget of the film; Netflix, Amazon and Paramount weren’t willing to pay that much so Zaslav’s going to erase a movie he’s never watched for a tax right off of $30 million which was less money than the sudios were offering.🤔😤
Zaslav is a moron. He's bad at business, they got some nitwit that ran a bunch of tacky reality channels, and he had a power trip. He doesn't know what he's doing. The shareholders are complacent, they're making money off WB's corporate welfare (that WE pay for, BTW). Hell, they released 3 movies AT THE SAME TIME this December. Within a week of each other. That is the DUMBEST decision I've ever heard. I just want to ask what the hell does this guy want? He wants everyone to buy the streaming service, but he wants everyone to go to the movies, but he wants to dump movies into theaters FOR the streaming service unless it's this film.
They have been lying to us about saving the movie so they could disguise themselves as good guys and man, they really had us fooled.
Once WB got away with the first two, it was clear they were going to do more tax write offs. Previous former projects were unceremoniously dumped at the end of seasons but this new model of absolute deletion for 30% of the costs is so calculated that it must be tearing the "all film is ART! Damn it!" crowd to pieces.
Me, I'm more pragmatic. You don't want to sell it for a loss and have it turn out to be a hit. How did the boycotts play out after people complained about Batgirl and Scoob? Oh, right, they didn't care so the boycotts didn't happen. The AUDIENCE didn't care. Well, boo freaking hoo to you too.

Maybe this whole thing where indie studios and creators would probably result in a repeat of the 1960's to 1970's, when the "New Hollywood" era was being born; maybe more people will leave the executives' abusive relationships and result in another collapse of the studio system. Maybe Warner Bros. Discovery would end up purchased by Amazon or another company, reflecting the old studio system's collapse that started probably since the late '50's, when RKO released the infamous "John Wayne as Genghis Khan" film "The Conqueror", its owner Howard Hughes not knowing what he was doing getting RKO sold to a *TIRE* company, and "The Conqueror" failed to make back its bloated budget, making RKO the first of the "Big Five" studios of what was formerly Hollywood's Golden Age to either go defunct or be sold to another conglomerate, with RKO going defunct in 1959. Afterwards, Universal was purchased by Music Corporation of America (MCA) in 1962, Transamerica purchased United Artists in 1967, the same year saw Warner Bros. merge with Seven Arts Productions (forming Warner Bros.-Seven Arts, which was purchased by Kinney National just 2 years later), and Paramount was purchased by the Gulf and Western conglomerate in 1966 (though after Paramount's acquisition by Gulf+Western in 1967, their animation studio, Famous Studios shut down, and Warner Bros.-Seven Arts' animation studio followed suit in 1969 after Kinney's purchase. This led to the end of classic-era Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies with their 1,000th short, 'Injun Trouble'. Hopefully, Amazon's acquisition of WBD won't lead to the closure of their animation studios, though it's very unlikely. One benefit of the Amazon/WBD merger would be the consolidation of MGM's film libraries under one conglomerate).
I'm trying not to exaggerate anything. This "collapse of the studio system" thing really happened. The results of the collapse meant that those young indie creators back in the day, which included such... relatively obscure names as *Francis Ford Coppola, George Lucas,* and personally my favorite among them, *STEVEN SPIELBERG...* were allowed to stretch creatively and become famous auteurs in their own right, thus resulting in films like "The Godfather", "American Graffiti", and "Jaws", as well as other people's creations that saw their releases in the last half of the decade prior, like 1967's "The Graduate" & "Bonnie and Clyde", and 1969's "Easy Rider" & "Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice". Who knows? Maybe before this decade is over, in one of those indie creators, we just might find the next-generation Spielberg or Coppola.

zazlav obviously hates animation and if he was the ceo of wb, he'd not only cancel all animation projects, but he'd also shut down all wb animation studios, make all animated IPs a tax write-off and make sure nobody can make any animated wb stuff ever again
Hot take, but I think Warner Bros is worst company than Disney. I also think WB causes that creative bankrupt with reuses to make something original or success at both critical and commercial. You also studios like Disney cancelling their movies for a tax-write off. If they delete something like Elio. They knows could causes serious consequences to everyone, including within that studio. Which I frustratly confusing how why WB keep doing this act, despite of self-harming the enitre company. I definitely think the US Congress should investigate the company, and should make tax-write off for complete-made films or TV-series Illegal.
