My 2 cents as being in Product role for about 8years. Tech product manager and Product manager is vanity titles. It all depends on the company. PMs are responsible for solving problems and generating stakeholder value. I have managed API as a product manager but I was mostly working on GTM activities for 6 months, then next 6 months I work with technical teams to build new products. Ultimately it’s the company. More established companies like Amazon might have separate roles just to filter out applicants. Good guide though!
