Soooo...what if he did all those suggested things on his original mouthpiece? Not saying Lotus gear isn't top notch!! I know way too many great players using Adam's stuff! I'm just wondering if there isn't a little more something about concepts of sound production, and being reminded about playing efficiently and in the center of the horn PRIOR to changing gear? That's all I'm saying.
Adam created LOTUS in direct response to Monette sticking to his philosophical guns with regards to throat sizes and backbore tapers. The only purpose such a video would serve would be to confirm that Adam prefers what he has created for himself. The points of difference are clear: LOTUS are a lot easier to play in terms of endurance and have at worst the same level of intonation accuracy (but keep it farther into the upper register) than Prana and have a more full and resonant tone....that can be tweaked to default warmer or brighter with one of three alloy options.
@@trumpetrumept Adam was a long time Monette Artist. He left to create LOTUS and make gear that he prefers. There is no need for a video like that because what we are doing does't compare to what Monette is doing. Where are happy to recommend a model for you to try that compares to what you have now.

Hello Adam! Would you help me ? I'm a trumpet student and I have thick lips... both the lower and upper are huge. I use a 1 1/2c mouthpiece, but I still don't feel comfortable... would it be interesting if I use a larger size like 1 1/4c or 1c? Or should I review something in my playing? I thank you! God blesses.
He didn't have a C and ours is just being finished right now. The point was to test mouthpieces and complicating things with transposed fingers was not a necessary complication to add.
Nothing wrong with the sound of his 1.5. Players should switch when it makes their playing easier and when they find a better way to get the trumpet to match the sound in their head, regardless of the mouthpiece. Audience could not care less. I love watching the players play but I cannot stand Adam's input. I'd love to see a blind comparison between Lotus, Monette, Back, Adams and whoever else wants to participate. I will wager there is little to no difference or preference.
Jack Lyons is a BEAST. Glad I got to spend some time with him at FSU before graduating
Just ordered a 2L HC and 8 weeks delivery cannot come quickly enough. I’m pumped to give these pieces a try!
I think the Bach sounds just as good but has a different tone. IMO
Very good player. Sounds great.
Not only are great for trumpet nerds, but adam shows some serious salesmenship skills 🤔
having watched a few of these I'm thinking it's about 80% salesmanship.
That Nickel silver pops so beautiful ❤️
Nice upper resonance and the core sound is focused and consistent.
Lotus sounds smoother and sweeter. I like!

Have been struggling to choose either 2L or 2L2 for long.. Is 2L better if preferring sharper rim shape/higher alpha angle?
Please do a video comparing lotus and Monette mouthpieces because Adam has knowledge of both worlds. 🤓🎺
Agreed, I have a Monett Resonance and would like to here a comparison by him

Bach 1 1/2 C Good! Lotus commercial move?
Lotus 1L2HC Brass is the direct comparison. 1L2 Brass if you prefer the "symphonic" throat/backbore setup.
@@lotustrumpets6739 I play on a Wadge mouthpiece! For me, this is the best mouthpiece.
