Controversy or not, this girl sings with the soul and the most I like about her songs is that they lead me directly to worship my God, I do not follow Lauren , I follow Jesus and the bible says that God can use even the stones so that his word comes and does the work for which it was sent. God has given his love freely and I believe, I love, I forgive, I pray-thank you Jesus for your unending love , grace, and the gift of forgiveness. A line in a song by MercyMe reminds me too-some say He's keeping score, so try hard then try a little more. But hold up, if this were true, then explain to me what the cross is for....GOD loves us unconditionally, without having to earn our way into his heart and kingdom. PRAISE GOD!!!

It is always the simple yet repetitive, meaningful lyrics that pack a powerful punch to my gut. The first time I listened to this song (today), I had to replay over and over. I find peace in GOD presence
This song really speaks to me. I've depressed for so long. For so long I've believed that I'm worthless yet the lord says in Isaiah chapter 43 that he would trade people and nations in exchange for me and you not only that Jesus died for me and it's not like he didn't want or he was forced to, no he wanted to because he loves us that much. We've done nothing to deserve our father's love but yet loves with all his heart. THANK YOU JESUS!!! I'm depressed anymore.

I was battling forgiveness with my narcissist mother and supposed future husband. People who hurt me. God told me if I dont get this, I get nothing. I watched alot of videos on forgiveness even wrote down what was done and burned it to release it but then..... I heard this song and it literally helped me open my eyes. Tears ran down my cheeks of freedom. I cried out and God said no matter what people do choose love today. He gave it to me is my testimony to give. God said these words "WAVE LOVE LIKE A BANNERED TODAY!!!!" HE SAID STAND UP FOR LOVE TODAY. I THOUGHT IT WAS SOMETHING I was giving in vain. He said this is for you,,, this is for freedom. It is a very sad confirmation that there is a faction of the christian community that will always judge, find fault, criticize, and spread falsehoods because something or someone who doesn't fit into their box of beliefs, yes that's you @DANG JOS!! I thank God daily that as Jesus Christ God did not exemplify those negative traits. Love, Compassion, Forgiveness were the main focus of Jesus' teachings. Those christians who cloak their hate, jealousy, envy, and disdain within scriptural quotes, which by the way are not direct quotes from Jesus, is not only alarming but repulsive.
In the Gospel of Matthew chapter 25, 34-46
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
These fake hypocritical christians will be held accountable for their dark ways. Lauren Daigle is a breath of fresh air! She embodies true christianity. Her music is just one part of her mission. She speaks freely about Compassion, Forgiveness, Love for others, and Kindness. She has touched people profoundly!! She speaks to their hearts!! There was one young man who did not believe in God and he listened to Lauren's song "You Say" and he started crying!!! If that's not powerful I do not know what is!!
