I cant believe how there are still glitches like the bounces on landing and so many other issues and they only seem to make more maps but ignore the community half the time someone speaks out on it all
This DLC and the TMNT area are incredibly neat and detailed, but they're not at all the type of spots i'm interested in. Still holding out for another city or some expansion to either Philly or SF or something to that effect.
They've admitted to the fact they won't be recreating real life spots anymore because it's too much of a hassle and will be creating more spots that aren't real life locations
@@PitBullPlaysGames I mean at this point in time why would you even want a console over a PC? A PS5 is 500 bucks, you can get a solid gaming computer for 1000 and play any game that you want on it between emulators and xbox game pass and a desktop computer is a hell of a lot more useful than an xbox.
@@wolfsteythat didn’t age well as they made a school map with all real life spots, I mean it’s multiple spots in one map, but they are still real spots.
@@5hif7yx86 I couldn't disagree more. They need to focus on vert, drop ins, board throw-down animations, etc before adding online. Smooth the actual game out first. I don't even personally see what you would do online, and the whole "live-service" concept for skate 4 is why I will not be playing it at all.
@@173jaSon371 Yeah i get what your saying. I just want to be able to play with friends though. When i say online i more mean multiplayer. Just being able to have friends in the same session. But yeah theres a lot of other things to get right. I don't see why they cant do both. The animations, vert, throw-downs etc will take time for them to put together. The ability to play multi player should be a fairly fast thing to put in the game. Let hope there doing something instead of doing what what ever easy day studios are doing..
I get developers need to get paid and all, but that first DLC that required $20 for a single map and some cosmetics have pretty much scared me from the game entirely. All the media in our lives now demand an extreme amount of time and money to the point where I run at the first sign of anti-consumer practice as there's just not enough of me to go around. I'm not accusing crea-ture or Nacon of doing this specifically, just knowing that any new content is going to come with a $20 price tag minimum put enough of a sour taste in my mouth that my interests and attention has prioritised elsewhere. That said I still pop in to you and others like Kiiba & JL to keep an eye on what's going on in the game, so thanks for what you do!
Gaming has truly gone to shit in recent years, really in the last 8ish years. Now you aren't actually buying a game, but a masked storefront that gets you to spend tons of money on stuff that should just be included in the game releases.
@@173jaSon371 if you want to be honest, with the way the world economy is nowadays... video games should could near 200$ each. That would be if just keeping up with inflation, and not factoring time and expanse of games at all. But we gamers are too fickle, too cheap, so they know they can't put out a game for 200$ and we be ok with it, even if it includes everything day 1 and polished to the max. So instead they drip feed it to us, give us multiple 5-20$ additional purchases so we can get them closer to that 200$ if we really dig the game. Also... bonus B for game makers today and dlc still releasing months to years later, is the fact America is absolutely ADD and love to bounce from thrill to thrill. If they drop a game day 1, complete, no more content, then that game fades into obscurity within months(if lucky). DLC packs get it back at the top of new releases, gets new purchases and keeps the name fresh on more people's minds for longer...
In my opinion not really. All the DLC maps so far have been abandoned themes with no life. Some spots are fun but theres still spots and items added that just dont gel well with the games physics and lack of vert atall. Mix that with no multiplayer and the fact JL confirmed that the animator they hired didnt pass the initiation phase and now they need a new animator again... the future of Session is looking as bleak as XL's did. Thank god for modders.
I was buying dlc:s to keep the game alive, but then they haven't made any gameplay changes in a long time so I stopped. Last straw was that they said they are not planning to hire a animator for now (they said it in the comments.) I went back to modded Skater XL cause it feels more fluid. Transition skating in Session is not good.
Absolutely not! EA sat still not releasing Skate 4, leaving a fully open runway for other developers. So what did Crea-ture and Easy Day do? Completely screwed their opportunity and released total trash without any plans to finish. Everyone is talking about the failure of The Day Before, and these empty games are just the same. Unfinished game that relies only on PHYSICS which they also haven’t even completed! Literally this physics tech demo doesn’t even have the physics completed. So of course they couldn’t offer anything else cause they suck at what they do!
And the new skate game looks terrible too. Session is fun but could be way better if it was in the hands of a big company that also cared about making an in-depth game with less arcadey features. But we will never get that because the new Skate will be a live service, free to play, microtansaction filled shitfest unfortunately. They're too busy focusing on getting people to buy stuff in-game and adding parkour to focus on improving the overall game play. Skate 3 was actually somehow much worse than 1 or 2 and now we had to wait 15 years for what looks to already be insanely underwhelming.
All bs aside.. this game is getting really boring. At least for me on console. No community maps or customization. Stuck to the same spots since release. This map doesn’t do it for me. It’s better than the water park but not by much.
Ik sick of being the bottom of the barrel on console:( “oh we’re a tiny team” that’s why you allow mods so people that play your game and who are more passionate about making maps do it for you! I played skate 3 for my whole life guess what? 300+ maps made never bored of the game cause I could make whatever I wanted. Imagine thousands of people doing that publishing their map like why not take that route why make us wait 3 months for a mall and waterpark
£7 in the uk. its a little steep for the size of it. Considering the waterpark was £10 but came with decks and gear and chris coal missions. plus it was maybe 3 times the size.
Do you play with manuel catch or auto? This video is giving me auto catch vibes lol. Didnt see one flip trick not get catched. I'm genuinly just curious
"genuinely just curious" more like you're trying to insinuate that you're better because you don't use it, or you wouldn't add the "genuinely just curious". Pretty sure you're being entirely disingenuous for no reason here. And can't even spell manual or genuinely, on top of that. I'm genuinely curious if you attended a public school through grade 12, just curious.
both as a consumer and skate sim participant why should we have to compromise (GAME OR GRAPHICS) (SKATER XL VS SESSION)-when the sim portion ain't even as sim as it could be. You're a child and should grow up if you use this argument one more time. Playing the game doesn't even feel up-to-date in terms of a skate sim. Vert and grind-able objects need improvements. I dare say something along the lines like session... Even at that these teams aren't prioritizing gameplay and basic mechanics before begging for money to sell the community more maps, instead of selling US the game both of these teams promised. This is nowhere near a AAA experience with Skater XL nor Session. AND IF AINT AAA at least give us a true sim experience with an indepth gameplay loop that feels real and challenges the player to become a skater or enjoy the sport/art for what it is. A difficult damn near impossible to start game but gets fun and more advanced options start to open up but no it's moon gravity and session it's bugs or lack of overall if session had grabs and an animation system implemented it'd be in contention to hold the crown.
I’m highly disappointed in this game as a whole , the core game itself is super unfinished and they try to hide it with these bull crap dlcs.. skate 3 has better animations and more for a old game compared to this session crap
Dude Session has like 10 or 20 people working on it lol EA had hundreds working on a game with likely an enormous budget, and I don't even think the Skate series was as successful as they'd have liked.
