Hearing Dawko address what a reaction video is makes me sad because I've seen people complaining that he overexaggerates, but honestly, I love his reactions because he always gets me hyped up for upcoming games and that. Seeing him generally enjoy something and pick out tiny details shows he's passionate and I don't think many youtubers are like that anymore.

Vanessa knows WAY too much for someone who's supposedly just investigating this cold case on the side. I know Afton is still alive during this movie, but what if she's working for William like Vanny in Security Breach? Not brainwashed by the Glitchtrap virus, obviously, but still.
EDIT: Okay, now Vanessa claims that the animatronics want to make Abby "like them," which we obviously know isn't true. The dead kids want to kill William, but Mike doesn't know that. I theorize that Vanessa is deliberately feeding Mike false information so he'll be more inclined to destroy the animatronics to protect Abby, allowing William to tie up the last loose ends to his crime spree while keeping his hands clean. To everyone else, it will just look like Mike snapped and destroyed the animatronics in an act of vandalism.

I actually think it could make sense for Mike to still be William’s son but not recognize him.
If William and Mike’s Mom separated while Mike was young, he probably wouldn’t have a very good memory of him, let alone recognize him a decade or more later, especially if he’s using a fake name.
I guess really though, we’ll just have to wait and see. Super excited to see what this movie has for us.
I was thinking along the same lines. What if Mike had repressed memories of the what happened when was younger and the more he works at Freddy’s the more they come back in the form of the nightmares.

I'm under a heavy assumption that Vanessa is a long for Williams plan. Cause she stated herself the police combed the place top to bottom and never found anything. Yet she just happened to know that the animatronics houses the children's souls. Something only very few characters in canon knew about or she was is a honest officer and dug more into the story and figure out the truth that wounds her up in the hospital.

I'm leaning more towards Vanessa is just a really good officer and was originally just trying to investigate further, but then on her quest to find more she ended up getting controlled by William Afton...maybe lol and if not then I'm curious to know why she would be telling Mike all this
Funny that you pointed that out because that's what I thought. I wondered how Vanessa knew exactly that the children were still here despite no evidence of that being true. Like, for all they know, the children could have escaped the pizzeria through a back door or something when they were reported missing. Vanessa just evidently knew that they were there and possessing animatronics when she herself said that police literally checked every corner, which, would make me feel inclined to agree with you.
Theory about Mike seeing the kid being driven away: thinking in a movie way, what says that that's not him being taken away? Maybe William Afton is still his father, but with the kids disappearing (and possibly Mike's brother/crying child), Mrs Afton separates from William and takes her remaining kids to keep them safe. Mike being just a kid at the time just blocks most of it out, even his father, being so traumatized, but being a security guard at Freddy's is bringing it all back and he starts having dreams about the missing kids and being taken away...
And explaining why William isn't Springtrap yet... Maybe he gets springlocked in the movie... 👀

We will have a Saw like ending where we find out Mike's last name is actually Afton, we get flashbacks of a younger Mike with William Afton, his father, William's reaction to the Bite of 83. William and his wife divorcing, and the final shot will be of William becoming Springtrap

I think, much like the books, the animatronics only seem hostile at first glance, but in fact they’re trying to protect Abby from Afton. Mike is highly likely still the lost son of Afton. The whole family could’ve dissolved after the initial tragedy in ‘83 and thrusted Mike and Abby into the child protective system which led to them being adopted. The animatronics are attacking Mike and other security guards and adults because they no longer trust adults at all.
That's a pretty interesting idea, and if the kid Mike sees in the car being taken away is himself instead of a sibling it could be true.

I am mostly excited to see Matthew Lillard portray William Afton. Matthew can play a villain, not just the good guy. One of my favorites playing in a movie I’ve looked forward to for years now.

In my opinion, Vanessa is an accomplice of William at this point already. The animatronics don't ACTUALLY want Abby to be like them, Vanessa is just saying this as a coverup for the crimes William commits in the suit. They have no clue the original animatronics would double as a suit as well, so it makes sense.
My theory is that the animatronics are actually very friendly with Abby, but hostile towards Mike. I find that so cute and sweet, I really hope we get to see a lot of screentime with Abby and "them" interacting.
well considering the fact that Golden Freddy gets into a fricken cab with Coryxkenshin and also has a shot of him in front of the pizzeria with Abby at his side probably shows a lot about the nature of at least Golden Freddy. The others I'm not so sure about, but I suppose we'll see

Literally all that's missing here is a spot from Markiplier. He played a huge role in skyrocketing the game to where it is now, though I understand since he's strayed for the most part from the gaming side for his own personal projects.

Markiplier and Mat Pat are 100% going to be in the movie. Those are the two that, from the start, I've been confident would show up at least once. Now that Cory got his cameo, I'm even more certain. While I'm at it, I'd be surprised if Scott himself didn't show up in the movie. I know he's directing it, but he'll probably make an appearance somewhere too.

if you look at the cast the kid is named garret.
but the actor who plays young mike posted a picture with the actor that plays garret and referred to him as his "brother" which is interesting since they're not related irl.
so that implies that mike is in fact, michael afton and this garret kid is the younger brother /crying child.
foe the mike not seeming to know william is his dad part i also have a theory. if mike is in fact michael afton, and garet is his younger brother, there's a big chance that mike suffers from trauma induced amnesia after the bite of '83. it is a common thing that people will repress memories from a traumatic event and from before that. so if mike killed his brother there's a big chance that he just repressed his childhood.
Especially if we assume all communication was done by phone and they never met face to face.

I am SO hyped for this, hearing Dawko's excitement is SO contagious! Dawko is definitely deserves the "Employee of the month" award 👌
I think it might be a red herring that the animatronics want to turn Abby into one of them- at least not willingly. As far as the games are concerned, the animatronics were originally always docile around kids, but more violent or agressive near the adults if my memory serves me correctly. With spring bonnie present, it may be possible that the Freddy crew is trying to scare off or at the very least protect Abby from the one whom they know killed them- Afton. With this trailor we only see the animatronics act violent around other adult characters. While Abby seems to be scared and in hiding, these moments could also be clips from a scene she is evading Afton in the suit but merged with scenes from the other band members. As previously stated, the animatronics might not be initially villains per say but could be influenced by Afton being there, causing them to have an internal battle of soul vs programming. Overall, I believe it is possible that the animatronics are not entirely evil.
i completley agree i think there is the classic misdirect from the trailers for common audiences. the animatronics try to scare abby away but the adults don't know that so maybe its a mutual aggression. only for the reveal that afton is the real danger later in the movie

I think Dawko being an employee of the month is awesome along with other content creators. And I have a theory that there will be the springlock failure scene, because people say that Matthew Lillard confirmed that he is going to say "I always come back" in the FNAF Movie! So excited!
I think there's still a possibility that Mike is Afton's son, considering the fact that William seems to have changed his identity, so when Mike is signing up for the job he probably doesn't realize that's his father on the other end
And their father going by a fake name would partially explain why Mike is Abby's only caretaker

Looking at the trailer, I think that the shot of Mike looking at the car with the kid on the back is a repressed memory. Maybe that's him, being taken away from his home by his mom, away from William? Assuming of course this is Michael Afton, and not simply just Mike Schmidt, who in that case, would just be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Maybe that's either him luring the five kids away to kill them, back in the 80s, or it's William using the suit again to silence the ones who are too close to the truth (Mike and maybe even Abby), independently of Mike being his kid or not.
My theory: The being driven away is Evan / CC. It symbolizes him being taken away from Mike. Golden Freddy has only one eye lit up (the blue one), and blue connects to Evan. His other eye isn’t red, and red refers to Cassidy. It shows that only Evan possesses Golden Freddy here. Abby is a stand in for Elizabeth, so that’s why Abby is close with him- they’re siblings.

OKAY, I just realized and I'd like to point out, because I'm not sure if it's coincidence. Dawko was given Employee of the Month in July. July is when Dawko uploaded his successful 50/20 run 4 years ago.
I'm 80% sure that by the end of this movie, or in a post credit scene, we're gonna see Afton get springlocked and return as Springtrap in either the 2nd or 3rd movie.
But why do we see him in the trailer?

Can we collectively as a community thank Blumhouse and their editing team for fixing the issue of the entirely red eyes so soon! They saw an issue the community had and did what they can to fix it, trying to keep true to the fans!
The red eyes are in the books….Red eyes mean controlled…white means possessed…people who have a problem with the red eyes obviously don’t know anything about the lore

This isn’t a new thing this stuff has happened in the games, and your acting like it didn’t!

What about that same mini game you talked about where baby is in the fnaf 4 bedroom, that’s clearly not canon. There are parts that are based on canon and parts that obviously aren’t. And again, Dave isn’t the name of William Afton and he was spring locked in the game before the book, so in that case the book is being based off the game lore. And again, Scott said openly that the books are not canon. So you saying “it’s in the books just learn the lore” doesn’t mean anything.

I think it's an alternative take on Fnaf 1 with Mike Schmidt not bein Michael Afton. William appears to be Mike's "Phone Guy" in the movie. Likely not giving night instructions, but I feel like the shots are deliberate. I am not sure if the backlash about the eyes got them to change thier color (it's most likely a post processing effect anyways), but this trailer is amazing. What concerns me a little is the Springtrap suit. While in the games it appears to be just a torn up green suit, it's supposed to be moldy and withered in reality. Here it looks like a well made costume deliberately looking like the iconic Springtrap. But that's probably negligible, because putting a bloody and moldy suit with a torn up body inside in the movie would likely not be fitting the age category. A realistic springtrap would probably be 18+.
Just noticed this is likely not supposed to be Springtrap in his Fnaf 3 state, so it's even better
this is 30 years before FNaF 3, when Springtrap has rotted to the extremes, if it takes place at the same time as FNaF 1. So it makes sense that it's still just a slightly withered Spring Bonnie

I think the movie wants you to believe that the animatronics are trying to kill the girl. But I think they actually want to protect her from afton getting to her first. Luring her to the pizzeria by golden freddy so William afton doesn’t break in or kill her making it harder for him to get to her

Im really hoping the movie will end with William getting Springlocked, and then theres a post credit scene. It would show Michael AFTON (not Mike Shmit) entering the office and hearing the iconic "Hello? Hello hello?" From Phone Guy. Then it goes through a crack in the wall, into the safe room and Showing Springtrap moving franticly like he does in the FNAF 3 trailer.
That would be so great. I hope we see/hear Scott in the movie. This franchise wouldn’t exist without him after all.

To be honest, I think there still is a possibility that this version of Mike is Mike Afton. Let's, for instance, say that he is; maybe he was seperated from his father at a young age, which would explain both why he didn't recognize William's voice on the phone, and also explain the absence of parents and that fact that he has to take care of Abbie. Maybe then the kid in the car is Evan Afton, and that links to the bite etc., and finally, Abbie can be short for Elizabeth, completing the Afton Children? Just a thought, there are a few things that don't add up, but it could potentially work.
The cameos of all the fnaf content creators is great. I hope one day Mark gets a chance to cameo in the future.

Theory 1: I have a theory that Steve is like the phone guy in the story. He knows everything but doesn't want to share it. The way William died was different this time. He didn't mess with the animatronics but went straight into the suit. This changes what happened in FNAF 1 and 3.
Theory 2: In my second theory, when Steve found out that Mike was getting closer to uncovering the truth, he wore the suit again to kill him. He chased Mike over the place. But then, a drop of water got inside the suit and crushed Steve, turning him into Springtrap. If this happens, there might be a sequel to explore what comes next.

I personally think the animatronics are trying to *protect* Abby. Of course, Golden Freddy and Abby are friends, but take note of the shot with Abby and Foxy as well. Foxy's eyebrows narrow as he *turns away* from her, looking at something or someone. Maybe he thinks Mike is a threat to Abby, which leads to Mike getting scratched?
Another key point of evidence for this is something from the games I've always found interesting. In the FNAF 2 Night 4 phone recording, Phone Guy says "...The characters have been acting very unusual, almost aggressive towards the staff. They interact with the kids just fine, but when they encounter an adult, they just.. Stare..." It can be inferred that the Toy animatronics were possessed, thanks to their sporadic nature and the SAVETHEM minigame, so this might mean that the souls are protective over the kids and aggressive towards adults, because they see all adults as threats thanks to William.
If the animatronics are protecting Abby from Mike, who they probably see as just another William, it's definitely going to make getting her back difficult for Mike, and I'm excited to see the dynamic between Abby and the others.
Considering Dawko’s energy, him being an employee of the month makes a lot of sense honestly

I remember that in the books foxy took Jason into his pirate cove to protect him but every one else thought that he was trying to hurt the kid. What if, just like the books, the animationics go against the adults and try to protect the kid, but they seem like they just want to hurt everyone? Could make sense with Abby and Golden Freddy having a sort of friendship relationship but all the animatronics seems to be aggressive toward Mike
If Mike *is* an Afton, he may be seeing himself being driven away by his mother. He didn’t see his father for years, didn’t know he went on to found Freddy’s, and only speaks to him on the phone while he’s using a fake name.
Probably he didn’t recognize William because he hadn’t listened his voiced for years
@@tgarsida yeah. Even if he sounds slightly familiar he wouldn’t assume it’s his dad. Different name, just a guy who helps him get a job. Why would his long lost dad be contacting him under a fake name from an employment office? It would be *crazy* to assume it was his father based on phone only contact. Hell, he might even see him in person and not realize, if he was as young as the kid in the car when he last saw him, he probably barely remembers what he looked like then, let alone a decade+ later.
I’m not saying he’s definitely actually Mike Afton, but I definitely think Dawko was too quick to shoot the idea down based on the phone call. If he *is* an Afton, all of these things can fit together. His mom takes him away at a young age, remarries or changes their last name, has Abbie either with Mr. Schmidt or out of wedlock, and eventually dies. Maybe she knows that William is responsible for the deaths and kills herself from grief or has a heart attack from surprise, or maybe it’s totally unrelated. Now Mike is living just with him and Abbie, trying to find work to secure a living for them both.
Also if he is an Afton it could explain the hidden rage he has* that gets him fired from his mall job.
*although if he isn’t and Dawko is right in thinking he had a younger brother who was a victim, maybe he has underlying rage and guilt issues tied to that. This definitely isn’t proof either way.

If you’ve seen the castings you’ll know that kid is named Garret in the movie, and that there is already a teenager with the character ‘Young Mike’. Also, the actor playing ‘Young Mike’ posted some months ago a photo of him with Garret’s actor saying “Happy to see my little bro again”. So that kid is 100% Mike’s brother.

I have a theory. She can explain the presence of Abby and Mike's parents in the cast of actors. Well if you rely on the games, then Mike is William's son, but in the film everything goes to the fact that this is not the case. But, this can be explained by the fact that after the death of Elizabeth, bitten, William could have had his parental rights taken away, and Mike was given to a foster family, who then had a girl, Abby. This is my theory and I think it has a chance to exist

The only thing I’m a bit iffy on is that it’s known that the animatronics have kids inside them? At least that’s what it feels like when Vanessa brings it up. Unless Vanessa is evil and in on it, then that makes sense. It’s just a bit weird that Mike finds out early on, instead of figuring it out by putting pieces together

But I gotta add in my own little theory ofc 😋 in forest at 22:17, I dont think that's any of the child spirits that are in Freddy's, I think the spirits are showing Mike being taken by his mom as a kid away from his dad (William as we all know). What amazing twist we would get if William was still Mike's dad in this but he doesn't remember him, so the spirits try to tell him by showing him. Idk I could be completely off 😂 but I only thought of that cause the kid in the car doesn't look like any of the other spirits we know are freddy and them.
