Hi friends, it's Joey from PBD. Thanks for watching our closet remodel video we did for Tim's Mom's master bedroom closet. Leave a quick note in the comments on your thoughts and if you have used the PAX product from IKEA. I love closet remodels and this one was a lot of fun to work with. Hello. Aww, thanks so much. I am really inspired by people who take on DIY projects and I have done so many of them that I love to help. Thanks so much for watching.
Impressive. That gap between the closet and wall will collect dust and an end panel would be nice to make it look more custom. Also can't believe you did this on your vacation!!
Wow you boys are definitely extremely handy you’re always working around the house great idea getting all this from IKEA it looked like it fit in just perfectly and then the last minute you got everything you needed love those storage boxes up top. That is one nice large walk-in closet
I wish I had this closet also. My mother-in-law is enjoying this closet in Florida. She is all moved in now so she probably has it filled with clothes and shoes. I am jealous for sure. Thanks so much for watching.
Looks great. How do you think this system compares with just building your own cabinets and shelves out of plywood or mdf considering price and quality?
You would have to check with IKEA for that. I know they don't officially make a corner closet so I am guessing that they don't offer a corner door. Luckily, this was in my mother-in-laws closet so we didn't need the doors. Thanks so much for watching.
I noticed you were on a ladder to install the closet rods; can she reach up to actually hang the clothes? I’m a little short so I’m going to keep that in mind. Nice work👍🏻
Yes, I had her reach up so I could figure out where to put the clothing rod just to be sure she could reach the clothes and get them down without having to get on tippy toes. Thanks so much for watching.
David, it was no problem. I did put a 1X2 behind the cabinets to take up the space on top against the wall. So they are bolted in tight and vertical. Thanks so much for watching.
No, The cabinets are sitting away from the wall because of the baseboard. It was my mother-in-laws house so I did not want to cut up the baseboard. If it was my house, I would have done that.

Didn’t you have to remove the baseboards?

Mandy Laprade Yes Tim’s mom loved it. Of course she was feeding us the whole time. :)
Looks great and fairly simple. I wish I had a closet room.

I dont know what is more wild - how TALL those closets are or that you worked that much on your vacation.
Wait till you hear the whole story!
Anything for mom!!
@@MurisaD1412 Exactly. And since it was my Mother-in-law, I wanted it to look amazing.

Sherry of the Camellia That’s all he got. We didn’t even ask. Ha.
Looks great. How do you think this system compares with just building your own cabinets and shelves out of plywood or mdf considering price and quality?
Can I put doors on the corner unit. If I wanted to or will they not fit right ? Your job is excellent
You would have to check with IKEA for that. I know they don't officially make a corner closet so I am guessing that they don't offer a corner door. Luckily, this was in my mother-in-laws closet so we didn't need the doors. Thanks so much for watching.

Thank you for this. How did you bolt the cabinets together?
How did you do the wall mounts if they weren't flush up against the walls? Looks good though.
I put a spacer behind the cabinets to fill the space. Thanks so much for watching
@@PlantBasedDads clever! Thanks
nice work. how tall are the ceilings ?!
I believe they are 9 feet I that house. They are at least 9 feet for sure, maybe bigger but I think its just 9 feet. Thanks so much for watching.
Did you have any difficulty securing it to thr wall without removing the baseboard
David, it was no problem. I did put a 1X2 behind the cabinets to take up the space on top against the wall. So they are bolted in tight and vertical. Thanks so much for watching.
What’s the square footage on this walk in closet?
It was a 10x10 room, so about 100SF total.
*GREAT*
Thanks for watching.

my question is the baseboard can stay?
I did leave them. I added a furring strip behind the top of the cabinets when I secured them to the wall.
Hi, how much does it cost to build this? Thanks
This configuration costs $1600.00.
@@PlantBasedDads thanks!
this is the husband's part of the closet lol
Yeah, he got a small little space on the left side. So sad. HA! Thanks so much for watching.
Love Pinterest
Bonnie, did you find this video from Pinterest? That is pretty exciting. Thanks for letting me know.
can you come on vacation to my closet?
My Mother-In-law loves this closet. It was actually fun to build. Thanks so much for watching.
