Thanks for all the info Wes. It makes my comic book hunting easier. We have about 99% the same taste in comics. So it makes my buying or avoiding way easier. We really do appreciate the authentic factor you put into your work. Keep it up Wes!
DC recently released a Nightwing Compendium that has up to issue 25 of the Dixon/McDaniel run and that Legion of three Worlds collection is by Johns and Perez
I'm a massive Squad fan. (Especially Ostrander's original run) . I already have managed to get all of the original issues but I may just have to pick up the omnibus just for collecting reasons lol
22:56 - I thought that was Neron on the cover of GL 21 for a second. Also, Lori Lemaris is a nice blast from the past. Last time I remember seeing her was in the 90s Superman titles. How can Batman Adventures 12 be a Facsimile edition, with that new weird action figure cover?
I missed these videos so much! Feels like my favorite TV show is back on the air after a long hiatus. DC has been good but yeah I'm definitely gonna be picking and choosing what I'll spend my money on. Also, anyone else find it weird that Philip Kennedy Johnson's new Superman book wasn't in the official solicitations but was in the DC catalog for March? As for my picks, here's the books I'm most looking forward to: 1. Green Lantern/Green Lantern Corps 2. Aquaman 3. Batgirl 4. Absolute Flash 5. Zatanna 6. Batman: Hush 2 7. Green Arrow 8. Batman & Robin 9. JSA 10. Superman
35:21 Just curious but what are you remembering Ian Flynn writing? I don’t recall him doing much outside of Sonic so I’m generally curious where you read anything of his before since I don’t think it was any of that.
This new Aquaman series is what’s getting me back into reading DC comics. Right now I’m finishing up reading Paul Dini run on Zatana. Hush is one of my favorite Batman villains so I’ll check out Hush 2.
5:22 Wow, look at all those ratio variants, 2 different signed ones at 608 issues bought, they both don’t sign the same one, they sign separate issues, so if someone wants both the shop needs to buy over 1,200 issues. And look at the different stock, the usual card stock but then there’s foil and the wraparound covers at $7,99 each for both. And then a foil by Murphy with a set $24,99 price.
All you need to know about Hush 2 solicitation is what DC deemed important. That is has 17 covers. What's the story? Yeah that wasn't important enough for the solicitations. WTF20.
@@Dev003x No that was not what I was implying. I'm just stating it was really weak on DC's part to play that game. Or if they wanted to keep the suspense up they should have used "Top Secret" or "Redacted" in the solicits. But I don't agree with what you said at all.
Hush revealing the truth after being betrayed by the whole world? where Batman drove him mad, if they do It right it could be the best Batman story ever leading Batman to a catharsis more bigger that all joker story, accepting how wrong he was for so many years hurting his friends
@@Sr.Green. Ugh...I don't need another Batman is the reason I am "bad" or whatever. I hope that's not it. Or if it is Loeb makes it better then the description.
@natemachado9113 In the case of Hush, Bruce leaves him aside and abandons him, in Bruce's words "I wanted to get in touch with him but my life had changed" Then Batman kills his love Poison Ivy and tries to kill Hush helping Joker because hush is too dangerous and is was the first time that almost loses alfred totally with arrest warrant Hush was always misunderstood by hatred believing that he was interested in money, when in Batman Hush, Hush criticizes him for the ability to spend said money "all that money becomes yours to spend" people understood that Hush likes money and in the same story he gives money to manipulate Huntress, for that, don't have any sense give money, if that is hush motivation, in this case he wouldn't use his money, obviously, but even hush use all his fortune in the plan, so that confirm that money was never his motivation... They never understood that Hush envies the freedom that Bruce always had to do what he wants (yes with this money, but is only an example, he care of the capacity of that, not money, hush reject money all time in his saga) and that he left him aside Thanks to all this hush haters, they don't understand the character and even attack an story that they don't understand neither, oh god, many people say that batman hush is bad and even don't read well batman hush is not a masterpiece but is a great batman story, and the "best story ever" to start with the bat universe
Wes did you ever read any of the Count Crowley books? They've been great by David Dasmaltian. Knights vs. Samurai has been kind of meh so far and I need to catch up on the Creature Commando issues.
2025 in entertainment for me Movies i care about: mission impossible and ballerina ( john wick universe) Tv shows: a knight of the seven kingdom (game of thrones spin off prequel) Comic book: batman hush 2
I’m hoping that challengers of the unknown gets some traction. Ditto for Aquaman. Justice league is still up in the air for me. Too much HAWKGIRL!!!! Hawkman is the interesting one!
I really hate dc for what they did to my boy Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy and it drives me crazy we are getting this awful story in secret six which is going to be garbage and not fun to read, and just proves my point more and more that dc should just give up on this imposter and say I don’t know let my boy Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy go back to his little 10 year old self and stop focusing on this terrible dreamer story and Jay nakamura character that nobody myself included gives a damn about but thats just my opinion.
Solicitations on top of every thing else is definitely a draw! There's actually a fair amount of good comics out there. Not so great for me, I'm trying to cut down (can't stop). There's a fair risk the house will crumble under my collections weight. Oh, and you just gave DC a sale - that Legion Deluxe issue!
DC are investing so hard in new titles after years of low sales. I hope that Batgirl book become successful enough for a long run. Cass deserves the better.I feel that Hush 2 will sucks.
I had low expectations for Absolute Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman - but I am enjoying all three so far. I will at least stick with them through the first six issues. Of them, Superman is the weakest for me. I was hoping the Green Lantern look and feel would kick ass, but it appears more weak ass from the art so far. Not inspiring. I may try #1 off the shelf rather than put on my pull list. Will definitely follow Jim Lee's run, if only for nostalgic purposes.
9:36 Geez, they’re going with Jo again for Green Lantern, damn, when will they ever give up on this character? No one likes them but they just keep pushing, it’s kind of hilarious. They basically say “we know you don’t want it, but here’s more Jo!!!”.
Why are some of these solicits so bad? They couldn't come up with something better than "What's left is the Absolute..." Literally makes it sound cheap and uninspired. It doesn't mean that the series will be bad, but that is just a terrible sell.
The latest 2-3 issues of Bird of Prey has been good plot wise. The earlier issues definitely pass. Damn I depised Tom King's WW. It's the worse story ever told. March don't sound like a good month for DC
Wes, the Hawkwoman teaming up with the Green Lanterns IS NOT the one appearing in the awful James Gunn movie. The one Gunn is using for DEI brownie points is the biracial Kendra Saunders as Hawkgirl. The one the Lanterns are teaming up with in Thanagar is the redhead Hawkwoman (the one from the Justice League Unlimited cartoons).
He is not bi calm down, it's anton who is bi bruce didn't even care when anton tried to flirt with him, the entire point of ghost maker was to show how opposite he is to batman , if bruce is a reserved and idealistic man and celibate by choice then anton is hedonistic.
The All in and Absolute titles are very good and as a result DC are making me visit my LCS every week for the first time in 7 years.
Superman should get a villain called Shush
Batman already has a Villain called Shush she’s in Batman and Robin
Superman already has a villain that was Hush a decade before Hush was a thing. It called Conduit and he's even a ginger like Tommy Elliot.
I was trying to reread Hush and I fell asleep after Harvey Dent was revealed. I realized I still dislike Hush story.
They already have that in Batman
Yeah harvey is a bad character @GeekpinEnt

Absolutely ridiculous.
21:26 Aquaman looks like he has the omega effect symbol in his eyes.
Suicide Squad by Ostrander is some of the best DC ever.
All you need to know about Hush 2 solicitation is what DC deemed important. That is has 17 covers. What's the story? Yeah that wasn't important enough for the solicitations. WTF20.
Unfortunately we are at a space where comics are now trading cards. No one cares what's inside.

Comic book: batman hush 2
I believe I'm second. God bless you guys. I'm only excited for Batman Hush 2. Everything else seems meh.
There's like 7 books I like from DC and that's all I am reading.
hush 2 will not be the end of the current series. they get 6 issues in 2025 then the final 6 issues of HUSH 2 will come in 2026
God, so the full 12 issue run will take 2 years, well, I suppose it’s better than waiting 3 years for CyberFrog 2.
Wait so we will get another story arc in between hush 2?
What is Hush gonna do? Also why are the Court of Owls still a thing. Somehow all the wet work agencies or other villians never cleaned them out?
I'm excited. DC has been way better than Marvel. Book Of El!
metamorpha the elephant. loooool feudian slip
I’m hoping that challengers of the unknown gets some traction. Ditto for Aquaman. Justice league is still up in the air for me.
Too much HAWKGIRL!!!!
Hawkman is the interesting one!
Definitely best Suicide Squad run.

15:35 Oh my God, look at the 3 characters behind Wonder Woman, look at their bodies, that’s male.

Batman Hush was fine but it gets carried by the Jim Lee art. The story is meh.
Less Catwoman and more Hush would have helped the comic.
I absolutely love Hush but yeah Jim Lee carries it. Not Jeph Loeb's best (telegraphed that Tommy was Hush immediately, would have liked better
@Vader_25 wtf the only thing good was the catwoman scenes with Bruce. Hush is a boring and lame villain
Style over substance...they tried to put too much into 12 issues, and agree there wars no real suprise at the end unless you count the ridder..
I keeping to the trades
Can’t wait to read Aaron’s book. I know that will be good.
DC are investing so hard in new titles after years of low sales. I hope that Batgirl book become successful enough for a long run. Cass deserves the better.I feel that Hush 2 will sucks.
I like Alex Segura on Dick Tracy. Not sure you have tried that yet.
I had low expectations for Absolute Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman - but I am enjoying all three so far. I will at least stick with them through the first six issues. Absolute Batman have a lot of childhood friends that turned enemies.
I have no hope for the Absolute Green lantern.
I'm first?! Cheers Wes 😄
Why are some of these solicits so bad? They couldn't come up with something better than "What's left is the Absolute..." Literally makes it sound cheap and uninspired. It doesn't mean that the series will be bad, but that is just a terrible sell.
There was already like 5 more hush stories. The hush 2 name doesn't make sense
The latest 2-3 issues of Bird of Prey has been good plot wise. The earlier issues definitely pass.
Damn I depised Tom King's WW. It's the worse story ever told.

Everything looks pretty good except the fetish comic
Absolute GL looks “woke” - female John Stewart knock-off
Absolute Superman is the most boring take of all the Absolute books.
Hush 2 is jus dumb and a really bad idea in my opinion
Just read more bull from screen rant...AI can assist but it shouldn't wrote entire articles.
Every month I like to see what DC facsimiles are solicited. They're usually fun and satisfy my collecting itch. (Only the regular cover, though.)
I don’t think I can ever read Batman after what Chip Zrdarsky did in Batman The Night making him Bi. And it’s in continuity!
He is not bi calm down, it's anton who is bi bruce didn't even care when anton tried to flirt with him, the entire point of ghost maker was to show how opposite he is to batman , if bruce is a reserved and idealistic man and celibate by choice then anton is hedonistic.
Wow, did the same person write all the descriptions? Some are terrible & less than vague, then you get 3 paragraphs for Peacemaker.
You call this fun? 😂😂😂
