    I put some LEDs on my setup as well. Two over the flashers and two shining back. I had the same issue as one of your commenters with them blinding me but I made a couple of guard plates for the problem was solved. All stuff I bought off amazon and the setup works great. Enjoyed the video..

    Good video. Thanks for the shout out! I read of guys talking that the led lights aren't all they're cracked up to be cause they don't reflect the same in the housing. Personally, I like brighter white. I think in the last 2.5 years there are now better led lights too. You just can't beat the 1025 size and it's turning radius.

      I’ve seen those same discussions, Bob. I question the value of it from improved lighting. I am more interested in doing it so all my lights match their color tone lol. I have so much equipment, I don’t know why I’m so hesitant to buy some light bulbs. Haha

      @@TractorHoarders Yes, when you have different color of light, that bugs me. I first did just my headlights. Then I noticed the fender lights were the older yellow color and replaced them.

    The lights, I think, mounted in the front of the tractor seem like they have a line at the top when you come up to a wall, like the Z beam headlights like we use to put in cars years ago.

    • @TractorHoarders
      @TractorHoarders  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Jim, I put on a UHMW edge about a month ago. For me, mostly on concrete, I don’t think it does that great of a job on leaving a clean surface. I’ll likely go back to AR400 steel again after this one. Sometimes if I’m in a bind, I will buy whatever I can get the quickest.

    • @TractorHoarders
      @TractorHoarders  2 роки тому +2

      Great question. I’ll probably share this in an upcoming video. I have a small handful of neighbors that ask me to come every time it snows 2” or more, at my discretion. Others in my neighborhood know about this service I offer, and they’ll contact me as needed to do it for a single snow event. Other neighbors, I know have personal or physical issues going on that prevent them from doing it, and I just go take care of it without any communication. To limit liabilities, I operate as a helping neighbor doing the work for free, but I am compensated well from donations. Thanks Hyatt!

      If you went into a business you could depreciate the tractor and deduct everything you buy for it. Liberty Mutual makes micro business insurance fairly easy. And what does plowing a Driveway cost in your area?

    There's something kinda thereapeutic about plowing snow with a small tractor . I have a 2019 2025r with a boom mounted Frontier blade . I wish I had a third function so I could actuate it from the seat like yours but it does fine . You must be up in elevation there to get snow still like that - we may have gotten our last good snow already here in Mich and I have the bucket back on now . Nice video .

    • @TractorHoarders
      @TractorHoarders  2 роки тому

      Hi Bryan. Yes, being able to angle the blade without getting off the tractor is great. I use it so frequently, even within a single push, that I’d be lost without it. I know adding the 3rd function is a little expensive but guarantee you’d love it if you ever go down that route.
      You’re right, I live at approximately 6500’ elevation near Denver. I expect we’ll get some more snow falls here over the next few months. I’m originally from the Dayton Ohio area, so not too awfully far from you.

    • @TractorHoarders
      @TractorHoarders  2 роки тому

      Hi Milton, I almost always plow in high, unless the snow is really deep and heavy. But even in those heavy snows, I feel like fast movement and momentum is more beneficial to me than more torque. I frequently spin my tires in low, but less so in high. Great question. Thanks!

    The first thing I did with my 1025R was to use the land plane on our approximate 1.5 mile gravel road in our development. Also as a helping neighbor. It worked great! It snowed later that night and some yahoo decided that it would be fun to sling snow and gravel around. Iy's been too cold and too much snow to go over it again. Supposed to be nice this weekend.

    Great video and camera footage! I would love to see a video with chains. I see you slip a little when pushing into piles. I use chains on my wheel horse and it doesn’t tear up the driveway or sidewalks as long as you don’t spin the tires. Thanks again for the video.

    Why do you plow towards the road? Don't plow trucks come by and just throw it back on sidewalks? Here if you plow in road you get ticketted.
