Not bad for 4s but how fast will that motor push it on 6s with that 20t pinion bro? I'm thinking of getting a motor in similar ballpark to your kv and adjusting the gearing for awesome speed and shit, no compromise but temps of the motor will be cooler because of less rpm. Is my logic good with the temps bro? I bet it will go 65mph + on 6s? I love my Kraton but on road it's a bit of a nightmare or too fast my eyes can't keep up with the bastard. On gravel it's normally lost in a cloud of dust and chippings lol have to wait for disperse. Best rc car chassis on the market I think buddy. Tough as fck once you got the right bits n bobs
Hey bro thanks for commenting. I have speed run videos with this motor and I'm not sure if I released the fastest video with that motor yet. Check the speed run playlist, and subscribe I got more speed run kraton videos coming that I need to edit. I think i got it to about 76mph can't remember what setup
@@therccollaborative9524 awww dude quit teasing lol I'll wait haha. What I'm thinking of is that the lower kv will be just as fast but more durable. Heat kills electronics. Lower the heat the slower the damage is my thinking bud. The differential gearing integrity will be tested 😏🤣
76mph is plenty fast for the Kraton but that's a pretty damn good result buddy. I'm more about getting the temps down when bashing and was contemplating getting a hobbywing 1600kv and putting a 22t pinion. Max speed should be over 60mph but the torque should be incredible?
If money doesn't matter, I'd either get a hobbywing 1650kv Max 6 motor and ESC combo, or a sensored Castle 1717 motor and ESC for the fanciest Kraton. Those motors are like big block V8's to an 8th scale like that. Beware of the new Kraton EXB limited slip differentials. If money DOES matter a little bit more, I'd go with any cheaper 4092 motor (with no less than 1300kv) with a hobbywing Max 6 ESC.
@@derekquinones8614 Can't call myself an expert, but a 4092 in 1480kv is on the edge of barely being able to run 8s lipo. I think; but don't depend on what I say. There are 4092's with less KV that can run 8s a little more easily. Ones with 1300kv, 1250kv, and Tomcat brand 4092's UNDER 1000kv that all have crap connectors. Having them converted from those crap banana connectors, to the proper 6.5mm bullet connectors are a pain. They all (4092's) sound impressive, (and are) but even they have their limits. Like combustion engines, there's no replacement for displacement. The Hobbywing Max 6 motor with ESC is a fair amount larger in diameter compared to a 4092, and will have more torque capability than almost any 4092; even WITH a higher KV like the 1650 as it is. The Castle 1717 is that 'big block' equivalent, also. These larger motors will fit in a Kraton, especially the EXB. I hope you bought your Hobbywing ESC from a reputable Hobbywing dealer/seller. A lot of asian sellers online sell em,' but Hobbywing says to not trust them. I've heard good things, and bad things about HobbyStar. Mostly good. 'RC Juice,' sells that product. Overall....the motor you bought should be enough. It should definitely outperform a 2050kv Arrma setup, and you were wise to get the 6th scale ESC. 👍 Good luck on your new rig. Be aware on things like differential shimming. Even an Arrma might need a good, fussy shimming. I'd convert an EXB Kraton's diffs to the previous (no limited slip) setup, and just put 1 million weight diff fluid in. Then silicone earplug putty from a pharmacy store, in the center diff.
Cast InTheName the hobbywing was bought from a local hobby dealer and my exb won’t be in my hands until the new batches come out in November with the fixed diffs, thanks for your input
nice man thats quick! wonder how my 4092 1530kv will run on 22t and 3s 120c 8400mah build? waiting on motor to ship.
I would like to see more “How to” videos for Arrma
I need a new arrma to work with if someone wants to donate to the channel I would love to make more videos

I do have 6s speed tests recorded just need to release them on video, coming soon

@@DaVeHiLl200 what I noticed is that yes lower kv is more torque but when you gear it back up and put heavy tires on it temps still get up there
I just ordered a kraton exb roller WHATS a good esc motor combo if money don’t matter I’ve only used stock arrma stuff ?

Cast InTheName I just got a brand new max 6 esc and a hobbystar 4092 1480kv motor for $110 I’ve never heard of this motor hope it’s alright ?
My local hobby shop is waiting on the updated exbs won’t be until November for the updated trucks so I have some waiting

Are those stock tires?
Yes sir
Are you done with nitro racing?
No I still race. Just released a race video
Riding low right?
hey, i have same leopard 1730kv with stock esc and 20t pinion but mine goes only 40mph, do you think that esc is the problem?
Could definitely be, bad bearings, bent drive shafts, unbalanced and or smaller tires could all have a negative effect
