Oh yeah I feel this, growing up in the Netherlands. I am in Manila now for a family visit and I feel so alive here. Don't get me wrong, I love the Netherlands and its cool weather, easy public transport and cleanliness, also their recycling, but Asia just satisfies and fills a hole in my heart. The beaches, the food, the nature. I don't have the funds to go back and forth every year, so I need to choose wisely.
It's the community feel

New subscriber here. Yes do that. Life is short. Enjoy traveling. Asian and ASEAN Countries are beautiful. Travel around before making a big decision as to where to settle down and choose your home base. I had visited NZ and AU last year, beautiful countries. One unsolicited advise for you both, DON’t make the same mistake that other foreigners made, COMPARING Asian/ASEAN Countries expecting them to be the same or better than their country. Just go travel, explore, admire the different cultures and traditions of each country and you’ll have an awesome time instead of com/com (comparing and complaining). There are good, bad, and.ugly in all places. But the best will come if you accept them as part of their uniqueness. SO, enjoy and travel safely. I’ll pray for you as you embark on this new phase /chapter in your life. 😊👍🏼🇵🇭🙏🏼

I am liking your blogs,and talking about w your history as Asians growing up in New Zealand. I totally get it. You may eventually want to check out Vancouver and Toronto where Chinese people are everywhere. Vancouver is like Asia has settled in a part of Canada. Do check it out someday.

Good for u guys I’m excited for u and your endeavours. I used to live in NZ and I did find it very laid back. Living in Australia now, nice but I agree with you I think u have more of a life in Asia because of the excitement. Having a place to go until midnight and beyond is something u cannot do here and in NZ. I sympathise with u guys hundred percent. I think this decision is the right decision for young guys like u. I wish u a happy and fruitful life in Asia.❤🎉❤🎉
