This really shows that the community is definitely a reflection of the content creator. I was feeling so lost that even being a f2p I was still enjoying the game and every content creator was constantly bashing the game for lack of endgame content or something. Of course, I also gave problems with hoyoverse but I just felt like bashing on the game and not enjoying it was the only thing some content creators and their community were doing. I am happy to see that someone is enjoying the lore aspect of the game and not complaining every 2 sec.
It's all about mindset. If you go into Genshin expecting to have a good time with each update, then after the content is done you either step away until the next update or get grinding, it's a great experience, but if you're expecting it to be like an MMORPG where you can play for hours and hours every day without running out of content, then you're going to be disappointed, because Hoyoverse isn't going for that and that's okay. There could definitely be more repeatable content in endgame, but I have a feeling the content creators will get bored of whatever endgame content they add whenever they add it, and when that happens they'll be back to acting like there's no endgame; they'll never be satisfied.

Everyone is saying that genshin is like 10 min of gameplay everyday but that's an aspect is like about it, that I don't have to give it too much time to enjoy it

Thank you for pointing this out, I honestly couldn't have worded this better but yeah it feels so refreshing to just come back to Arnold and regain all those positive vibes that have been sucked out of me from hearing all the negative comments some content creators and their communities have about the game. I understand Genshin has many problems but always hearing the same complaints have drained me more than said problems in the game itself.
This community is rotted to the core already. Content creators and a large amount of fanbase literally consume negativities for nutrition. Ya ever wonder why the likes of Tectone didn’t do well in a respectable community like Arknights lol?

Yelan being Skirk is not something I expected, but I'm fully onboard with that theory. It kinda makes sense, both Yelan and Childe use bows, both have a Hydro vision and both use Starconches to level up.

Its talking about her being Skirk as well, and the Hydro Yaksha and Skirk are one and the same, which explains Childe's incredible power. Did you all ever notice Foul Legacy: Devouring Deep is Childe having a power boost while Donning a mask? Yes.. Exactly. To all interested, that's a great vid and definitely something to ponder about if you guys like theory crafting!

This brings so many questions about Morax and Adepti. Despite Zhongli telling us that Xiao was the lone yaksha survivor left in this world in "Yaksha guardians" in teaser trailer, we now know that he is trapped(?) beneath Celestial Nail, and not to mention that weird lookin portal has Liyue/Adepti alphabet all over it, doesn't that mean that adepti concealed information regarding Celestial Nail and Electro Yaksha's fate to Xiao?
Either that or maybe Zhongli just assume that the other yaksha is probably just gone since they have been missing for hundreds of years. Celestia could have a part in it since Zhongli seems to be unable to speak anything regarding that topic due to his contract.

All of you poor kazuha-less travelers will get him soon enough, have patience 🙏
@vv mb90 I mean, you can choose to ignore the countless piles of signs hoyoverse has been leaving for Scaramouche being playable if you want to, but that doesn't mean they aren't there. (Not to mention the double banners have actually been recently altered, though nobody really noticed, to include the new characters with the rerun characters, unlike how they used to be when they first happened which was a rerun of two old characters together. Seems like an oddly specific change to maybe put potentially story linked characters together on a banner, just saying... )
you are so right honestly. venti had been due for a rerun for a long long time, and even though xiao and itto had banners relatively recently, they are an important part of this patch and their reruns make a lot of sense!! also a crack theory of mine lmao but if you notice on the arataki gang event, klee kazuha and yoimiya are gonna have their themes featured, and these are the three characters who are very VERY in need of reruns. 2.8 banners maybe? lol i was pleasantly surprised by the stream tho, i was NOT expecting a new archon quest and im super excited for it. glad to see the situation in shanghai is getting better too
I can see why you would be tempted to make the Skirk/Yelan connection, but as someone who is very interested in Skirk, I think it is highly improbable they are the same person based on the info we have. It is far more likely Yelan is related to the Hydro Yaksha imo I have a few reasons for saying this: 1. Childe has no voicelines about Yelan even though characters connected to her have them already. 2. Yelan does not match the descriptions of Skirk. Yes, Yelan has been to the Abyss and has different disguises, but Skirk is clearly a warrior rather than a spy. 3. Yelan and Skirk share none of the same motivations. Yelan is a gambler who likes to do things for her own purposes while Skirk has a clear motivation for training Childe and sending him back out. If Skirk was Yelan there would be little point for Yelan to do this and then go back out of the Abyss herself. 4. It seems to me like Skirk remains in the Abyss while she sends Ajax back out. 5. Yelan mentions being part of a clan and is from Liyue, but Skirk has been down in the Abyss for far longer based on the information. 6. I think it is more likely Skirk is from Khaenri'ah, or another lost nation that has been cursed like Khaenri'ah. There are more points I can make, but that is basically it. I would not be surprised if Yelan has met Skirk while in the Abyss however. That makes more sense to me. I predict Skirk is likely to be introduced in Snezhnaya when we get more of Childe/Tartaglia/Ajax's story. And to be more specific I guess she becomes playable between Act 6 and Act 7 of the story. I'm fine with being proven wrong, but these are my thoughts for now.
My ourburst was more of a "crack theory" than anything that would have any concrete evidence. I just like to throw ideas around and engage in a little tomfoolery with my community, lol. Another thing to consider is, Skirk is mentioned to be a "swordswoman" while Yelan uses a bow. I'm more towards leaning that she's either met Skirk, or has seen her from a distance while sleuthing!

there is still alot of misunderstanding in the chat, Mihoyo is NOT rename to Hoyoverse, Hoyoverse is a different entity with a different CEO, the idea is so Mihoyo which is still headed by Wei as CEO will concentrate on game development as a game studio, while the formal head of the board of director for Mihoyo will move to Hoyoverse as it CEO and serve as a publisher, allowing them to evaluate potentially expand option and acquire other IP/Studio. Mihoyo still exist as a company, only that they are no longer "indie" but is "working for" Hoyoverse. it is therefore not wrong to show your love and support for Mihoyo as they remain the developer of Genshin.
I wonder if the reason it took forever for Xiao's first rerun is because they might have been planning on releasing the Chasm before Inazuma but then went to Inazuma first. Xiao's Chasm story could have been told like half a year ago if that were the case.
I'm looking forward to the new version. The new events and story quest look awesome. I'm really excited about getting Yelan and Kuki Shinobu as well. I've been waiting for an electro healer to make an all electro team for a long time. Just need to do a ton of mora farming and I'm all set. It is funny how we've gotten 2 Xiao reruns since Kazuha's release. Let's hope 2.8 brings along his rerun as well as a glimpse of Sumeru and the artifact load-out system the player base has been asking for since version 1.1. It sucks that I'll miss out on Xiao again though. He, Klee and Ayato are the only characters I'm still missing. I lost the 50/50 on both Xiao's and Klee's previous banners and this time I don't have the primos/$$ to get both Yelan and Xiao and Shinobu.
when looking through the livestream I noticed something. For context, Dislyte, a new game only released a few days ago have been popping up in a lot of genshin youtubers' videos. In the game there is a section in the character menu called strategy where you can see how mot people are building their characters, and I've heard a dislyte youtuber say that he had not seen anything like this in any other gacha game before (not verbatm). Seeing genshin implementing something similar around the same time dislyte was released seems a but suspicious lol
I STRONGLY believed she was Columbina, the second Harbinger because of the MANY similarities they had, but then i learnt she'd been in liyue since she was a child, pain
I'm not sure if I wanna pull for Yelan yet since I'm saving up for Kazuha but I'm pretty hype for Kuki Shinobu. I'm not guaranteed so I'm hoping I lose 50/50 when I pull for her. I'm also pretty hype for the events. I didn't participate as much during the last rhythm game because of the lagging issues I've had so I'm so thankful they decided to add a calibration feature for it. And LET'S GO YAKSHA LORE!!! I've been itching for it since I did The Yaksha's Wish world quest back when I was still pretty new to the game. Thank god we're getting some! This patch feels a little bit more lackluster than usual (maybe because we got so much from 2.6) but I'm guessing they're going to make up for a bit more content next patch and hey, new content means I get to come back and enjoy this game again.
I'm just so happy I'm going to be seeing Xiao again involving with Liyue's lore but I am heartbroken at the fact that I can't pull for his c2 (not enough primos + currently on 50/50) T^T

As soon as they mentioned that they're doing a collab, I got excited. I was expecting another character like Aloy, but instead it was Funko Pops. Quite disappointing.
ppl should be patient about kazuha rerun. as mihoyo says reruns are tied in event and story. how can ppl blame mihoyo for not reruning kazuha when mihoyo knows they can make a lot of money with him. its bcs they care about the lore of the story not only to their profit. they cant simply put kazuha banner without any reasonable reason.
Then if they actually follow that rule "They think about the lore before putting a banner" How come Kazuha didnt get a rerun in 2.6, he was literally the main character of the Irodori Festival

1. Childe has no voicelines about Yelan even though characters connected to her have them already.
2. Yelan does not match the descriptions of Skirk. Yes, Yelan has been to the Abyss and has different disguises, but Skirk is clearly a warrior rather than a spy.
3. Yelan and Skirk share none of the same motivations. Yelan is a gambler who likes to do things for her own purposes while Skirk has a clear motivation for training Childe and sending him back out. If Skirk was Yelan there would be little point for Yelan to do this and then go back out of the Abyss herself.
4. It seems to me like Skirk remains in the Abyss while she sends Ajax back out.
5. Yelan mentions being part of a clan and is from Liyue, but Skirk has been down in the Abyss for far longer based on the information.
6. I think it is more likely Skirk is from Khaenri'ah, or another lost nation that has been cursed like Khaenri'ah.
There are more points I can make, but that is basically it. I would not be surprised if Yelan has met Skirk while in the Abyss however. That makes more sense to me. I predict Skirk is likely to be introduced in Snezhnaya when we get more of Childe/Tartaglia/Ajax's story. And to be more specific I guess she becomes playable between Act 6 and Act 7 of the story. I'm fine with being proven wrong, but these are my thoughts for now.
My ourburst was more of a "crack theory" than anything that would have any concrete evidence. I just like to throw ideas around and engage in a little tomfoolery with my community, lol. Another thing to consider is, Skirk is mentioned to be a "swordswoman" while Yelan uses a bow. I'm more towards leaning that she's either met Skirk, or has seen her from a distance while sleuthing!

there is still alot of misunderstanding in the chat, Mihoyo is NOT rename to Hoyoverse, Hoyoverse is a different entity with a different CEO, the idea is so Mihoyo which is still headed by Wei as CEO will concentrate on game development as a game studio, while the formal head of the board of director for Mihoyo will move to Hoyoverse as it CEO and serve as a publisher, allowing them to evaluate potentially expand option and acquire other IP/Studio. Mihoyo still exist as a company, only that they are no longer "indie" but is "working for" Hoyoverse. it is therefore not wrong to show your love and support for Mihoyo as they remain the developer of Genshin.
I wonder if the reason it took forever for Xiao's first rerun is because they might have been planning on releasing the Chasm before Inazuma but then went to Inazuma first. Xiao's Chasm story could have been told like half a year ago if that were the case.
I'm looking forward to the new version. The new events and story quest look awesome. I'm really excited about getting Yelan and Kuki Shinobu as well. I've been waiting for an electro healer to make an all electro team for a long time. Just need to do a ton of mora farming and I'm all set.
It is funny how we've gotten 2 Xiao reruns since Kazuha's release. Let's hope 2.8 brings along his rerun as well as a glimpse of Sumeru and the artifact load-out system the player base has been asking for since version 1.1. It sucks that I'll miss out on Xiao again though. He, Klee and Ayato are the only characters I'm still missing. I lost the 50/50 on both Xiao's and Klee's previous banners and this time I don't have the primos/$$ to get both Yelan and Xiao and Shinobu.
when looking through the livestream I noticed something. For context, Dislyte, a new game only released a few days ago have been popping up in a lot of genshin youtubers' videos. In the game there is a section in the character menu called strategy where you can see how mot people are building their characters, and I've heard a dislyte youtuber say that he had not seen anything like this in any other gacha game before (not verbatm). Seeing genshin implementing something similar around the same time dislyte was released seems a but suspicious lol

I'm not sure if I wanna pull for Yelan yet since I'm saving up for Kazuha but I'm pretty hype for Kuki Shinobu. I'm not guaranteed so I'm hoping I lose 50/50 when I pull for her. I'm also pretty hype for the events. I didn't participate as much during the last rhythm game because of the lagging issues I've had so I'm so thankful they decided to add a calibration feature for it. And LET'S GO YAKSHA LORE!!! I've been itching for it since I did The Yaksha's Wish world quest back when I was still pretty new to the game. Thank god we're getting some! This patch feels a little bit more lackluster than usual (maybe because we got so much from 2.6) but I'm guessing they're going to make up for a bit more content next patch and hey, new content means I get to come back and enjoy this game again.
I'm just so happy I'm going to be seeing Xiao again involving with Liyue's lore but I am heartbroken at the fact that I can't pull for his c2 (not enough primos + currently on 50/50) T^T
here's to hope that we will be seeing less non healer characters with healing bonus artifacts! that artifact stat reference feature is nice!!

As soon as they mentioned that they're doing a collab, I got excited. I was expecting another character like Aloy, but instead it was Funko Pops. Quite disappointing.
ppl should be patient about kazuha rerun. as mihoyo says reruns are tied in event and story. how can ppl blame mihoyo for not reruning kazuha when mihoyo knows they can make a lot of money with him. its bcs they care about the lore of the story not only to their profit. they cant simply put kazuha banner without any reasonable reason.
