So what's new? Treating the 'peaceful' guys the same way (appeasement) over and over again over 1,400 years has failed to change them. We need to change ourselves now!!
Ek hain to safe hain , Israel has shown that when faced with a illogical and radicalised belief system , democratic values and modern judiciary and laws are of no use . Afghanistan Pakistan and Bangladesh are prime examples of that
Perfectly said . After listening to 20 mts of ranting about Haqqani , jihad , isis , isi , al Qaeda Shia Sunni , you realise that the real problem is backward looking religious entity which is unable to improve any time soon . Definitely ek hain to safe hain !!!!
United india shared a long border with afghans and Northwest frontier province was actually afghan land .before the British the entire Indian history was wars between Indian rulers (Mughals) who came from Uzbekistan and Pathan invaders .Pakistan itself is half areas which were culturally originally Iranian (Baluchistan) and afghan(pakhtunkhawa) and “Indian” parts of Punjab and Sindh- Pakistan is the biggest buffer between “ that” region and india !!!!
Different factions within the Taliban are competing for power and supremacy. One is led by the haqqani network which is bankrolled and supported by ISI. Another is the kandhar based faction which is pashtun dominated. They may be united on broad ideological vision but differ on the level of Pakistan's influence and interference and the durand line. It's bound to create political instability which cannot come at a worse time when the threat of ISIS is rising.

All of this is pretty concerning when you realize the "buffer" between this stone age tribal war and J&K is just a narrow region of Pakistan/POK.
