The most accessible demo I've found. Nice to see A Person explaining it, to camera, instead of just Someone's Shoe poking at the button. Loved the line about 'even if you are not wearing shoes'. Made me chuckle. All in all, thank you.
I bought this and played with this for a few hours today. My main goal was to record something clean and try out different V1 tubes in my amp so I could sit back and hear the sound difference. It worked great! I used it after my OD's and EQ on the front of my amp, and then I tried putting it into the loop after my Holy Grail Max so it was recording the Reverb. Did a simple progression with massive reverb. then I took it and put it back in front of the loop. I then set the HG back and then let it roll... it was ethereal and amazing... very pink floyd. Made me wish it was running into a different amp so I could use it as a stand alone as running it after 2 OD pedals (on 0 - 9:00 drive) it can get overloaded, even though it's 'bypassing' the signal. As a practice tool its much faster and easier than breaking out garage band. I think the clarity is actually very good... Still need some work on the timing of creating the loop. I think it's worth checking out.
Hey JJ, although I realize the Nano 360 isn't a high end looper, it's cool for it's price and diminutive size. I always enjoy your demos, they're straight forward, informative, and your playing is tasteful. Thanks for another great demo.
Leave it to EHX to take something good and make it great; I don't know what's in the water over there, but their on quite a roll lately. I know they've received more of my money on the last year than in the last 10 combined. All I can say is bravo, and keep 'em coming!
I think about buying one. But I read that the sound of the loop signal is not exactly the same as from the original. What experience have you made about the recording quality?
This is amazing!!!! .........The possibilites are endless, I'm thinking two Nano's and I can lay down a riff push it through an outboard effect to the other Nano, overdub a fresh riff and then push the whole thing to a mastering effect like a compressor, Limiter, expander etc........... Now all it's missing is a sync in/out and a master slave switch to allow us to link multiple Nano's together then it gets even more interesting! want stereo sampling, no problem just sync two Nano's or maybe a multitrack recorder, sync 6 or 8 or as many as you like and record a live drum kit with all drums on independant channels! ........... so much potential!!! It's a brilliant little machine!
wow i got the tc looper and its sounds great but i really want those storage spaces. I'm constantly deleting loops i really like and want to make into songs and am forgetting half of them.
Just read the full description at EHX. Sounds like total is 360s. So 11 loops of roughly 30s. With the price of memory related electronic components, I would have hoped the recording time would be longer. The concept of storing loops is great but then it is brought down a notch with the 360s total limit.
Its good but there's also a NUX pedal that does more in a similar vein. I want to try both as suspect either could have quality loss/undesirable buffering. What i'd really like is a new improved hazarai pedal that has something like this pedal contained within.
***** this might make it out on top then. i'm put off by the similar boss and digitechs for some reason.....still i wonder about the buffer, my intention is to have this first and a hazarai last in my whole signal chain, maybe the other way around.
There is no quantization when playing with yourself, just as there is not when playing with other band members. If you can't stay in-time then practice.
took the plunge, got me own 360 now. I was wondering, does it need an internal battery to hold the memory patches? all multi-effects out there require lithium...
***** No German. Think of it like an SD card which does not need batteries. Of course this is not an SD card is memory chips but same principle. Have fun!!
ERASING A LOOP 1.To erase a loop, play-back must be stopped. If a loop is playing, press the Footswitch two times quickly. 2.Press and hold the Footswitch for 2 seconds. The MEM LED will blink six times then remain off, indicating the loop is erased. 3.Note: the ERASE function is only enabled when the loop has recorded memory, as indicated by the MEM LED remaining lit.
i love this pedal,as a beginner i am having trouble getting it it just right ,to start should i hit the switch a little before the first strum or right at the same time??and to stop without a gap should i hit it again ON the last strum??Great playing by the way really tasty ,can't wait to play like you.CHeers!
LEVEL Knob - Controls the output level of the Loop. Your dry signal remains at unity signal level from input to output. The dry signal also remains analog throughout the 360
They sell awesome plastic caps that snap over the buttons for more surface area. I have them on all of my pedals. Ebay for dirtcheap for a dozen. Barefoot playing never felt so easy.
I just ordered one after a bad experience with a donner tiny looper that had a huge delay after each loop. It was impossible to get a loop in time so I'm trusting EHX brand to be way better. That's why half of my pedal board is EHX boxes! Also does it need the reverse polarity cable like the old EHX pedals, center negative? Or the boss style center positive?
There are 360 seconds total for all 11 tracks, so I guess your 8 secs on your current track just add up to 360 total. Delete some tracks so you have more space
is it just me or does it feel that you need to increase the level nobe all the way up in order to hear your playback mode in order to overdub(just got the 360 nano looper yesterday, but I been placing my nobe all to 80%just so my overdubbing doesn't sound significantly louder than my playback)
been having the same problem, especially if you are using the distortion/gain on your amp... really have to look for that sweet spot, and even then it's quite messy together...
I'm thinking of buying this. Can you record something live, pause it while carrying on performing the song and only repeat that loop at the end of the song? If yes, how do you do that? thanks :)
***** i am afraid they did not improved the converters since the 2880. that was an amazing product feature-wise but i could not stand that sound quality loss so it's gone. i will buy next a ditto x2 IF this 360 has the same converters as 2880. and it would be a shame :F
The perceived loss in brightness might be do to the repeat playback level. In the opening clip its set set slightly lower than unity which gives just that effect. Though In the loops towards the end of the demo I cant really hear a lack of sparkly HF-content.
Anyone who does looping as part of their thing has just one question. What happens if you change loop while it's playing back? While recording? ( oh that's 2 questions ;-)
Looper noob question: so if I record a 30 sec loop and then play it back, it will play the 30 second loop over and over for me to jam over it? Then I could store a second 30s loop on the 2nd memory slot and do the same?
Yea, according to the manual, your latter description is correct. This does work out to ~30s between all 11 loops as others are saying, but it doesn't mean you MUST divide them up that way. Its a very convenient way to utilize the entire memory space. With other "single bank" loopers, whatever memory is not used for the loop is forfeit
hello EHX, thanks for the great products, i ordered one and it is on its way, i have a question please, you mentioned a very interesting thing, which is looping a drum into the device, how can i do that?, how i can be able to dial the drum into looper, by the way i have hydrogen free drummer, and i started to make drums on it. thanks

Demo is 6 years old and I just now finally ordered mine in 2021. Looking forward to the day it arrives!
me too
Just as i was A/Bing the Ditto looper, this comes out and takes the cake.
Love this guy's reviews always so calm and concise. Thank you, JJ.

Hmmm...i might consider this instead of the TC Electronic looper.
The memory location option beats them out.
Nice professional playing and a great demo!
Got one today. It does what it says on the box, easy to use.
I think about buying one. But I read that the sound of the loop signal is not exactly the same as from the original. What experience have you made about the recording quality?
@@thosch7237 mine sounds exactly how it should.
When I got my Nano Looper 360 at first I thought I paid too much and that it wasn't a good value, man was I wrong it was worth every penny.
DAMN YOU EHX!!!!!!! TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!!!!!
A lovely demo! That's a very clean and neat workspace you got there, great!
can you switch between memories while the loop is playing? or do you have to turn it off before changing memories
Extremely useful information, via a great demonstration!
Badassery right there. Have to look at one of these!
Good job
Thanks again, just bought it 🎸😀
Cool man. Great sound as well.
Je l'ai, après avoir eu plusieurs looper c'est la meilleurs la plus simple

I think so too, I was leaning toward
a dito, but I don't wanna go to editing, so I am happy with 11 presets at that price!
Sold for me
hey een nederlander ! goeie uitleg echt een tof ding man
wow i got the tc looper and its sounds great but i really want those storage spaces. I'm constantly deleting loops i really like and want to make into songs and am forgetting half of them.
that's extactly why I chose this one, simple storage, I prefer playing then messing around with PCs
Never used a looper. I was thinking about purchasing this as I’m the only guitarist in our band.
Lovely.
Is that 360 second per loop location? Or 360 seconds for all 11 stored loops?
That's what I'd like to know. No point if having ten save locations if all the time is used in 6 or 7.
Just read the full description at EHX. Sounds like total is 360s. So 11 loops of roughly 30s. With the price of memory related electronic components, I would have hoped the recording time would be longer. The concept of storing loops is great but then it is brought down a notch with the 360s total limit.
"11 loops of roughly 30s.." Or 1 loop that is 6 minutes! :)
EbolaSandwich this sucks. thought I'd be able to record 11 bass tracks to practice my entire live set.
Seems like the functions are taken directly from the TC electronics DITTO pedal, with battery and memory upgrades.
Can somebody tell UA-cam that sidebar video ads shouldn't start playing with volume in the middle of these videos!!
Could it be used for an electric bass?
YES!
Hij is nederlands!
He's dutch!
yes "voor papa"
Would anyone say this is the best live loop option?
It's buffered or true bypass?
Its good but there's also a NUX pedal that does more in a similar vein. I want to try both as suspect either could have quality loss/undesirable buffering. What i'd really like is a new improved hazarai pedal that has something like this pedal contained within.
or that the ditto x2 had so many memory locations. Really that nux pedal is perfect in specs but suspect cheapness in some way.
***** this might make it out on top then. i'm put off by the similar boss and digitechs for some reason.....still i wonder about the buffer, my intention is to have this first and a hazarai last in my whole signal chain, maybe the other way around.
This needs to be more clear. Is it 11x360s or 360s split between 11 locations (ie, roughly 32s for each spot).??????
Seems perfect at that price, but your timing has to be perfect, I mean there is no "quantization", right???
There is no quantization when playing with yourself, just as there is not when playing with other band members. If you can't stay in-time then practice.
Is it true bypass? I hope the dry signal remains true bypass even when the pedal is on, no need for another buffer.
Question. Is that 360 seconds total for all 11 save the recording‘s. Or is that 360 for each of the 11 recording’s.?
360 total
Wait so even if you use different effects in the recording, it will save the loop with those effects?
You might run it as an effect loop in your mixer and anything you send to it will be looped
took the plunge, got me own 360 now. I was wondering, does it need an internal battery to hold the memory patches? all multi-effects out there require lithium...
***** No German. Think of it like an SD card which does not need batteries.

ouh! nifty. thx.
How do you get rid of loops you don’t want anymore?
ERASING A LOOP 1.To erase a loop, play-back must be stopped. If a loop is playing, press the Footswitch two times quickly. 2.Press and hold the Footswitch for 2 seconds. The MEM LED will blink six times then remain off, indicating the loop is erased. 3.Note: the ERASE function is only enabled when the loop has recorded memory, as indicated by the MEM LED remaining lit.

Does anybody kow how long it lasts on battery?
Its Works With a 9V batery?
No it draws to much current and would kill a battery fairly fast.
What happens when you attempt a factory reset and the LEDs are still blinking after 10 mins ???
Please email our techs at info@ehx.com; they can assist you.
i love this pedal,as a beginner i am having trouble getting it it just right ,to start should i hit the switch a little before the first strum or right at the same time??and to stop without a gap should i hit it again ON the last strum??Great playing by the way really tasty ,can't wait to play like you.CHeers!
You need 4 4 timing to start with count 1 2 3 4.... Hit pedal on 1 start trimming on 1... Then hit pedal on after 4 but with timing
@@dillious_bankai1241 isn't there any kind of "quantization"?
what does the level knob do?
LEVEL Knob - Controls the output level of the Loop. Your dry signal remains at unity signal level from input to output. The dry signal also remains analog throughout the 360
What is the buffer like on this? Any change to tone when off?
+Danthehorse None and it allows you to run long cables and many pedals with out coloring the sound.
Great, thanks for your help
Pretty smart and small, send me one. I can give a review in Spanish.
did he just play winnie the pooh lol
A Heffalump or Woozle, is very confusel!

Yes!

It is center negative like Boss and many other pedals.
does anyone know how long the loops are supposed to be...? mine start replaying at 8 seconds....it is supposed to be longer...
There are 360 seconds total for all 11 tracks, so I guess your 8 secs on your current track just add up to 360 total. Delete some tracks so you have more space
