i like to imagine starfield is situated centuries after the initial atomic bombs hit the earth in the fallout universe
Because any reasonable amount of atomic bombs can strip the atmosphere off of a planet and that happens 2 centuries after they're used, and people also definitely forget everything about the world history and technology would advance by that much in 43 years.

Flaaout takes place in the same universe as starfield. The gravdrive just swapped it with the earth in game. Like in that one mission where u save the dude trapped in an alternate reality parallel to the current reality
