For some reason, whenever I listen to this song, I picture a character from a book coming to live and falling in love with the writer. I don't know if that make sense, but that's what I keep thinking whenever I hear this song.

It just seems so sad that she can't be more straight forward about her feelings but its obviously a relationship where the guy is oblivious to her signals, probably some long standing friendship that is making this so problematic. Its always when two people are in love but can't see the affection as any different from the friendship it grew from that tears me apart inside.

I really love this song!! It so get's my imagination going and all I'm thinking now about is that what if she really was a character he was working on, and somehow began to witniss the world he lives in and slowly falls in love with him, all the while everytime she smiles at him it always goes unnoticed because she is a Painting/Book character, and because of this she's allowing him to make her into whatever he wants as a way to express that she doesn't mind as long as she's there with him until the end. XD
I haven't listened to this song in six years and the entire meaning of the song has changed.
